Customer Reviews

Customer Review: The vacuum is just like the other Sharks I have had. Great suction, filtration and ease of use. I love the hand roller tool, it works great on my cat trees! Also the other tools work well. The only downfall is the cord is much shorter than my last Shark. My last Shark is still working, but it has been used a lot. Excellent quality, I have no doubt it will last for years. I would buy this again. Only my 3rd Shark because they last while getting put through the test at our house. Its been 30 years of using them. This one is powerful and picks up all the dirt and pet hair. Nice size dirt bin too.

Customer Review: It works great! It’s easy to use and easy to clean. I like that it swivels and gets to places my old vacuum couldn’t. The lift away feature allows easy cleaning of couches, and it gets the tight spots with the attachments. It’s great at picking up dog hair. I never realized my previous vacuum left so much dirt! There is less dust thanks to the HEPA filter. That was a must have.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: The accessory tools are a real bonus with this vacuum. This has great suction and is so easy to use. It doesn’t stand alone but that’s not a big deal for me. I highly recommend this is you need a good solution to a vacuum without having to lug around a bigger canister vacuum. It stores easily using minimal space. This is a great price for this handy vacuum. I just had a knee replacement and this vacuum is so easy for me to use and still be able to keep my carpets and hardwood floors looking good.

Customer Review: I have lots of vacuums. I have cordless sticks, traditional sweepers and the robot vacuums that run when I’m not around. I have two dogs, so I feel like I need to clean the floors constantly. I found that the cordless sweepers are convenient, but not very powerful. I wanted a light vacuum with strong suction and I knew that a battery wouldn’t work…that’s why I got the corded version. Wow. It’s so powerful. It really picks up the dirt and I am very happy with how well it cleans my carpets. The cord is long enough that I can move around easily. It’s not very noisy and I really enjoy it. It was super easy to put together and although I saw some negative reviews about storage, I haven’t had any issues with just leaning it up against a wall. It was a great buy and I am very happy with the quality.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I’ve been using my Shark Cordless vacuum for a few months now. I still love it. I was waiting to make sure it kept working before reviewing. So far, so good. I haven’t had the best luck with the less expensive cordless vacuums. One was so hard to clean I just sent it back. Another had a problem with the rollers not spinning. I managed to keep it going for 2 years but always presented problems. This one is easy. The rollers stop the nanosecond a problem is detected and nothing has gotten wrapped up in them. This one is not so expensive that I couldn’t afford it and is what I was looking for. It seems durable and hopefully it will last more than a few years. It’s easy to use, lightweight and empties very easily. Just hold it over the garbage can and push the button. Nice. It’s also easy to charge. I just plug it in next to a wall and let it charge. My only complaint is actually that the charge barely lasts long enough. I have 1204 sq. ft. on 3 levels. I use a larger, corded vacuum for the top level that has 2 carpeted bedrooms. So, I’m only vacuuming the hard floors on the 2nd level (with some throw rugs) and the carpeted living room on the ground floor. Also 18 total carpeted steps. So, I wish the charge would last another 10-15 minutes for a more complete job. That said, it works so well, that I’m still very happy. The best part is that it’s small enough and light enough to make cleaning the stairs a lot less of a chore than with a full-sized regular vacuum. The rollers pull strongly and the suction is quite adequate. Not overwhelmingly so but does the job. I have 2 cats and need to be able to have a handy device especially for the steps where they love to play.

Customer Review: As a disclaimer, our home is 1700ft2, and about 2/3 of it is carpeted. The vacuum works phenomenal on the regular carpeting and hardwood in the house, but struggles a little bit with the wool area rug. The variety of ways this vacuum can be assembled makes it extremely versatile. For example, using the regular brush roll head while removing the extension works wonders on the carpeted stairs. The short “handheld” version with the scraper does great on the couch. And the extension, with the small ended nozzle, works great for after the initial vacuuming, getting all the dirt along the edges of the rooms and furniture. It lays down almost flat, so getting under things like the dog food bowls, the couch, the dining room table etc are a breeze. So the reason I made the title the way it is, is related to battery life. To realistically clean our first floor (mostly hardwood/tile + wool rug) and the second floor (totally carpeted) will eat up the entire battery. The battery is NOT fast to charge. The runtime is based I believe on the vacuum running in “handheld mode” (aka without the brush head). So, if you’re home is over 1500ft2 and mostly carpeted, you’re going to have to throw it on the charger for a while most likely. I think it would greatly benefit Shark to come up with swappable batteries, think Milwaukee or DeWalt style. If you’re handy you can do this yourself, but it would greatly benefit the company to have a proprietary design for this. Another con, though I hesitate to call it a con based on the portability of this vacuum, is the power. As mentioned, it does great on our regular carpeting, but just isn’t as good as the corded Shark we’ve had for almost 10 years. This is to be expected as the motor in the corded vac draws significantly more power than the cordless battery version, but still worth mentioning. The vacuum is very light and easy to use. The blue light on the front of the roller head is AWESOME, and will show every spec of dirt on any uncarpeted surface. Overall, for the sale price we got it at (I want to say between $175-225, can’t remember exactly) it has been excellent. Just keep in mind how much you’re going to want to run it at once, as if you’re living space is too big, you will have to take long breaks to recharge the vacuum.

Its LiDAR navigation creates precise maps, allowing for methodical, efficient cleaning without random bumps. The 6,000 Pa suction is exceptionally strong, and the NeverTangle brush roll is a dream for pet owners—it sheds hair automatically. The best part for Pergo? The mop pad lifts automatically when it detects carpet, so you never have to worry about a wet mop on your rugs.

  • LiDAR Navigation: Smart mapping for efficient, systematic cleaning paths.
  • NeverTangle Brush Roll: Automatically sheds pet hair, minimizing maintenance.
  • Auto-Lift Mop Pad: Raises mop on carpets, keeping rugs dry.
  • Self-Empty Base: Automatically empties debris for up to 45 days.
  • Powerful 6,000 Pa Suction: Excellent for embedded dirt and pet hair.

Why We Recommend It

This robot takes the work out of maintaining Pergo floors. Set a schedule in the app and forget it. It’s brilliant at navigating around furniture and transitions between hard floors and area rugs seamlessly. The self-emptying base is a true luxury, meaning you might only interact with it once a month. For busy households, it’s a game-changer for daily upkeep.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I got this primarily because I have pets and a mix of hard floors and area rugs, and I needed something that could keep up with daily hair, dirt, and dust without me constantly dragging out my regular vacuum. I can honestly say this machine has made proven to be incredible and there is a noticeable difference in how clean my floors stay from day to day. The packaging was secure and everything arrived well organized. The robot, self-emptying base, mop pad attachments, and accessories were neatly arranged and protected. You get two mop pads, and one dry vacuum pad, as well as sample solution, so it is ready to go right out of the box. The unit itself is sturdy and extremely well made. The self-emptying base is larger than a traditional charging dock, but it looks sleek and modern. Setup was simple. After plugging in the base and charging the robot, the app guided me through the connection process. The mapping feature was one of the first things that impressed me. The navigation system scanned my home and created a detailed layout of the rooms during the first cleaning cycle. Once the map was complete, I was able to label rooms, set cleaning zones, and schedule cleaning routines. The robot moves in organized lines instead of wandering randomly, which makes it feel very efficient. The suction power is excellent. I have hardwood floors, tile, and several area rugs, and the vacuum transitions between them without any issues. On hard floors it picks up everything from dust and crumbs to tracked-in dirt and pet hair. On rugs, it actually pulls out hair that I didn’t realize was still embedded in the fibers. The cleaning pattern is systematic and thorough, and it covers the entire floor instead of missing sections. One of my favorite features is the no-tangle pet brush roll. I have dealt with many vacuums where long hair and pet hair wraps tightly around the roller, requiring scissors to cut it off. With this vacuum, hair buildup is dramatically reduced. Who wants to clean a vacuum? Not me and I don’t have to worry about that with this. The mopping feature works well for everyday upkeep and spills. It does a good job removing paw prints, residue, and sticky spots. What I really appreciate is the liftable mop pad, which raises automatically when the robot detects carpet or rugs. That means I can let it run without worrying about damp pads dragging across my rugs. The self-emptying base is another feature that makes this vacuum extremely convenient. I have never had a product that has a self emptying base, though I’ve own at least a dozen other vacuums in my life. Instead of emptying the dustbin after every cleaning cycle, the robot automatically empties debris into the base station. This significantly reduces how often I have to interact with the machine. For a busy household, this makes the whole experience feel hands-off. Navigation around furniture has also been impressive. The robot moves around table legs, couches, and chairs without constantly bumping into things. It recognizes obstacles and adjusts its route smoothly. It also manages transitions between rooms and flooring surfaces without getting stuck. Battery life has been more than sufficient for my home. It is able to clean my entire main floor on one charge. If the battery does run low during a larger cleaning job, it returns to the dock to recharge and then resumes cleaning where it left off. Another thing I appreciate is the HEPA filtration system. With pets in the house, controlling fine dust and allergens is important to me. The filtration helps trap those particles rather than recirculating them back into the air. In terms of noise, it’s quieter than a traditional vacuum but still powerful enough that you can hear it working. It isn’t disruptive, especially when scheduled to run while you’re out or busy doing other things. I also love the ability for the product to connect to a mobile app. This makes it easy to control even when I’m not at home, so I can leave the house with dirty floors and come home to clean floors with just a few clicks on my phone. Overall, I’ve been extremely satisfied with this. It is by far the best machine I’ve ever owned. The combination of strong suction, intelligent navigation, pet-friendly brush design, and the convenience of a self-emptying base makes this a premium cleaning tool rather than just a gadget. My floors stay consistently cleaner with far less effort on my part. For anyone with pets, hard floors, and busy schedules, this robot vacuum and mop is a fantastic investment that significantly reduces daily cleaning work.

Customer Review: I picked this up mainly to keep up with pet hair, dust, and daily mess across a mix of hard floors and rugs, and it has made a huge difference in how clean everything stays from day to day. The biggest thing you notice right away is how much less effort it takes to maintain clean floors. Setup is straightforward. The app walks you through everything, and the LiDAR mapping creates a detailed layout of the home and then cleans in organized lines instead of randomly bumping around. Once mapped, you can label rooms, set zones, and schedule cleanings, which makes it feel very automated. Cleaning performance is strong. It handles transitions between hardwood, tile, and rugs without any issues, and the suction is good enough to pull out pet hair and dirt you didn’t even realize was there. The no-tangle brush roll is especially useful if you have pets or long hair since it reduces that usual maintenance of cutting hair off the roller. The mopping feature is better suited for maintenance rather than deep cleaning. It does a good job with light messes like footprints or everyday residue, and the liftable mop pad is a great since it automatically raises over rugs so you don’t have to worry about damp carpets. The self-emptying base is what really makes this feel like a hands-off solution. Instead of constantly emptying a dustbin, it handles that on its own, which makes a big difference if you run it frequently. The base is a bit large, so you do need to plan where to place it, but the convenience is worth it. Navigation is generally very good, especially around furniture and tight areas, though it still benefits from basic prep like picking up cords or small objects beforehand. Battery life is also solid, easily handling a full floor, and it will recharge and resume if needed. There are a couple of drawbacks. The app could use better guidance, especially when setting up maps and zones, and occasional navigation hiccups can happen where it needs a reset or remap. The water tank for mopping is also on the smaller side if you have a large area. Overall, this feels like a premium cleaning solution rather than just a gadget. Between the strong suction, smart navigation, self-emptying base, and pet-friendly design, it significantly reduces day-to-day cleaning effort. If you have pets or a busy household, this is a very worthwhile improvement for keeping floors consistently clean with minimal involvement.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I’ve had this for about 3 months, I have multiple little kids under the age of 8 and a golden retriever, and our backyard is dirt. We just install new tile but it is dark and shows EVERYTHING, and finding the time to keep it clean was beginning to feel like a never ending chore/nightmare. This thing is worth it and it works! I do have some tips for those who said it leaves streaking, so check that out below. I would have maybe given it 4.5 stars because I feel the cleaning solution could be a little stronger, but it is still so effective I don’t think it’s worth subtracting stars from the review. And my tips help that out a lot: 1. Use more soap (I found using 2-3 times the recommended amount works for us and leaves less streaking and residue. They don’t recommend using much so it doesn’t affect how quickly the bottle goes. And fortunately the refill bottle is 5x bigger than the small one that comes with the vacuum so it’s still price effective). 2. Replace the roller. Because we have such heavy duty cleaning that needs to be done, i plan to replace the roller at least every other month, although maybe I should replace it once a month I am just being cheap. Ordering replacement rollers is easy though! 3. Go over the same spot more than once. It’s like a regular mop, you can’t pass over things once and expect it to get perfectly clean. But 2-3 passes is usually sufficient. 4. Put it on the charging dock for self cleaning between rooms. Again, like a regular mop that needs rinsing every few feet, except this doesn’t need as much as that. But between cleaning rooms I’ll have it self clean, if the floors are especially dirty. And that seems to make a huge difference. 5. Occasionally when I want a deep clean, I “pre spray” the tile with Odoban tile cleaner (the blue packaged one) in an industrial spray bottle and then go over that with the Dreame. I know it says to never use another type of cleaner so this is my compromise if I want a super deep clean after I haven’t cleaned in several days. It seems to be fine, I have only done that twice though. And I have to empty the dirty water more often during the cleaning but otherwise doesn’t seem to affect the machine if I do that way. Some other notes: battery is great. We have a 2050sqft home and even on days when I am mop vaccing everything it’s only ever gotten down to 40% so the battery lasts a great long time! If you forget to empty the dirty water tank it will start to smell. But it’s easy to empty and clean. I usually have it run the self clean cycle twice once I am completely done (again because we have so much dirt it needs to clean). It will still occasionally leave a streak, even after I have done all of this. But I think I only notice it because our tile is so dark. If it wasn’t for that I would not see it, and it leaves no residue, floors so clean and nice afterwards. Because I can use it every day, I don’t mind an occasional streak for having otherwise spotless floors! It’s worth the money in my opinion, I’m curious to see how long the life of the machine actually is with all the hard work it has to do at our house. But if it only lasted a year I would still consider it worth it for our personal sanity and home hygiene!

Customer Review: Great product, easy to use & works very well. Great value for the price.

Cons:
  • Does not stand upright on its own.
  • Some users report occasional clogs at the base.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: We bought this vacuum back in 2021 and are very pleased with it. The battery lasts long, allowing us to vacuum our whole upstairs and downstairs on one charge, and the suction does a good job with cat hair. We like how it can fit under furniture and goes around things easily. It has gotten clogged at the base a few times but I think that was more from vacuuming up food that got stuck over time, and then it’s really easy to unclog it. One of the parts that connects to the main stick did break after four years, but that might be more from quickly dropping it to snatch my toddler up from getting into something. We were happy with it so it was an easy decision to buy the same one four years later.

Customer Review: As someone who’s always on the lookout for a vacuum that’s both powerful and easy to use, the Shark Cordless Vacuum Cleaner (IZ363HT) has completely exceeded my expectations. I originally picked it up to deal with all the pet hair around the house, and it’s been a game-changer. What I love most is how lightweight and portable it is. I don’t have to wrestle with a bulky, corded vacuum anymore, which makes cleaning way easier. The fact that it’s cordless means I can take it around the house (and even into the car) without being limited by power outlets. The 50-minute runtime is impressive too—I can easily clean my entire house in one go without worrying about it running out of battery halfway through. It’s also great for pet owners. The powerful pet hair pickup feature works wonders on furniture, rugs, and floors, pulling up every last bit of fur. The HEPA filter is an added bonus, capturing even the tiniest dust particles and ensuring that the air stays fresh while I clean. I also love how easy it is to switch between the different attachments. The crevice tool gets into those tight spots, and the dusting brush is perfect for delicate surfaces. Plus, the removable handheld makes it a breeze to clean stairs, upholstery, or any place that needs extra attention. Overall, this Shark vacuum has made my cleaning routine more efficient and enjoyable. It’s powerful, versatile, and just so easy to use. If you’re looking for a high-performing, portable vacuum, this one’s definitely worth considering.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This is by far the best purchase I’ve made this year. We replaced our cordless Dyson with this because the Dyson started falling apart after about 8 months. Every time we’d vacuum with it, we’d lift the vacuum off the floor to empty it into the trash can and everything we just vacuumed would fall out of the brushes, even after cleaning the vacuum and checking for clogs. This Shark does everything we wished the Dyson would’ve done. Against edges, it automatically powers up and sucks harder to suck things from under the baseboards. Going from hardwood to carpet is amazing. No switching heads like the Dyson. It automatically engages the rollers down on carpet and sucks much harder. Back to hardwood it automatically knows and goes back to hardwood/tile mode. Dust debris started to build up a bit in the dust bin on the Shark, but taking it apart and washing it is so easy. The weight of the vacuum is very light and easy to manage, but still has a very sturdy, strong feel. The automatic emptying design is the best I’ve ever seen. The battery life is awesome. It doesn’t even use 1/4 of the battery when we vacuum our 2200 sf home. The way it doesn’t clog with pet hair is the best designs we’ve used. Never a clog and we vacuum a ton of dog hair from our yellow lab everyday. I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone that’s nervous about switching brands. This thing is the best purchase you’ll make in terms of a new vacuum.

Customer Review: I did a lot of research before buying this and glad I did. It’s my first cordless and, maybe I just got lucky but I couldn’t be happier with it. It has plenty of suction power. You name it and it sucks it up from cat hair to kibble, cheerios to rice. It has a sensor that “knows” when it’s on carpet and automatically the vacuum increases power. Then when it gets on vinyl/smooth flooring it knows and and automatically lowers the power a bit but still easily sucks up everything without flinging it back. It also has sensors and knows when you get close to a wall and automatically increases power so it gets everything close to the wall. The other thing it has sensor(s) for is that it “knows” is when it is sucking up more dirt in a particular spot and so also speeds up to be sure it gets it all. All that speeding up when needed and then slowing down, is to save battery power without sacrificing cleaning. I’ve run it for about 30 minutes in that “auto” mode and still had a little bit of battery power left. You can manually set it to a constant low or high power but I’ve left it on the middle, automatic power detect setting and let it decide how much power to use and when to use it (or not). It does such a good job on that setting that I see no reason to change it. I suspect on a constant high setting your battery would run out of juice pretty quickly, probably in 15 minutes or so. I also find that I use the flex wand more than I thought I would. Great for getting under beds or whatever without bending over so much to do so. When you’re finished vacuuming, just stick it on the docking station and the docking station sucks out the dirt from the vacuum cleaner and puts that dirt in a docking station container. When docked, it also recharges the battery. That dock station container holds a lot so you don’t need to empty it very often maybe once a month or so, if that much depending on your situation. When you do need to empty the docking station container, it easily disconnects from the docking station with one hand. Take the container and hold it over garbage can, push a lever and the bottom opens up and dumps everything in garbage can. I wish it came with more attachments. Mine came with two and neither had a brush which I really would like to have. I also wish there was some onboard way to carry one or more of the attachments on the vacuum itself. I knew these things weren’t including when I bought it so no stars off.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Excellent vacuum. Powerful suction and lightweight, easy to maneuver, design. I like the larger tank which affords longer use without need of emptying as frequently. The lift away is great for blinds, curtains, overhead vents, et al. Another great feature is the three position power switch: 1) off, 2) on/suction only, and 3) on/suction and brush. The suction only is particularly useful if you are vacuuming an uncarpeted hardwood, or tile floor. I’ve been hard on vacuums in the past and gone through some highly rated models but I feel like this Shark model might actually go the distance.

Customer Review: This is a long one, but it’s worth the read if you’re doing some serious shopping for a vacuum cleaner: I picked this up in October so I’ve been using it for a few months just to get a genuine sense of how this vacuum really performed and I am absolutely impressed! This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. ( If you’re wondering why I own so many vacuums, I clean for a living.) I bought this for the house. I have two cats and a husband who’s into Warhammer so you know there are sprew bits and cat hair everywhere and this thing handles it like a champ! I wasn’t sold on how small the floor attachment was until I used it: I can get underneath my barstools so much easier now and my entire house ( approx. 2000 sq ft.) is done in 20 minutes, tops! There is a learning curve, but that’s something you get with any new vacuum. I was also super impressed by the ease with which I can switch from floor to handheld attachments. Some of these other vacuums I’ve used are so bulky and difficult to handle all the small attachments… Not this one! I’m able to switch back and forth from floor to handheld quick, fast and in a hurry. Bonus points that it’s lightweight. I’m not killing myself just to vacuum my house. It’s really saved my back! And it was so much less expensive than the Dyson or the Kirby. The window on the floor attachment gives me a clear view of the roller brush ( yeah, it makes me accountable which is a good thing. It’s harder to ignore when I can see it so thanks for that, too. ). The cord is a tad short, so I went ahead a bought a small extension cord to go with it, but other than that, I’m very impressed! I wish I had bought this years ago. I will never buy another vacuum from anyone else other than Shark again. Good job, guys! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious little vacuum.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: After recently installing new hard floors throughout most of our home, I was searching for a lightweight vacuum that would clean both the hard floors and area rugs. I never thought that I would ever say that I now enjoying vacuuming, but this Shark Rocket Ultra-Light stick vac has been a real changer. It has great suction and the swivel head makes it so easy to go under furniture, around and through dining table/chair legs and along baseboards. This is the first vac that gets squarely into the corners under the kitchen cabinets. The vac is super simple to assemble is less than a minute, to empty the dirt cup, put on attachments to sweep air duct grilles, refrigerator grilles, ceiling corners or wherever. It is also so lightweight that it is no big deal to carry up and down stairs for multi-level cleaning. In fact, our basement is finished and has carpeted floors, and this little gem thoroughly sweeps the carpet. I love this vac so much that I just gave one to my daughter as a birthday gift. Be sure to order some extra filters to have on hand when you clean the one that comes with the unit. That way, you’ll be able to vac when you need to without having to wait for the filter to dry. The only cons for this unit is that with the location of the unit’s cord, you have to drag that around with you to empty the dirt cup and that it is top heavy and doesn’t stand on it’s own. However, those are negligible given the suction, maneuverability and lightweight design. Highly, highly recommend!

Customer Review: For decades I have had a wall vacuum unit and I thought it was just okay. Recently the brush head broke and I came onto Amazon to price a replacement. Over a hundred dollars just for the brush head unit! Since I was never in love with the system I started pricing Dysons…all but the cheapest unit was out of my price range and I wasn’t overly impressed with the reviews. So I headed over to the Shark reviews, looked at the various units and found I could get a nice unit for about $50 more than the replacement part for my wall system. Easy to assemble in a minute or so, easy to understand how to use…nice accessories. Since I was in the kitchen when I was putting it together, I decided to try it out first on an area rug my dog lays on (he’s a short haired breed). The rug was about 2×4 no big area here…to say I was impressed was an understatement…I was shocked at the amount of dust and hair the unit picked up effortlessly…actually it was kinda creepy to know all that dirt was in that little rug, it filled the cup about halfway! I put on the floor dusting attachment and finished the kitchen, the cup is now full. Easy enough to empty the cup, I didn’t understand all the whining about this feature in the reviews. Moved onto the dining room, nearly filled the cup again in just that room and it had been recently vacuumed. Moved onto the living room and got about 75% of it done before I had to find a new outlet, I was plugged into the kitchen and I have a big house over 2000 square feet! Filled the cup again and…maybe it was my imagination but my bare feet on the carpet felt cleaner. Easy to maneuver, you don’t have to push it, it self propels forward saving a lot of backache. The other attachments were pretty much what you get with all other units with the exception of the mini ones that can clean you keyboard…I think it might suck up my laptop it’s so powerful, I haven’t used it yet so I can’t comment. Used it some more the next day on more floors and bedroom carpets and was shocked at the amount of dust and hair in the cup. Now I will qualify my statements by saying I have never owned a Dyson, I’ve never even used one so I can’t compare the two. For the difference in price, there is nothing that the Dyson could offer me that I would want or need that the Shark doesn’t already give me. I will also add that I was shocked how light the unit was, with all the “bones” up high by your handle, I thought reaching high with the attachments to get cobwebs off the ceiling would strain my wrist…nope, it was effortless. My ceilings are really high, 20 feet in some areas and I was able to get to all but the highest points and those areas I could get with a small step stool. As far as how long the unit will last…for the price if it only lasts until the 5 year warranty runs out I will be happy, I’ve spent a whole lot more on units that only had a fraction of the cleaning power that this baby holds. I feel I got a really great value for the price. That you can’t stand it up on it’s own is a minor hassle I can deal with. I recommend this unit highly!

Complete Buying Guide for Best Shark Vacuum For Pergo Flooring

Essential Factors We Consider

Choosing the right Shark vacuum for your Pergo floors means focusing on a few key features. Brushroll type is critical. Look for vacuums with a bristleless brushroll or a dedicated “hard floor” setting that stops the brushroll entirely. This prevents any potential scratching of the laminate finish. Suction power is next; you need strong suction to pull debris out of the Pergo’s embossed texture without a brushroll doing the work. Weight and maneuverability matter because Pergo floors are often in kitchens, hallways, and living areas where you’ll be moving around furniture. A lightweight, swiveling head is a huge plus. Finally, consider battery life for cordless models—ensure the runtime is sufficient for your hard floor square footage.

Budget Planning

You have excellent options at every price point. For under $200, the Shark IX141 Pet Cordless offers great value with cordless convenience and floor-safe features. In the $200-$400 mid-range, the Shark HV301 Rocket Pet (corded) and Shark IZ363HT (cordless) provide outstanding performance and versatility. The premium tier ($400+) includes advanced models like the Shark IP3253 PowerDetect with auto-empty bases and the Bissell 4270 Robot for full automation. Remember, a higher price often means better filtration (HEPA), longer battery life, and more convenience features.

Final Thoughts

Your Pergo floors are an investment, and the right vacuum will keep them looking beautiful for years. Shark’s lineup is uniquely suited for this task, offering models that prioritize gentle yet effective cleaning. Whether you choose a powerful upright like the NV356E for whole-home cleaning, a lightweight cordless like the IZ363HT for quick jobs, or a robot for daily maintenance, you can’t go wrong. Prioritize models with a brushroll shut-off or bristleless brushroll, strong suction, and good maneuverability to match your specific home layout and cleaning routine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I use a Shark vacuum with a rotating brushroll on Pergo flooring?

A: Yes, but with caution. Many Shark vacuums, like the Navigator Lift-Away series, have a brushroll shut-off feature. Always use the suction-only mode when cleaning Pergo or any hard floor. If a model lacks this feature, ensure its brushroll is specifically designed for hard floors (often with softer bristles or a bristleless design) to avoid fine scratches over time.

Q: What’s better for Pergo floors: corded or cordless Shark vacuums?

A: Both have merits. Corded models (like the Rocket series) offer unlimited, consistent power and often stronger suction, making them ideal for deep cleaning large areas. Cordless models offer unparalleled convenience and maneuverability for quick daily cleanups and multi-level homes. For Pergo, the key is the brushroll control, not the power source. Choose based on your cleaning frequency and home size.

Q: Will a Shark vacuum scratch my Pergo floors?

A: Not if you use it correctly. Always ensure the brushroll is turned off (on models with that feature) when cleaning hard floors. Models like the Navigator and Rocket have this setting. For cordless models without a physical switch, many automatically reduce brushroll agitation on hard floors. Avoid vacuums with aggressive, hard-bristled brushrolls that are meant only for carpet.

Q: How often should I vacuum Pergo flooring?

vacuuming 2-3 times per week to prevent grit and debris from acting like sandpaper and scratching the finish. Less frequented rooms can be done weekly. Using a lightweight, easy-to-maneuver Shark vacuum makes frequent cleaning less of a chore.

Q: What other accessories are useful for cleaning Pergo?

A: The crevice tool is essential for getting along baseboards and between floorboards. A dusting brush is perfect for cleaning vents, ceiling fans, and furniture without scattering dust onto your clean floors. A hard floor attachment (sometimes a dedicated soft roller or pad) is the safest bet for direct floor contact.

Ultimately, the best Shark vacuum for your Pergo flooring is the one that fits your home’s layout, your cleaning style, and your budget. From the versatile Lift-Away uprights to the agile cordless sticks and hands-free robots, Shark has a solution that will keep your laminate floors pristine without causing damage. Consider your primary needs—power, convenience, or automation—and choose the model that will make your regular cleaning routine effortless and effective.
