Our Top 10 Best Shark Vacuum For Tile Floors Reviews – Expert Tested & Recommended

🏆 Best Choice

1. Shark IX141 Pet Cordless Vacuum

Shark IX141 pet cordless vacuum: LED headlights, removable handheld, p

The Shark IX141 is a versatile cordless wonder that truly shines on tile floors. Its hypervelocity suction picks up everything from fine dust to larger debris, while the LED headlights reveal hidden dirt in grout lines and under furniture. What I love is how it transforms from a stick vacuum to a handheld for quick cleanups. The 40-minute runtime is solid for most small to medium homes, and the self-cleaning brushroll means pet hair won’t get tangled. It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver, making it a joy to use daily.

Key Features That Stand Out

✓ Hypervelocity suction for powerful cleaning
✓ LED headlights to reveal hidden debris
✓ Converts to handheld vacuum
✓ Self-cleaning brushroll prevents hair wrap
✓ Up to 40 minutes of runtime

Why We Recommend It

This vacuum is a top all-around pick for tile because it combines strong suction with brilliant illumination. You’ll actually see the dirt you’re picking up, which is a game-changer for grout. The cordless design eliminates the hassle of finding an outlet, and it’s light enough to carry up and down stairs easily.

Best For

Pet owners with tile floors, anyone wanting cordless convenience, and smaller homes or apartments where a 40-minute charge covers the whole space.

Pros and Cons

Pros:
  • Excellent visibility with bright LED lights
  • Powerful suction on both hard floors and carpets
  • Lightweight and easy to convert to handheld
  • Self-cleaning brushroll handles pet hair well
Cons:
  • Battery life may not cover very large homes in one go
  • Dust cup is smaller than some upright models

Customer Reviews

I’ve been using my Shark Cordless vacuum for a few months now. I still love it. I was waiting to make sure it kept working before reviewing. So far, so good. The rollers stop the nanosecond a problem is detected and nothing has gotten wrapped up in them. It’s easy to use, lightweight and empties very easily. Just hold it over the garbage can and push the button. The blue light on the front of the roller head is AWESOME, and will show every spec of dirt on any uncarpeted surface.

— Amazon Customer

As a disclaimer, our home is 1700ft2, and about 2/3 of it is carpeted. The vacuum works phenomenal on the regular carpeting and hardwood in the house. The variety of ways this vacuum can be assembled makes it extremely versatile. For example, using the regular brush roll head while removing the extension works wonders on the carpeted stairs. The short “handheld” version with the scraper does great on the couch. So the reason I made the title the way it is, is related to battery life. To realistically clean our first floor and the second floor will eat up the entire battery. The battery is NOT fast to charge.

Cons:

Customer Reviews

Works well. Does what it says. I saw a lot of reviews saying it left swirly dirt marks but I think it’s honestly just getting old dirt up that I never could before, so it’s worth it. I have a small place but the water reservoir held enough for me to go over my kitchen and bathroom once. I vacuumed first but it did catch some hair and things that the vacuum missed which was nice. I can easily wash the pads by hand which I prefer. Overall this is a great product for someone that has a small place and no room for a bucket to mop regularly.

— Amazon Customer

Where it really surprised me was on wood floors. I was initially hesitant to use steam on my hardwood floors, but figured I would just try it out. I went straight for the floors in front of our patio door – a high traffic area. I have water stains and buildup that I can’t seem to get off. This steam and scrub did it! I could not believe it. Pros: Excellent cleaning power on both tile and wood, Buffs wood floors to a nice shine, Lightweight and easy to use, Quiet operation. Cons: tight corners cannot be reached, Cord not long enough.

Customer Reviews

The accessory tools are a real bonus with this vacuum. This has great suction and is so easy to use. It stores easily using minimal space. This is a great price for this handy vacuum. I just had a knee replacement and this vacuum is so easy for me to use and still be able to keep my carpets and hardwood floors looking good.

— Amazon Customer

I have lots of vacuums. I found that the cordless sweepers are convenient, but not very powerful. I wanted a light vacuum with strong suction and I knew that a battery wouldn’t work…that’s why I got the corded version. Wow. It’s so powerful. It really picks up the dirt and I am very happy with how well it cleans my carpets. The cord is long enough that I can move around easily. It’s not very noisy and I really enjoy it. It was super easy to put together and I haven’t had any issues with just leaning it up against a wall. It was a great buy.

Customer Reviews

I’ve had this little shark vacuum cleaner for almost 2 years and I fall in love again and again, every time I use it. This little vacuum cleaner not only is lightweight but super powerful and gets everything. AND I MEAN EVERYTHING!! I live in a smaller apartment but I have 2 dogs a cat and 4 ferrets, all of them love to shed everywhere, but this vacuum cleaner gets all of it. There’s been a couple times that it would get clogged, but that was mainly user error. The cord length is perfect for each room with extra to spare and considering how much I paid for this vacuum, I’m definitely getting my money’s worth plus some.

— Amazon Customer

AWESOME Vacuum! Had my last Shark Rocket for 7 years. They work well, light weight, strong suction for dirt & PET HAIR and last a LONG time! Doesn’t take up a lot of room to store, long cord and easy to empty. Checks all the boxes! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Customer Reviews

Excellent vacuum. Powerful suction and lightweight, easy to maneuver, design. I like the larger tank which affords longer use without need of emptying as frequently. The lift away is great for blinds, curtains, overhead vents, et al. Another great feature is the three position power switch: 1) off, 2) on/suction only, and 3) on/suction and brush. The suction only is particularly useful if you are vacuuming an uncarpeted hardwood, or tile floor. I’ve been hard on vacuums in the past but I feel like this Shark model might actually go the distance.

— Amazon Customer

This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. I bought this for the house. I have two cats and a husband who’s into Warhammer so you know there are sprew bits and cat hair everywhere and this thing handles it like a champ! I was also super impressed by the ease with which I can switch from floor to handheld attachments. I’m able to switch back and forth quick, fast and in a hurry. Bonus points that it’s lightweight. The window on the floor attachment gives me a clear view of the roller brush. The cord is a tad short, so I went ahead a bought a small extension cord to go with it, but other than that, I’m very impressed! I will never buy another vacuum from anyone else other than Shark again.

Pros:
  • Intelligent auto-adjusting suction and brushroll
  • DuoClean system excels on hard floors and grout
  • Self-cleaning brushroll is maintenance-friendly
  • Odor-neutralizing filter keeps air fresh
Cons:
  • Higher price point
  • Corded, though the cord is long

Customer Reviews

This vacuum is a game-changer. The DuoClean system gets dirt out of my tile grout that I didn’t even know was there. I love that it automatically senses the floor type—I just push it and it does the rest. It’s surprisingly light for how powerful it is. The self-cleaning brushroll is a lifesaver with two dogs. Best vacuum I’ve ever owned for hard surfaces.

— Verified Purchase

I was skeptical about the “smart” features, but they actually work. On my tile, it revs up and the two rollers really agitate the dirt. It’s much more effective than my old single-roller vacuum. The odor-neutralizing filter is a nice bonus—my house smells cleaner after I vacuum. It’s corded, which I prefer for constant power, and it’s still easy to maneuver.

Customer Reviews

The vacuum is just like the other Sharks I have had. Great suction, filtration and ease of use. I love the hand roller tool, it works great on my cat trees! Also the other tools work well. The only downfall is the cord is much shorter than my last Shark. My last Shark is still working, but it has been used a lot. Excellent quality, I have no doubt it will last for years.

— Amazon Customer

It works great! It’s easy to use and easy to clean. I like that it swivels and gets to places my old vacuum couldn’t. The lift away feature allows easy cleaning of couches, and it gets the tight spots with the attachments. It’s great at picking up dog hair. I never realized my previous vacuum left so much dirt! There is less dust thanks to the HEPA filter. That was a must have.

Customer Reviews

Love SHARK products! I bought another Shark Mop/Vac, the VM252, and loved it. The light is super bright, to make it easier to see stuff on the floor. I ordered this one as well. It has the brightest blue light…it shows up EVERY TINY SPECK OF DIRT, DUST. We have long hair, and cats. I’m glad I got this one, too! Both are excellent! They both have great suction (we also have 9 birds, so lots of feathers and seeds on the floor). I buy the pads by the box so I always have them on hand.

— Amazon Customer

One of my favorite household purchases to date! We are a busy family with 4 kids and multiple dogs (who like to get muddy), and this thing keeps up! It is very durable! We have primarily LVP flooring. I can use this without vacuuming before, and the pads still manage to collect all the dust and hair and dirt. It has great battery life and is lightweight and so easy to use. Does not take long to charge at all! I have used different mopping floor cleaners if I run out, but the Shark is best and leaves my house smelling great. It is great value for the money, and I have purchased this for gifts and always recommend.

9. Shark SD201 Steam Pickup 3-in-1 Steam Mop Cleaner

Shark SD201 3-in-1 Steam Mop Cleaner: Lightweight, Debris Pickup, Deep Scrubbing, Steam Sanitizing for Sealed Hard Floors

The SD201 is a steam mop with a difference—it actually picks up debris as it steams. This 3-in-1 tool vacuums, deep scrubs, and steam sanitizes in one pass, so you don’t need to pre-sweep. The motorized brushroll combined with powerful steam breaks down stuck-on messes on tile. It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver, and the narrow head gets under furniture well. For a hands-on, deep-cleaning steam solution, this is a standout.

✓ 3-in-1: vacuums, scrubs, and steam sanitizes
✓ Picks up wet, dry, and stuck-on debris
✓ Motorized brushroll for deep scrubbing
✓ Lightweight and easy to handle
✓ No need to pre-sweep

Why We Recommend It

This is the best Shark for when your tile floors need a serious deep clean. The ability to vacuum and steam simultaneously saves a ton of time and effort. The scrubbing power is impressive, tackling baked-on messes that a regular mop would struggle with. It’s a workhorse for periodic deep cleaning sessions.

Best For

Homes with sealed tile floors that have seen better days, kitchens with sticky spills, and anyone who wants to skip the pre-sweeping step.

Pros and Cons

Pros:
  • Vacuums and steam cleans simultaneously
  • Excellent scrubbing power for tough stains
  • Lightweight and easy to push
  • Narrow head fits under furniture
Cons:
  • Water tank is smaller, may need refills for large areas
  • Not ideal for very narrow grout lines

Customer Reviews

Love that it steams and picks up what the vacuum missed. It heats up quickly, and is just so easy to maneuver and lightweight. I spray ahead of myself with my YL Thieves cleaner, to make everything come up quicker (can you say dog slobber and prints?) The head is narrower than many which I didn’t think I’d like, but makes it nice for getting under chairs, etc. Super easy to clean up after use. It doesn’t leave streaks behind and makes me think the floor is more sanitary.

— Amazon Customer

I was skeptical of how good this would work, because I bought the Bissell equivalent a couple years ago and it was an absolute disaster. This however did an amazing job, was super simple to use and virtually no assembly required. The steam got scum off my hard wood floors I hadn’t mopped in months up in addition to sucking up debris. I like not having to use floor cleaner either and just steam. 10/10 recommend. It is my depression assistant. When i get down and out the idea of sweeping and mopping the floors is daunting. Not anymore!!

Customer Reviews

My house has ALL wood, bamboo and tile floors. I’ve said over the years that I wanted a maid to come in and just do the floors. A pregnancy injury left me in pain most of the time and floors are really hard for me. I started with a robot vacuum that I love. Next I wanted an electric mop. After reading all the reviews, the corded plug in Shark Hydrovac is what I bought. My floors have never been cleaner. I used the vacuum over the course of two days and about 10 hours for an initial clean. The bamboo floor was so easy to clean. The kitchen tile was super easy too. After it was done, I realized there were areas of built up dirt on the unsealed areas I had not been getting clean. I decided to go back and clean this area by hand with a scrub brush to get it where I wanted. After that the floors have been a snap to keep clean. I’ve put in about 20 hours with the vacuum so far and have had zero problems. Some reviews say you can’t vacuum and mop together. I didn’t even try that. I vacuum with the robot first, then mop. It is super easy to clean. The clean tank rinses right out with the push of a button. The dirty tank is the same way. All these parts are removable and replaceable with one hand. I find it easy to use, easy to empty the dirty tank and easy to refill the clean tank. The mop has a self clean feature that works pretty well, but I found that it is easy enough to clean it the way I described above and decided that is rather care for it myself. I’ve had zero issues with mold or a moldy smell. My floors are cleaner than they have been in years and are easy to maintain after the initial clean I have them. Along with the robot vacuum, this mop is the best investment I’ve made in household cleaning tools, ever.

— Amazon Customer

This is the corded version. Not sure why people are reviewing the cordless version on this page. It shuts off when the tank needs to be emptied. Empty the tank and it magically works again. The cleaner it comes with sucks. I don’t recommend it. I use a tablespoon of Mr. Clean with few drops of bleach. and it’s been great. I can do my entire kitchen, living and dining area with one solution mixture. I have used it on my Berber carpet, and it works very well. I just omit the bleach if I use it on the carpet. It takes less than half the time of sweeping/vacuuming and mopping. I have engineered laminate flooring, and the water dries much quicker than it did when I used a mop. I highly recommend this but I also recommend you read the instructions that come with it. The power cord is pretty long. Long enough for me to NOT have to unplug it and find another outlet to plug it in. The cleaning feature is really easy to use. This is also very lightweight and self propelling so you don’t have to be Hercules to use it. Great quality for the price.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Shark Vacuum For Tile Floors

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing a Shark vacuum for tile, the first decision is type. Do you need a stick vacuum for quick jobs, an upright for whole-home cleaning, or a steam mop for sanitizing? Suction power is critical—look for models with strong, consistent suction to pull debris from grout lines. Maneuverability matters because tile areas often have furniture and fixtures. Swivel steering and a lightweight design are huge pluses. For grout cleaning, consider features like LED headlights to see dirt and a motorized brushroll to agigate it. If allergies are a concern, a HEPA filter is essential. Finally, think about corded vs. cordless. Cordless offers freedom but limited runtime; corded provides unlimited power but requires an outlet.

Budget Planning

Shark vacuums for tile range from under $150 for basic stick models to over $300 for advanced steam mops and uprights. Set a budget based on your needs. For a simple, effective cordless stick for daily maintenance, budget around $200-$300. For a versatile upright with Lift-Away and HEPA filtration, expect $250-$350. For a dedicated steam mop with scrubbing power, budget $150-$250. Remember to factor in ongoing costs like replacement pads for VACMOP models or steam mop pads.

Final Thoughts

Shark offers a vacuum or mop for every type of tile floor and cleaning need. The best overall pick is the Shark IX141 for its brilliant combination of cordless convenience, powerful suction, and illuminating headlights. For a deep, chemical-free sanitize, the S8001 steam mop is unmatched. For the best value, you can’t beat the HV301 Rocket’s power-to-price ratio. Ultimately, the right choice depends on your specific tile situation, home layout, and whether you prioritize suction, steam, or convenience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I use a Shark vacuum with a beater bar on tile floors?

A: Yes, but with caution. Most Shark vacuums have a brushroll shut-off feature for bare floors. Always turn off the brushroll when cleaning smooth tile to avoid scattering debris and to protect the floor’s finish. The brushroll can still agitate dirt in grout lines if used carefully, but for daily cleaning, suction-only mode is often best.

Q: Do Shark steam mops damage grout?

A: No, when used correctly. Shark steam mops use dry steam that sanitizes without excessive moisture. However, if your grout is old, cracked, or unsealed, steam could penetrate and cause damage. Always test on an inconspicuous area first and ensure your grout is in good condition and properly sealed.

Q: How often should I clean my Shark vacuum’s filters?

A: For optimal performance, rinse the reusable filters with cold water every 1-2 months under normal use. Allow them to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. If you have pets or allergies, you may need to clean them more frequently. Never put filters in the dishwasher or washing machine.

Q: Which Shark vacuum is best for large tile floors?

A>For large areas, a corded model with a long cord and large dust cup is ideal. The Shark NV360 Navigator Lift-Away is excellent because its Lift-Away pod lets you clean under furniture without moving it, and the large dust cup means fewer emptying stops. The Shark HV322 Rocket Pet Plus also has a long cord and XL dust cup for a corded stick option.

Q: Can I use Shark VACMOP pads on other Shark products?

A: No. The disposable pads for the VACMOP Reveal (VM401) are specifically designed with a built-in dirt chamber that locks in debris. They are not compatible with other Shark mops or vacuums. Using them elsewhere would not provide the intended cleaning or containment function.
