Customer Review: The accessory tools are a real bonus with this vacuum. This has great suction and is so easy to use. It doesn’t stand alone but that’s not a big deal for me. I highly recommend this is you need a good solution to a vacuum without having to lug around a bigger canister vacuum. It stores easily using minimal space. This is a great price for this handy vacuum. I just had a knee replacement and this vacuum is so easy for me to use and still be able to keep my carpets and hardwood floors looking good.

Customer Review: I have lots of vacuums. I have cordless sticks, traditional sweepers and the robot vacuums that run when I’m not around. I have two dogs, so I feel like I need to clean the floors constantly. I found that the cordless sweepers are convenient, but not very powerful. I wanted a light vacuum with strong suction and I knew that a battery wouldn’t work…that’s why I got the corded version. Wow. It’s so powerful. It really picks up the dirt and I am very happy with how well it cleans my carpets. The cord is long enough that I can move around easily. It’s not very noisy and I really enjoy it. It was super easy to put together and although I saw some negative reviews about storage, I haven’t had any issues with just leaning it up against a wall. It was a great buy and I am very happy with the quality.

A week before I bought this one, I bought another Shark Mop/Vac, the VM252, as I was putting my old one in my shed for easier clean up there, and wanted a new one for the house. It came and I loved it! The light is super bright, to make it easier to see stuff on the floor. Loved it so much, I ordered a 2nd one, or rather my husband ordered it. We didn’t realize it wasn’t the same model, but when it came (this one), I was totally happy! It has the brightest blue light…I “hate” it (lol…not really, but…) it shows up EVERY TINY SPECK OF DIRT, DUST, what-have-you, that you have always missed (???). So it’s going in my bathroom where it’s really needed! We have long hair, and cats. I’m glad I got this one, too! Both are excellent! I highly recommend them! They both have great suction (we also have 9 birds, so lots of feathers and seeds on the floor). I buy the pads by the box so I always have them on hand.

Customer Review: The media could not be loaded. One of my favorite household purchases to date! We are a busy family with 4 kids and multiple dogs (who like to get muddy), and this thing keeps up! It is very durable! We have primarily LVP flooring throughout our home. I can use this without vacuuming before, and the pads still manage to collect all the dust and hair and dirt. It has great battery life and is lightweight and so easy to use. Does not take long to charge at all! I have used different mopping floor cleaners if I run out, but the Shark is best and leaves my house smelling great. Customer Review: This is a great vacuum. The battery lasts a long time, even when it’s on high power.Has really good section and does great on carpets. I find it very convenient that you can detach a portion of the of the vacuum, like a dust buster, but it actually works. I also really like that you can just stand it up wherever, you don’t have to lean it on something. The attachments are really good. The edging tool is extra long, so you can get into deep crevices, great for radiators. Last thing, the heaviest parts of the vacuum, like the battery, are lower on the machine than most battery powered vacuums, so it’s easier on the shoulders and arms.

Customer Review: I love this vacuum. This is my second one. It’s perfect, light weight, vacuums well, love the lights, filter and that it has a hand held option. Light on my wrists, which is important to me and the reason I don’t have Dyson. Lasts about 40 min which is enough to vacuum my 1400sq home. Easy charge while it’s standing and not in use at the station that is plugged in to the outlet. It’s almost perfect because the vacuum lasts for about a year. I wish they would have a version that has longer life.

Customer Review: My house has ALL wood, bamboo and tile floors. I’ve said over the years that I wanted a maid to come in and just do the floors. A pregnancy injury left me in pain most of the time and floors are really hard for me. I started with a robot vacuume that I love love love. Next I wanted an electric mop. After reading all the reviews, the corded plug in Shark Hydrovac is what I bought. I am reading poor reviews here under this product, but they continually mention the weak battery. My review is for the corded plug in vacuume not a cordless model. My floors have never been cleaner. I used the vacuume over the course of two days and about 10 hours for an initial clean. The bamboo floor is only six years old and sealed. That floor was so easy to clean, although I still cleaned it three times over since it hasn’t been cleaned in over six months. The kitchen tile was super easy too, although it doesn’t reach the grout, my daughter is young and took on the challenge to clean the grout with a nifty grout brush I found. The hard part to clean is the 30 year old wood floors with areas where the seal is worn off. We bought the house from someone who’s dogs had scratched the floors and wore off the finish in high traffic areas. This was the hard part to clean the first time. I did the same as with the bamboo and cleaned it the times over. After it was done, I realized there were areas of built up dirt on the unsealed areas I had not been getting clean. I decided to go back and clean this area by hand with a scrub brush to get it where I wanted. After that the floors have been a snap to keep clean. I’ve put in about 20 hours with the vacuume so far and have had zero problems. Some reviews say you can’t vacuume and mop together. I didn’t even try that. I vacuume with the robot first, then mop. I don’t want to risk scratching the floor with a gritty mop. It is super easy to clean. The clean tank chines right out with the push of a button. The dirty tank is the same way. I dump it in the sink, rinse it and either use it again or put it on a towel to drain and dry. There is a sponge on the filter that I rinse and squeeze and put on the towel to dry. The beater bar comes out easily. I rinse under the faucet in the kitchen sink and squeeze by grabbing the bar and turning it around with the other hand. Again, I either put it back on the mop to keep cleaning or leave it on its end to dry on the towel. The vacuume without the beater bar and without the dirty tank, has a very short tube between the two that cleans easily with a bottle brush that is not included, but I already own it. All these parts are removable and replaceable with one hand. I find it easy to use, easy to empty the dirty tank and easy to refill the clean tank. The mop has a self clean feature that works pretty well, but I found that it is easy enough to clean it the way I described above and decided that is rather care for it myself and allow the parts to all dry completely. I’ve had zero issues with mold or a moldy smell. My floors are cleaner than they have been in years and are easy to maintain after the initial clean I have them. Note, I have a corgi dog that sheds all year. The robot vacuume and the Shark mop have changed my life. I don’t leave the house covered in fur anymore. Once a week I vacuume and mop, or one other day in between if we are all off work for holidays and tracking more dust and dirt. Everyone in the house is impressed with his easily the floor is kept in a very clean and neat state. Along with the robot vacuume, this mop is the best investment I’ve made in houseolt cleaning tools,ever.

Customer Review: This is the corded version. Not sure why people are reviewing the cordless version on this page.It shuts off when the tank needs to be emptied. Empty the tank and it magically works again.The cleaner it comes with sucks. I don’t recommend it. I use a tablespoon of Mr. Clean with few drops of bleach. and it’s been great. I can do my entire kitchen, living and dining area with one solution mixture. I have used it on my Berber carpet, and it works very well. I just omit the bleach if I use it on the carpet.It takes less than half the time of sweeping/vacuuming and mopping. I have engineered laminate flooring, and the water dries much quicker than it did when I used a mop.I highly recommend this but I also recommend you read the instructions that come with it. The power cord is pretty long. Long enough for me to NOT have to unplug it and find another outlet to plug it in.The cleaning feature is really easy to use. Empty the discard tank. Put it back. Put the machine on it’s base. Turn it on. Let it do it’s thing. It will shut itself off. Empty discard tank again and rinse it out really well. I let mine dry for about an hour before putting it back just so I don’t get that musky smell that floor cleaners tend to get.This is also very lightweight and self propelling so you don’t have to be Hercules to use it.Great quality for the price.

I saw a lot of reviews saying it left swirly dirt marks but I think it’s honestly just getting old dirt up that I never could before, so it’s worth it to use this a couple of times for a deep clean, and then just use for maintenance. I’m excited to go over all my floors a few times with this and get them nice and clean. I rent and the floors have really needed a deep clean for a while now. It doesn’t really get corners or nooks/tight spaces very well, but I have baseboards I need to clean anyway so it’s not a big deal for me to get the corners on my own. I have a small place but the water reservoir held enough for me to go over my kitchen and bathroom once, and that was me going pretty slow and keeping the pads in one spot for a while to really scrub. I vacuumed first but it did catch some hair and things that the vacuum missed which was nice. I can easily wash the pads by hand which I prefer rather than putting them in the washing machine. Overall this is a great product for someone that has a small place and no room for a bucket to mop regularly. I’d probably use it if I had a larger house as well but the reservoir might have to be refilled pretty often on your first few cleans. It’s also probably not the hottest steamer out there, I have a handheld one that I think gets a bit hotter. This product is designed for emergency shut off so expect it to turn off if you try to maneuver it into a small space. Personally, it doesn’t bother me because I’d rather it have the safety features and heat control. I don’t think this product necessarily saves more time than using a scrub mop and some elbow grease for a “deep” clean, as you will probably have to go over your floor a few times with it. What I do appreciate about it however is it eliminates the hard work of scrubbing, which gets old fast. Just keep in mind it doesn’t scrub harder than you probably can by hand. I can definitely scrub harder by hand.

If you’re looking for something that tackles both wood and tile floors with ease, this mop delivers on all fronts. There are three settings. Highest is for tile or VTL floors, lowest and medium can be used on wood floors.First off, it does well on tile floors. The rotating pads combined with steam power lift stuck-on grime effortlessly. It will not scrub hard enough to clean your grout lines. I have yet to find a machine that does both. The steam function and scrub feature allow you to sanitized without excess moisture.But where it really surprised me was on wood floors. I was initially hesitant to use steam on my hardwood floors, but figured I would just try it out. I went straight for the floors in front of our patio door – a high traffic area. Briefly – I have old parquet square tile wood floors that desperately need to be refinished, but the thought of moving furniture out and moving it back in is far from appealing. Needless to say I have water stains and buildup that I can’t seem to get off. This steam and scrub did it! I could not believe it. I have used other steamers on my wood floors, but this one did the trick and steaming and scrubbing essentially buffed my floors.The pads are reusable (they come with two sets) and easy to wash. I just cleaned the floors a day ago so I thought they weren’t too dirty but when I emptied the used dirty water tank I was shocked. It got up so much dirt. My tile floors look great. It did a quick self clean & I emptied the tanks & now it’s charging. Only used about 25% of the battery for a large area. I went over every tile several times because it started looking so good & it gets the floor almost dry but dried quickly.This machine didn’t scare the dog, wasn’t heavy & it’s easy to use. Customer Review: My Usage and Overall Comments:==============================Have had the Bot for 2-3 weeks now.Mostly used on 2nd floor (bedrooms/bathrooms/Loft area) which is 90% carpet. I mapped this floor only.Occasionally used on 1st floor, which is about 50% carpet. (Not mapped).Overall it seems to do a pretty good job, keeping in mind these Bot Vacs are not meant for DEEP cleaning carpets.Much quieter than my old Neato Botvac80!Cleans my 2nd floor on a single charge with BOOST cleaning, and recharging takes about 3 hours.Overall I feel it’s a good Robot Vac, but wouldn’t spend more than $300 for it.Floor Mapping Review:==============================- My 2nd floor is about 1,000sq ft and it takes about 10-12 mins to map it.- It’s not the greatest at mapping. It will sometimes take 2-3 “Explore” runs for it to get it right because itoccasionally misses entire wall sections.- Adding/Changing/Removing Room Labels and No-Go Zones on the app is pretty easy.If you’re older, it’s easier to do it on a Tablet vs the phone.- I noticed that once it completes the entire cleaning run on the 2nd floor, it seems like it internally compares the resultswith the full map(??), and if it detects area’s that it missed it will go back to them to clean them.When it does do that, it doesn’t always clean them in the most efficient order, often running from one end of thehouse to the other to address these areas. I have also seen this behavior when tasked with cleaning a specific room.It’s will sometimes bounce around in the room getting the spots it feels it missed.- There have been times where I’ve seen it do several clockwise/counter-clockwise spins in the same spot as if it’s tryingto decide where to go next. Sometimes these crazy spins can last 30-40 seconds.- So far no problems with it finding the Base Unit and Docking with it.- Mapping is only required if you need to specify No-Go Zones or want the ability to vac a specific room(s) so you CANdo like in my case, map the most commonly vacuumed floor (ie: 2nd floor) then manually initiate a cleaning for the 1st floor.(see more about mapping in my “CONS” section).Detailed Review:==============================PROS:- It’s fairly quiet. You can actually have a conversation standing next to it as it’s cleaning.- Their SHARK CLEAN app is easy to use. Again, if you are older using it on a Tablet (larger screen0 will be a better experience.- The self-vacuuming / evacuation unit works well, typically removing 95% of the bot vac’s contents.- So far have not had any issues with it getting stuck in a corner, going over room thresholds/transitions, etc.- Bump avoidance it pretty good as long as objects are high enough for the Lidar Sensor to see it.- No issues transitioning between carpet and hardwood/tile surfaces.- Although it may not take the most efficient paths on occasion, and sometimes re-cleans a section(s) 2-3 times during it’s total run,it does appear to do a very through clean, cleaning all the places that it possibly can reach.- It does well respecting No-Go Zones.- Ledge detection works well also, but the fall-off is only detected after about 25% of the bot is hanging over the edge – depending on it’s speed.It can be nerve wracking to watch near stairs!!- The Evacuate and Resume feature is nice to have. (After every 30 mins of cleaning, it will return to the Dock to empty its dust bin thenreturn to clean where it left off.- The Do Not Disturb Schedule works well.- The No-Go Zones work well.- Although I have not had a need for it as of yet, I’m confident the Recharge and Resume feature will work fine.FYI:- Initial WiFi Setup: I did have an issue trying to pair the Bot with my phone. I think after I rebooted my phone it finally worked.- Annoying – if you remove the Bot’s dust bin while it’s ON, it will complain stating it’s dust bin needs to be replaced.- The foam roll filter in the Docking station gets VERY dirty real fast and needs to be cleaned every 2-3 runs.It’s easy to clean, just tap over a garbage can to get the bulk off, then slide off the foam roll from it’s base and rinse in a sink.Let dry completely before returning to docking station.- The Evacuation system will engage EVERY TIME you return the Bot to the dock. So if you pull the Bot off just to check the roller, as soon as youre-dock it, the evacuation system will turn on.- The Evacuation system is as loud as a typical upright vacuum, so keep that in mind when deciding on a location for it!!!- I have not tried the SCHEDULED Cleaning at all. I personally prefer to manually initiate when/where I want it to clean.CONS:- I was not able to Register the Bot via the app – kept saying “Something went wrong”. Had to do it online.- The app could use some improvements/updating, like showing the current location of the BOT and what it’s cleaned so far as it’s running,estimated time of completion, etc.- Deleting your map when you want to do a “Re-explore” (ie: Re-Map) can take a minute or two to complete.- “Matrix” cleaning can only be performed on one room at a time. So if you have 3 kids bedrooms you want to Matrix clean you have to select one,do the cleaning, then send it out again to do the Matrix cleaning on the 2nd bedroom, etc.You might be able to work around this by setting up 3 Scheduled cleanings(??), one for each room.- The Mapping system could be MUCH better. I can understand it not mapping a shoe on the floor, but missing an entire 10-FOOT WALL SECTION???Would be nice to have Multi-Floor/Level mapping also.- I’ve run into an occasional issue where after doing a manual cleaning (via press of the CLEAN button) on the 1st floor (not mapped),then using the app to vac a specific room on the 2nd floor (mapped), it will clean the room, but then starts re-cleaning the last 3-foot sectionover-and-over until I manually stop it. Others also have reported odd issues jumping between “Mapped” cleaning and “non-Mapped” cleaning areas.The fix for me was to delete my map and have the bot do a re-explore to build it again (and hope it does it correctly on the 1st pass).If this issue continues, I’m toying with the idea of not doing any mapping at all and just letting the Bot figure it out as it goes regardless of the floor it’s on.I’ll loose the No-Go Zones and Specific Room Clean functions and it will likely take longer to run,but it might be worth it until the Mapping Logic is improved.CUSTOMER SUPPORT:==============================I did reach out to them when I had the “re-cleaning the same 3-foot section” issue after bouncing between a Mapped and Non-Mapped floor.This was during Black Friday weekend, and I only waited 5-10 minutes to speak with someone. They were OK, some easier to understand than others.I was eventually connected with one of their Technical Support staff and had to re-explain the issue. He asked if I could run the cleaning sessionagain (I was fine with that) and he wanted to video record the Bot in action, so he sent me a link for the video connection. I was unable to getthat working (Android phone issue??). He asked me to re-explain the issue to him again, and we got into a brief disagreement about how the MATRIX CLEANfunction worked – he claimed that was only for “Spot cleaning”, which I told him was NOT true.He finally suggested I delete my floor map and re-run another mapping session then try to replicate the problem again.I was assigned a Ticket# to reference when I called them back with my findings.After re-doing the mapping, I haven’t been able to replicate the problem yet, and I’m leaning towards assuming the Bot works best with Mapped areas only,and jumping between Mapped/Non-Mapped floors is not 100% supported (???)

Customer Review: I’m no stranger to smart vacs – I have 4 robovacs, two of them self-emptying, mapping robots. My other self-emptying one is a Roomba i3+ (which by now is 3 or 4 year-old tech), so I naturally am comparing this Shark to that one. There’s a lot to compare and report on, but I’ll just quickly touch on some categories:- General cleaning powerThe Shark seems to be right up there with the Roomba. Suction power and brushing is very similar (even though the Shark has only one brush to the Roombas two), with the Shark having a minor edge in suction power.- MappingThe Shark seemed to map my house much faster than the Roomba. It apparently uses its lidar to do so, while the older Roomba had to physically travel over the floor area to include it in the map. The Shark map appears a bit more accurate than the Roomba’s.- Cleaning styleThe Shark, like the Roomba, cleans in neat parallel rows, and they both do it well. But the Shark has the advantage of Matrix Cleaning, which covers the area twice – in two directions – and that’s a great option. And I also like the spot cleaning option, as well as the ability to set keep-away zones with the Shark.- FlexibilityBoth machines allow the user to direct them to clean certain specified rooms via their apps, and both do it well. The Shark seems to go to rooms faster, while the Roomba has to think about it a lot before proceeding. Both apps are intuitive and work well.- Noise levelsSound levels are about the same to my ears, although they sound different. The Roomba has a sucking whine, while the Shark has a slightly rattling sound…………………….Some negatives for the Shark:Maintenance – The Shark uses a bagless sytem, whereas my Roomba uses a tidy throwaway bag. While bagless may seem like an advantage, it requires you to clean the dust collection container instead of just pulling out the bag and tossing it. The bag also serves as a filter, meaning that the Shark has to have multiple internal filters (3 in fact), which have to be periodically cleaned or replaced.Object Avoidance -While it doesn’t bang into walls and objects as much as some vacs, it can be too cautious and stop 3-4″ from baseboards, leaving an uncleaned zone along walls. Looks like I’ll have to pull out the old upright vac every so often and vacuum the perimeters.Profile – Its lidar module on top extends higher than on many vacs, making it tend to get stuck on low clearance furniture. It makes a very good effort to avoid these situations, though, so it’s not a major issue.Dock – While it’s a lower-profile dock than some vacs, it’s also wider, so it takes up more wall area. Leaving the recommended amount of free space on either side is hard to do, so placement might be challenging………………………..All in all, this Shark self-emptying smart vac is a great tool. At full price it might seem a little pricey, but it’s on sale from time to time, and might be worth waiting for a good price. In today’s smart vac world it’s a solid contender, and it earns all 5 stars from me in spite of some minor shortcomings………………………..*Update* – I’ve used the Shark for a month now, and I’m very happy with it. It seems to avoid getting stuck better than all my other vacs, and it has no trouble finding its dock and docking itself like some vacs. I can send it to rooms clear across the house and it just obediently goes there and does its job, then comes back.Matrix clean is awesome. Cleaning our carpet in one direction and then coming back in the other direction is genius. What it doesn’t get going north-south it gets in the east-west direction. It doesn’t seem to allow me to select more than one room at a time for matrix, but I can deal with that.I’ve been a Roomba fan for years, but this Shark is changing my mind!

Customer Review: We have had the Shark Navigator for so years or so. It is still running fine but we moved it upstairs to not have to be carrying one u and down to clean. The new one is better than the basic model we had. It has unbelievable suction and clean wonderfully. It is a bit harder to move and is a bit noisier. Perhaps because it is so new and needs to break in. I think the noise is from the self cleaning on the roller. However with two dogs and long haired women it is worth it. Highly recommend. I have had Dyson, Kirby, Electrolux and Sears over the years and NONE of them come close.

Customer Review: WOW!! I had a Shark Navigator Lift-a-way, and after 15 years of faithful service, the hose tore and duct tape didnt work. After reading the reviews here on Amazon, I tried to find it in a store. But NONE. I pulled the trigger and ordered it earlier this week. Today, it came and I put it together. My carpet was ready for a good vacuuming. This Shark is AMAZING. SUPER STRONG SUCTION. I had to back the suction off a bit (easy to access, just like the old Shark. PERFECT! I used it on my carpeted steps. Perfect! The attachment for steps is not motorized and actually does a better job than the old Shark. (It had a motorized attachment not unlike the full-sized carpet sweeper) Now I wont hate doing steps!!! I used it on my smooth kitchen floor….works great. GREAT VACUUM!! The price is right. Everything I saw at Kohls, Walmart, were either way low-quality or too high of price. Glad to be able to post a positive review on this. I was worried to never find another vacuum as good as my old Shark. Hope this helps you make a decision. 🙂
