Customer Review: WOW!! I had a Shark Navigator Lift-a-way, and after 15 years of faithful service, the hose tore and duct tape didnt work. After reading the reviews here on Amazon, I tried to find it in a store. But NONE. I pulled the trigger and ordered it earlier this week. Today, it came and I put it together. My carpet was ready for a good vacuuming. This Shark is AMAZING. SUPER STRONG SUCTION. I had to back the suction off a bit (easy to access, just like the old Shark. PERFECT! I used it on my carpeted steps. Perfect! The attachment for steps is not motorized and actually does a better job than the old Shark. (It had a motorized attachment not unlike the full-sized carpet sweeper) Now I wont hate doing steps!!! I used it on my smooth kitchen floor….works great. GREAT VACUUM!! The price is right. Everything I saw at Kohls, Walmart, were either way low-quality or too high of price. Glad to be able to post a positive review on this. I’ve managed to take out everything from an old Kirby to a new Dyson & everything in between. Even the ones designed for pet hair didn’t last long. Then I got a shark navigator. It was true love! It was like having a Catholic priest come in on a regular basis to perform an exorcism on my carpets. For years, me & my Shark performed miracles in my home, proclaiming from my mountain top… THIS HOUSE IS CLEAN! Then we moved. I allowed a stranger to take my beloved Shark and haul it 2600 miles. By the time it arrived, it was too late. I founded it shoved behind a pile of boxes, hidden by the movers until after they left. It was literally in pieces, it’s hoses and cords shredded and pulled from thier sockets. The handle snapped off at the neck, there was no chance of resurrection. I couldn’t imagine what kind of torture my poor loyal side kick had endured, and was in doubt I would ever know such admiration for a household appliance again.I started the quest for a new vacuum, of course I knew it would be impossible to find such perfection again. Each year the new models get cheaper in parts while more expensive in price. After days of exhaustive searching… thinking perhaps I could find a remanufactured version of my old pal, I gave up. It was time to admit I had to buy something different. The pup shredded anything he found tempting that had already been unpacked, including packing material. Little Styrofoam pieces and bits of a silk flower arrangement littered a bedroom floor. A calendar lying on top of a box would no longer adorn our wall. And fluffy bits of golden retriever dotted the carpet where he had rolled and played during his destructive frolic. I cleaned up what i could by hand and then instinctively reached in the closet for my Shark.It was not my dear, loyal soldier that heeded my call for assistance. No, there was a new soldier at the ready and it was time to see if it could handle the job. I plugged it in, and turned it on.The Shark came to life, illuminated with the power surging through it. With a light touch, the new machine moved as though floating over the floor, and followed my directions as though reading my mind. Customer Review: This is my third Shark. The last one I had was a Navigator. Okay for a small pet-free family, but horrible for a house with a big, furry dog. I used this one today for the first time, and it was amazing! I got it for $200, but I would’ve definitely paid full price. The large canister enabled me to vacuum three rooms before I needed to empty it. Keep in mind, these rooms hadn’t been vacuumed in about three days, and I had been using the lackluster Navigator previously. The dog hair tumbleweeds were excessive. The suction on this thing is awesome, even when using the attachments, and the roller thing didn’t immediately fill with hair like a traditional brush roller. This is hands-down the best vacuum I’ve ever used, and I hope it lives up to the first-day hype.

Customer Review: I just purchased this vacuum and am really impressed with it after the first use. It was really easy to put together. The instructions included are detailed with pictures. It’s easy to transition to handheld. There’s no extra hose you have to lug around or store. It’s lightweight so moving it up and down my three-story townhouse is easy. It’s also very maneuverable getting around furniture and other items. The suction on this vacuum is amazing. It pulled out so much dirt from my rugs that I had no idea my old vacuum missed. I have a German Shepherd and two long haired cats who all shed a lot. My old vacuum could never get all the fur. I also haven’t had an issue with hair/fur getting stuck in the brushes. This thing pulls up everything. I’m just amazed at how much it picks up. Another feature I love is you can adjust the suction. I have different length rugs and I can lower the suction on the longer length rugs so the vacuum will actually move. There’s also a separate carpet and floor setting. Overall I’m really happy with my purchase so far. I will be able to keep my floors much cleaner.As you can see from the picture this was from an area rug. Also the other tools work well.The only downfall is the cord is much shorter than my last Shark.My last Shark is still working, but it has been used a lot.Excellent quality, I have no doubt it will last for years.I would buy this again.Only my 3rd Shark because they last while getting put through the test at our house.Its been 30 years of using them.This one is powerful and picks up all the dirt and pet hair. Customer Review: It works great! It’s easy to use and easy to clean. I like that it swivels and gets to places my old vacuum couldn’t. The lift away feature allows easy cleaning of couches, and it gets the tight spots with the attachments. It’s great at picking up dog hair. I never realized my previous vacuum left so much dirt! There is less dust thanks to the HEPA filter. That was a must have.

Customer Review: This vacuum works really well! It’s also very easy to empty the dust bin on it. The only thing I don’t like is the hose doesn’t completely disconnect from the top part of handle, making it hard to get into smaller places, even with an attachment connected. Otherwise it’s got great suction and cleans really well.

Customer Review: Received my Shark Performance Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum (UV2500) today. As silly as it sounds to be excited over a vacuum, indeed I was! I vacuumed the whole house TWICE. I’m so pleased with the weight, maneuverability and suction of this vacuum. I have 2 large dogs who shed like crazy. With my old machine, I could vacuum carpets three times and the canister would still be full. On my second pass with the Shark, there was barely anything in the canister. There are three settings; hard floors, short pile carpet and high pile carpet. I did all carpets on the short pile setting, and it worked great! I’m NOT a fan of high priced Dyson. This Shark wasn’t cheap, but it was a competitive price and worth the money. The real test will be to see how long it lasts…

Thankfully, the included manual is great and if you’re not a reader, all the knobs and buttons are labelled and their placement makes sense, so you’ll figure it out eventually. Our apartment is mostly carpet and we have 2 cats. My spouse recently got diagnosed with asthma, so we upgraded our vacuum to try to get more of the hair and dander. This vacuum is incredible at picking up everything! The carpet looks new after and the results in the dust bin are amazing.This is a fairly heavy vacuum, so if you have an extremely large home or limited mobility, you may find your arm gets tired. It does roll really smoothly and you have a lot of control with turns/curves. At first I thought the light in front of the swivel head was a gimmick, but I was surprised with how useful it is. I was able to see a hidden paperclip in the carpet before running it over. Emptying the bin is an easy lever that also closes and re-latches the bin’s lid without having to touch the dusty parts. Hair doesn’t get stuck in the bin like other vacuums, it just falls right out. I appreciate this vacuum and it’s a great upgrade.I have heard Shark products are not the longest lasting, but we’ve been using this regularly for almost 6 months now with no issues. Still great performance and I’d really recommend this to carpeted households with furry friends.

Customer Review: This is an excellent vacuum! Trust me, I looked at tons of vacuums and read so many reviews before I settled on this one. And I was still so worried… My last vacuum ended up being a dud after great reviews – it was so heavy, hard to push, had poor suction, and just never picked up well. So I feared this one would end up the same… but it’s not! This vacuum is a dream – it’s lightweight, super easy to push, has fabulous suction, picks up dirt really well, does a great job on both cat and dog hair, is super easy to empty, the filters are easy to clean, and a nice surprise, it’s pretty quiet too – it doesn’t freak the animals out when we’re vacuuming. I definitely recommend this vacuum!

Customer Review: This is my third Shark vacuum cleaner in 18 years, so I can attest that they last. My last one was the Shark DuoClean lift-away that lasted 7 years. Last week it decided to die and thankfully Amazon can ship it faster than Shark can. I have three dogs and the only vacuum cleaner that I trust is the Shark. Tonight, I put it to the test. I found pros & cons between these two vacuum cleaners. My biggest pro on this one is self-cleaning brush roller. I have long hair and I HATED having to cut, pull, and tug to get my hair out of the old brush roller! This one picks it great! The brush roller in the front of my old one picked so much pet hair that I would have to stop and clean it out, but that did not happen on this one, so that is another bonus. Another pro is the fact that I can use all the attachments off my old Shark, which allows me to have double the attachments. It has a lot of power, and it reminds me of a self-propelled lawn mower that is ready to take off and it makes it a lot easier to push, not that it’s heavy or anything. Upon reading the manual, I found out the headlights will indicate if there is a problem in the color and pattern of the lights, talk about a game changer! I’m going to have to keep the manual around if my Shark starts flashing out a SOS code, although I don’t anticipate that happening. The vacuum cleaner picked up exceptionally well and I had to empty it out a few times. My last pro is the anti-allergen dust brush. One reviewer made a video that pointed out it would be great for blinds, as well as the top & bottom of ceiling fan blades. I tried it tonight on the blinds and it was awesome! The cons: the cord length is 25 ft where my old one was 30 feet. That extra 5 feet was perfect for me, so now I’m going to have to plug in and move it to other plugs. I used to be able to do my entire house by using two plugs. I don’t know who at Shark made that decision, but I would love to have a word with them. This vacuum is larger than my other and I didn’t think anything about it, until I realized that I couldn’t get it into a couple of places that I could get my old one. And my last con may sound a little odd, but dust cup release is just the opposite of my old one, so when I click the button, it opens the other way, which almost caused me not to get it in the trash can. That is something I’m just going to have to get used too. Overall, I’m pleased with this new Shark and I look forward to using it for many more years.

Customer Review: Holy crap!! This vacuum sucks seriously hard. I didn’t even know where some of that dirt came from! Best vacuum I have ever used, and the price was such a good value. It is easy to clean the filters and the instructions were super easy to follow for the minor assembly required. works on my hardwood as well, which is a great bonus. It even gets the corners and stairs with the included attachments and goes around and under furniture well.

Love how it swivels in every direction possible so I can make tight turns at the last second! This is super light weight compared to Dyson! The pet hair remover is amazing and is very powerful! I use the attachments on the stairs all the time. Yes, you’ll need to use the hose for baseboards, but most vacuums are like that. My only complaint is the attachments fall off the vacuum while running it. Not sure how to fix that unless I remove them. Other than that, this vacuum works like a charm!

Customer Review: I wanted a lightweight cordless vacuum that could go from floor vac to hand vac. I researched my options and settled on this one. We have a cat and also are allergic to cats (go figure) so really wanted something to get the cat hair under control.Unbeknownst to me when I ordered this, not only do we have a cat but we also had a major flea situation (I can’t bring myself to use the word ‘infestation’). I ripped this lil’ Shark out of the box and immediately started vacuuming, and have used it almost daily for the past three weeks.Really impressed with the suction, charge, ease of use, and ease of emptying. It’s easy to transition it from a floor vac to a hand vac, and the pet hair attachment and crevice tool seem good. I wish there was a place on the device to store the extra tools, because I’m just wandering around from room to room carrying them in a plastic bag for whenever I need to swap them in and out. Also a little annoying that I sometimes have to power off and on when it gets unhappy with one of the throw rugs and the floor brush stops spinning. But overall, I love it!I have two Dysons, a Roomba, and a shop vac, and this one has been getting by far the most use. I’m shocked and horrified by how much dust and fur it picks up every day. Gross but satisfying (and fleas are now at bay!!).

Customer Review: I’ve been using my Shark Cordless vacuum for a few months now. I still love it. I was waiting to make sure it kept working before reviewing. So far, so good. I haven’t had the best luck with the less expensive cordless vacuums. One was so hard to clean I just sent it back. Another had a problem with the rollers not spinning. I managed to keep it going for 2 years but always presented problems. This one is easy. The rollers stop the nanosecond a problem is detected and nothing has gotten wrapped up in them. This one is not so expensive that I couldn’t afford it and is what I was looking for. It seems durable and hopefully it will last more than a few years.It’s easy to use, lightweight and empties very easily. Just hold it over the garbage can and push the button. Nice. It’s also easy to charge. I just plug it in next to a wall and let it charge. My only complaint is actually that the charge barely lasts long enough. I have 1204 sq. ft. on 3 levels. I use a larger, corded vacuum for the top level that has 2 carpeted bedrooms. So, I’m only vacuuming the hard floors on the 2nd level (with some throw rugs) and the carpeted living room on the ground floor. Also 18 total carpeted steps. So, I wish the charge would last another 10-15 minutes for a more complete job. That said, it works so well, that I’m still very happy.The best part is that it’s small enough and light enough to make cleaning the stairs a lot less of a chore than with a full-sized regular vacuum. The rollers pull strongly and the suction is quite adequate. Not overwhelmingly so but does the job. I have 2 cats and need to be able to have a handy device especially for the steps where they love to play.
