Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I have lots of vacuums. I have cordless sticks, traditional sweepers and the robot vacuums that run when I’m not around. I have two dogs, so I feel like I need to clean the floors constantly. I found that the cordless sweepers are convenient, but not very powerful. I wanted a light vacuum with strong suction and I knew that a battery wouldn’t work…that’s why I got the corded version. Wow. It’s so powerful. It really picks up the dirt and I am very happy with how well it cleans my carpets. The cord is long enough that I can move around easily. It’s not very noisy and I really enjoy it. It was super easy to put together and although I saw some negative reviews about storage, I haven’t had any issues with just leaning it up against a wall. It was a great buy and I am very happy with the quality.
Customer Review: So this is my favorite stick. Vacuum always has been my other one held up until the stick didn’t want to stay up anymore. It kept falling over and so I donated it to my church and they use it and it works quite well. Still, it still sucks up everything. It still works. This one here is a bit different. They changed the brush on it. So the brushes aren’t as close together as they were before, so it doesn’t Pick up with the brushes as well as it used to. But the suction is more so it works about the same. So the brush is a little bit different, which I wish they would change it back to the old brush. Other than that, this is the perfect little vacuum. It does great on carpeting, all types of carpeting, and Wood floors are whatever type of flurge that you have that have no carpet. It works really well. I love this vacuum. It’s not heavy. The only thing I want to say about this new one is the rubber piece where you grip your hand on. I have bad Arthritis and stuff, and it tends to rub my hand and hurt it. The other vacuum. I did not do that. So I think they made that rubber piece around where you grip your hand a little bit more hard, and it just it rubs my hand wrong. So I have to hold my vacuum different now. So that it does not give me a sore, so if they would go back to the softer version on the hand grip. And go back to the original brush, this is the perfect vacuum. It’s absolutely amazing.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This is a long one, but it’s worth the read if you’re doing some serious shopping for a vacuum cleaner:I picked this up in October so I’ve been using it for a few months just to get a genuine sense of how this vacuum really performed and I am absolutely impressed! This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. ( If you’re wondering why I own so many vacuums, I clean for a living.) I bought this for the house. I have two cats and a husband who’s into Warhammer so you know there are sprew bits and cat hair everywhere and this thing handles it like a champ! I wasn’t sold on how small the floor attachment was until I used it: I can get underneath my barstools so much easier now and my entire house ( approx. 2000 sq ft.) is done in 20 minutes, tops! There is a learning curve, but that’s something you get with any new vacuum. I was also super impressed by the ease with which I can switch from floor to handheld attachments. Some of these other vacuums I’ve used are so bulky and difficult to handle all the small attachments… Not this one! I’m able to switch back and forth from floor to handheld quick, fast and in a hurry. Bonus points that it’s lightweight. I’m not killing myself just to vacuum my house. It’s really saved my back! And it was so much less expensive than the Dyson or the Kirby. The window on the floor attachment gives me a clear view of the roller brush ( yeah, it makes me accountable which is a good thing. It’s harder to ignore when I can see it so thanks for that, too. ). The cord is a tad short, so I went ahead a bought a small extension cord to go with it, but other than that, I’m very impressed! I wish I had bought this years ago. I will never buy another vacuum from anyone else other than Shark again. Good job, guys! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious little vacuum.
Customer Review: I picked up this Shark Navigator Lift-Away vacuum to replace an older one, and it’s been a big improvement. The suction is strong and does a great job picking up dirt, dust, and pet hair from both carpets and hard floors. One feature I really like is the Lift-Away option, which makes it much easier to clean stairs and tighter spaces without dragging the whole vacuum around. It’s also pretty lightweight and easy to maneuver around furniture. Emptying the dust bin is simple and not messy, which is always a plus.Overall, it’s a reliable vacuum that cleans well and is easy to use throughout the house. Definitely a solid choice if you want something powerful without being overly heavy or complicated.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: The reviews were NOT lying OMG! This vacuum suction is amazing, so amazing that you’ll get a great workout while using it lol! It will pick up dirt, pet hair, dust, crumbs, you name it, it’ll grab it! No particles left after you vacuum and turn it off like other vacuums. Super functional but I did notice on my rugs I needed two hands to push it, it’s alot easier on standard carpet. It’s also a lot quieter than your normal vacuum, my downstairs neighbors will be happy as I vacuum often lol. So happy with my purchase! Shark just gained a forever customer.
Customer Review: The SHARK UPRIGHT NAVIGATOR is the BEST vacuum cleaner I have ever purchased! I love the way it lets me navigate all around my furniture, I love that it lets me clean underneath my tables, and I love how POWERFUL the suction is! I thought my fully-carpeted small house was clean when the Navigator arrived, but after one use, the LARGE clear canister on this machine was FULL. The carpet was so much cleaner, and it has a setting for hard floors also. The difference in cleaning was amazing. My old vacuum was okay, but this thing is AMAZING. My allergies can feel the wonderful difference too! And the machine is easy to maneuver, even for a small woman like me. Shipping was SO FAST with Amazon Prime, the seller’s price was great, and I was able to assemble and USE my new Navigator in 2 minutes. I highly recommend this vacuum to everyone! A great house gift to give to anyone, and for yourself! Enjoy 🙂

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: The media could not be loaded. This cordless vacuum turned out to be far more capable than I expected. It feels incredibly powerful — I can literally feel it almost pulling the carpet up as I use it. In just a few minutes, it collected an impressive amount of dust and small debris that I didn’t even realize was there. Despite the strong suction, it’s surprisingly lightweight and easy to maneuver. I also love the retractable pipe and the fact that the hand piece detaches to work as a small handheld vacuum, which is perfect for quick cleanups and tight spaces. If you want serious cleaning power in a convenient, cordless design, this vacuum is absolutely worth it.
Customer Review: I’ve been using this cordless vacuum for a while now, and I have to say, I’m really happy about it. Wasn’t totally sure what to expect at first since it’s a new brand for me, but this one surprised me. The suction is more than enough for everyday messes, and it has plenty of attachments to get into any area (even my car) if needed. Worth calling out is the flexible hose attachment, which lets you get into any small crevice that rigid vacuums often don’t allow. I’ve a mix of hardwood and low-pile carpet, plus my car always seems dirty (lol), and it handles all of it without any issues. Even along the edges of the walls and corners, or between the seats of my car, it gets most of the stuff in one pass. One of my favorite aspects is how lightweight and easy it is to move around, which honestly makes me want to vacuum more. It doesn’t feel like a chore to clean, which makes a big difference when I just want to do a quick sweep after dinner or before company comes over (no need to get something heavy out of the closet and plug it in). The wall-mounted charging dock it comes with is convenient too and keeps it out of the way. Also love that it converts to a handheld, which is super convenient for car cleaning (as mentioned earlier). The touch display is pretty useful, and shows you the battery percentage, power mode, and is also how you change the power mode. The trigger button is simply how you turn the vacuum on/off. On the low setting, I get close to an hour of life, which is plenty to clean my whole place (a 2 BR). On the medium/high settings, the runtime drops bit – I’d say around 25 to 30 minutes on the strongest mode, but definitely more than enough time for the messiest areas / carpets / etc. Emptying the dustbin is super easy too since the chamber removes with one click. The filter is washable, which I also appreciate because it cuts down on having to buy any replacements. If I had to point out a downside, it’s that the high suction setting drains the battery faster, so I try to use that one only when I really need the extra power or if I have a particularly fuzzy carpet (but this is expected with any cordless vacuum). Honestly for the price and everything you get, there’s nothing wrong with it, and it makes my everyday cleaning a lot easier. For a cordless vacuum with good suction, plenty of attachments, long battery life, and doesn’t cost as much as like a Dyson or something, this is a very reasonable option. Would recommend it to my fam/friends if needed!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I absolutely love this little vacuum. It has some weight to it and all the parts feel substantial, not cheap. Great suction! Easy to handle. Perfect for my tiny house and my cleaning needs. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a well-made, small, easy to use vacuum. Great deal for the $$$. It was less than $100!
Customer Review: I recently got a Shark stickvacuum (the more expensive kind )and had problems with my wrist. Because it’s so heavy, and problems with my ears because of the high pitched sound of it’s motor, as well as the suction, which isn’t all that great. All these problems have been resolved with this Eureka canister vac. What an excellent vacuum cleaner. The handle is light weight, it’s a breeze to vacuum and I can finish all rooms, no fatigue. The motor is strong and not that noisy, it makes no high pitched and is pleasant to the ears. But most important is the suction power and the super easy cleaning of this vac. Phantastic! I’m over the moon. And between all the Bissells (which are good!), Sharks Hoovers and such. This one and Siemens are the best.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I live in the desert so a LOT of dust and dirt get tracked into my home, and I also have a what WAS a “fancy” floor finish that now flakes up CONSTANTLY, so keeping up on vacuuming is a *constant* chore. Just to make things more complicated, I’m disabled and have arthritis, so doing a lot of moving around and bending down to get at tricky spots used to leave me laid up for an entire day after housekeeping.THIS vacuum cleaner has been a complete GAME-CHANGER! It is a *little* heavier than I expected, but for all the other features, it’s enough of a trade-off. One of the BEST features for someone with limited flexibility is that you can lift the light-weight cannister and motor section off of the base and carry it around like a hand vacuum. You can *also* remove the handle from the vacuum in two differed lengths – a short handle for cleaning things at waist height and above, and a LONG handle to get under crevices and other spots on the floor without bending over or getting down on your hands and knees for tricky spaces! This vacuum allows me to adjust the rug/floor setting with a button near the handle without having to bend over and fiddle with a knob near the floor, and even has a setting to automatically adjust itself to go from carpet to bare floor. The motor is STRONG and does an excellent job at cleaning the carpet and floor with just a few passes. For getting under cupboards and furniture, there’s a sensor that will give a boost where you need one, and a light that goes on and off automatically because the darn thing is MAGIC and knows when you need it!The cannister that holds the dust and dirt is on the small side, but I think this is a plus because even though you have to clean it out a little more often, it doesn’t vomit out so much gunk that you end up covered in dust and grime. That is also why it is small and light enough to carry around, so I consider it a feature, not a bug.It is a little pricey, but I think it’s been worth every penny. I actually look forward to using it because it’s made it so much easier to keep my house clean again!
Customer Review: Awesome value. I use a Miele C3 vac ($1,000+) in my main home and bought the Shark Rotator for a beach house. After using the Shark for the first time in main home, I’m impressed. Cleaning dog hair off carpet and grit off hard floors looked thorough. The Shark is almost as easy to manipulate as the wand and power carpet brush on the Miele. The Shark doesn’t get any long border collie hair wrapped around the rotating carpet brush. Shark’s liftaway capability provides the mobility, although heavier, of the long hose on the Miele canister vac. Wrapping the cord on the Shark is an added chore that’s automated with the Miele cord rewind. The Miele has killer vacuum and graduated vacuum control for drapes versus a basic high-low vac control on the Shark. I like the bag filtering on the Miele to capture more dust because I have mild allergies, but the Shark dust bin empties easily. For 1/3rd the price the Shark Rotator is a champ.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: AWESOME Vacuum! Had my last Shark Rocket for 7 years. They work well, light weight, strong suction for dirt & PET HAIR and last a LONG time! Doesn’t take up a lot of room to store, long cord and easy to empty. Checks all the boxes! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Customer Review: So far I have used this vacuum twice and It’s a pretty strong stick vacuum. It works really well on carpet and hard floors. I like that it is so versatile. You can use the tools with the stick extension or attach the tools directly to the vacuum for closer jobs. It definitely has a great suction which I love about Shark vacuums. Shark has been one of my favorite brands of vacuum tools. I have used the navigator, i have a cordless hand vacuum that I use to clean my truck that works great and I had a Shark robot vacuum at one point as well. Shark vacuums have just been great machines all around.I will say the reviews about not being able to stand the vacuum up is only somewhat accurate. If the dust bin and motor are attached as you normally would to vacuum your floors then the weight of it will cause it to fall over. The roller brush part isn’t wide enough or heavy enough to hold it up. However, there is a little hook down by the roller on the front of the extension tube that is meant to hold the motor and dust cup. If you remove the motor and place it on the storage hook it will stand up perfectly and become a little more compact. It distributes the weight and BOOM it stands without issues. Love the light on it too. It lit up dust and dirt I couldn’t normally see. I can use it under my bed which I like because my pups like to lay under it with the toy graveyard. It’s a nice machine for a 856 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment. I mostly have hard floors but it works great everywhere. Pretty decent price too for $125. The upholstery tool and brush tool are combined. To use the brush they must be together but to use the upholstery tool you push the release button and the brush will pop off to reveal the upholstery tool. Pretty nifty stuff. As other reviewers mentioned there isn’t a place to store the tools but to me that is a minor inconvenience.
8. Shark VM401 VACMOP Reveal Cleaner
The Shark VACMOP Reveal is a unique 2-in-1 cordless cleaner that vacuums and spray mops hard floors in one pass. It’s lightweight and designed specifically for hard surface cleaning.
Key Features That Stand Out
- ✓ Vacuums and spray mops in one tool
- ✓ Dirt-Reveal technology with LED light
- ✓ Disposable pads lock away debris
- ✓ Lightweight and cordless
- ✓ Includes cleaning solution

If you have mostly hard floors (tile, laminate, hardwood), this vacuum-mop combo is a time-saver. The LED light is surprisingly useful for seeing dust and hair, and the dual action means you don’t need to vacuum then mop separately.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: WOW! I have had a shark vacmop and just upgraded to this model. I THOUGHT my floors were clean, but that blue light reveal shows it ALL! Awesome product, and I LOVE knowing that my floors are actually CLEAN!
Customer Review: The media could not be loaded. One of my favorite household purchases to date! We are a busy family with 4 kids and multiple dogs (who like to get muddy), and this thing keeps up! It is very durable! We have primarily LVP flooring throughout our home. I can use this without vacuuming before, and the pads still manage to collect all the dust and hair and dirt. It has great battery life and is lightweight and so easy to use. Does not take long to charge at all! I have used different mopping floor cleaners if I run out, but the Shark is best and leaves my house smelling great. It is great value for the money, and I have purchased this for gifts and always recommend to those looking for a great vac mop. 10/10!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I’ve been using my Shark Cordless vacuum for a few months now. I still love it. I was waiting to make sure it kept working before reviewing. So far, so good. I haven’t had the best luck with the less expensive cordless vacuums. One was so hard to clean I just sent it back. Another had a problem with the rollers not spinning. I managed to keep it going for 2 years but always presented problems. This one is easy. The rollers stop the nanosecond a problem is detected and nothing has gotten wrapped up in them. This one is not so expensive that I couldn’t afford it and is what I was looking for. It seems durable and hopefully it will last more than a few years. It’s easy to use, lightweight and empties very easily. Just hold it over the garbage can and push the button. Nice. It’s also easy to charge. I just plug it in next to a wall and let it charge. My only complaint is actually that the charge barely lasts long enough. I have 1204 sq. ft. on 3 levels. I use a larger, corded vacuum for the top level that has 2 carpeted bedrooms. So, I’m only vacuuming the hard floors on the 2nd level (with some throw rugs) and the carpeted living room on the ground floor. Also 18 total carpeted steps. So, I wish the charge would last another 10-15 minutes for a more complete job. That said, it works so well, that I’m still very happy. The best part is that it’s small enough and light enough to make cleaning the stairs a lot less of a chore than with a full-sized regular vacuum. The rollers pull strongly and the suction is quite adequate. Not overwhelmingly so but does the job. I have 2 cats and need to be able to have a handy device especially for the steps where they love to play.
Customer Review: 3rd times the charm. This is a great, lightweight and practical cordless vacuum for Huskies and other shedding dogs. The charge has lasted all week and the waste holds enough to finish the living room and kitchen/dining area without having to empty. Suction is great. It works well on carpet and ceramic floors. I have a bad back and hip yet was able to lift this over furniture and push easily. I tried two other brands/models and returned as one had zero waste capacity and other not enough suction for the dog hair. This one seems perfect.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I researched this vacuum heavily before buying it and honestly I was not sure it was going to be as good as everyone said. I was wrong. The vacuum is stellar. I can tell that it’s cleaning the carpet in a way that it was not cleaned by my old Shark vacuum because of what I see in the dust cup as they call it.. it’s hardly a cup it’s huge. The one thing they don’t tell you in all the reviews and videos that I watched is that the motorized brush rollers are really powerful. I’m 72 but fairly strong very physically active/fit and this thing just about ran away with me. It was a workout to use it. Not in a bad way but still a workout. The forward is easy..but on the backstroke you’ve got to really pull against those brushes that want to go forward. Very impressive results so far. I might update this after three or four months of using it. I have a low pile ribbed carpet and I’ve been using it on the medium setting which seems to be appropriate for this carpet. I’ve not tried it on my hardwood floors yet. All I can say is the suction is very strong and puts my older.Shark Navigator and classic Miele cannister vacuum to shame. Completely worth the slightly higher price, very easy to put together right out of the box,. I couldn’t be more satisfied.
Customer Review: This is my second Shark Vertex, model az2002. The first one lasted 5 years. The plastic swivel component that attached to the floor vacuum literally broke in pieces, a small piece first, then a large piece, then all of it. It would still vacuum, but not stand up, nor could you maneuver it. Tried repairing, gave up. I replaced it with a Shark Navigator lift away. I had previously owned one of those. After using the Navigator for 7 or 8 months, I decided to go back to the Shark Vertex. My reasons were, the Vertex is self cleaning. I have a great Pyrenees and a shepherd Pyrenees mix, a 2 small dogs. I vacuum every other day. It takes forever when you have to stop and clean the brush roll out. I also have a shag area rug, and when using the Navigator, even with adjusting the suction, it was more of a work out and struggle. I started looking at the Vertex model and caught it on sale on Amazon, I won’t say what I paid, but it’s a lot cheaper than what the price is now. Having said all this, the Vertex is worth it. The suction surpasses the Navigator, and it even dusts your floors. Long dog hair, no problem, vacuuming the car, got it. I dont find it to be heavy, or cumbersome. The Navigator is a good vacuum, but for me the Vertex is worth it, even if I only get another 5 years out of it.
Complete Buying Guide for Best Shark Vacuum For Carpet And Tile
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing a Shark vacuum for mixed carpet and tile floors, several factors make a big difference in daily use. Suction power is paramount—look for models with high Pa or air watts for deep carpet cleaning. Brushroll design matters: rubber or self-cleaning brushrolls are best for pet hair, while traditional bristles may scratch some hard floors. Weight and maneuverability affect usability—lighter stick vacuums are easier to carry, but uprights often have more power. Filtration like HEPA is crucial for allergies. Dust capacity determines how often you’ll empty it. For cordless models, battery life and charge time are key. Attachments like crevice tools and pet brushes add versatility. Finally, consider noise level and maintenance costs (bagless vs. bags, washable filters).
Budget Planning
Shark vacuums range from under $100 for basic models like the Eureka NEN110D to over $400 for premium uprights like the POWERDETECT. For under $200, you’ll find capable stick and upright models with good suction and basic features. The $200-$300 range offers advanced features like lift-away pods, HEPA filters, and pet tools. Above $300, you get top-tier technology like DuoClean, sensor-based suction boost, and premium build quality. Consider long-term costs: bagless models save on bags but may need filter replacements; washable filters reduce ongoing expenses.
Final Thoughts
The best Shark vacuum for your carpet and tile depends on your specific needs. For most mixed-floor homes, the Shark NV360 Navigator offers the best balance of power, versatility, and value. If you prioritize lightweight design, the Shark HV301 Rocket is a fantastic corded stick. Pet owners should lean toward the Shark LA502 Rotator or HV322 Rocket Pet Plus for hair management. For hard-floor-heavy homes, the Shark VACMOP Reveal is a unique time-saver. And if you want the absolute best performance regardless of weight, the Shark POWERDETECT AZ4002 is Shark’s most powerful. Match the vacuum to your floor types, physical comfort, and budget for the best experience.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are Shark vacuums good for both carpet and tile?
A: Yes, many Shark models are designed for multi-surface cleaning. Look for vacuums with adjustable suction or brushroll shut-off features that protect hard floors while providing deep carpet cleaning. Models like the Navigator and Rotator series excel on both surfaces.
Q: What’s the difference between Shark’s Lift-Away and Rocket series?
A: Lift-Away models (like the Navigator) are upright vacuums with a detachable pod that converts to a handheld for stairs and above-floor cleaning. Rocket models are stick vacuums, often lighter and more compact, that also convert to handheld. Rockets are generally easier to store, while Lift-Aways typically have larger dust cups and more powerful suction.
Q: How often should I clean or replace Shark vacuum filters?
A: Shark’s washable filters should be rinsed with cold water every 3 months (or more frequently if you have pets or allergies) and allowed to air-dry completely for 24 hours before reinserting. Pre-motor filters may need replacement every 6-12 months depending on use. Check your model’s manual for specific guidance.
Q: Do Shark vacuums work well on high-pile carpet?
A: Most Shark uprights and powerful stick vacuums handle medium to high-pile carpet effectively, but performance varies. Models with strong suction and motorized brushrolls like the POWERDETECT or Rotator series work best. For very thick shag carpet, consider a vacuum with adjustable suction and a wide brushroll to avoid bogging down.
Q: Are cordless Shark vacuums as powerful as corded ones?
A: Modern cordless Sharks have improved significantly, but corded models still generally offer more sustained power, especially on deep carpet. Cordless vacuums like the 650W model come close but may have shorter runtime on high settings. For large homes with lots of carpet, corded is often more reliable; for quick cleanups and hard floors, cordless is very convenient.
After reviewing these top Shark vacuums, it’s clear there’s a perfect match for every home with mixed carpet and tile. Whether you need the raw power of the POWERDETECT, the versatility of the Navigator Lift-Away, or the convenience of a cordless stick, Shark has a model that will make cleaning faster and more effective. Consider your specific floor types, pet situation, and physical preferences when choosing. For most people, the Shark NV360 Navigator provides the best all-around performance and value.
