This is the S8201 and newest edition to the Shark Stream Mop line. This upgraded version has a removable tank, making refills easy. I recommend using distilled water for cleaning, especially if you have hard water or treated city water – it prevents mineral buildup within the steam vac. This is lightweight and, while it’s not cordless, the cord is plenty long enough to clean a large area. We have hardwood in the kitchen, dining room, office, and living room and I was able to steam clean all of these floors with one small tank refill. It has three settings, the higher, the more powerful. It’s a self-propelled steam mop too, so it’s really easy to move around compared to manual ones. This version also has LED lights – a feature I love in all vacuum type devices because it can make it so much better to catch missed areas. The steam blast feature works great on stuck on stains. Occasionally it takes a few steam blasts and passes with the spinning scrubbers if something is really stuck on the floor. I loved mine so much, I got one for my moms house in NY too. She is disabled and needs assistance with cleaning, and that seemed like an easier option than brining mine back and forth. Customer Review: I’m a previous Shark Steamer owner. It was a flat steam mop not rotary. I had this one maybe 10 years. That one got water temps to about 180 degrees. It worked really well but left streaks. I had tried other steamers that promised to get water temps to 212 degrees which is boiling point for water. They all failed within months. Too small and too hot. So I continued to use my old Shark Steamer with ok results. I prefer the idea of steaming for cleaning vs the chemical solution for other store bought mops.I bought this one in December 2025, just before Christmas because the old steamer died. I am very pleased.The things I like include the following.1. Bigger water tank. I can steam clean more before taking the time to refill. The old one took 3 fills to do a small clean like the kitchen and bathrooms. Today I did a much more thorough cleaning, rolling up rugs, moving furniture etc. This was a longer clean time. I filled twice. Very happy.2. I didn’t know if I would like the roller pads as never using before. It actually works well. It is so much easier to move the steamer over the floor and I think it cleans better. Also, I don’t get the streaking I got with the old machine. I’m very pleased.3. It is light weight and easy to maneuver.4. Steam: So the pads are wet with the steam water and you have a button to push for more steam if you need it. Very nice. Needless to say, I get enough steam to clean the floor. Very happy.5. The prompts ask about scent? I don’t know why. I do put a bit of vinegar in the distilled water. My preference.6. With baby crawling and walking everywhere, this was super easy to get started and use right away. I love how lightweight overall the steam mop is. XL removable water tank that fills 16.9 fl oz of water (or 500ml). I love that its chemical free and just use water! Comes with 2 washable pads that doesn’t get ruined after several washes. Very simple to stick them on and steam away the dirty floor. I’ve tried this on varies of floors, from tiles to hardwood to laminate. Works excellent on all! Too bad it doesn’t steam the carpets hah. This steam mop has 3 modes for steaming, I tend to use maximum level and it does a fantastic job. I love how it lasts to cover my entire kitchen, living room and laundry room plus halls before I need to add more water! That’s a lot, with the fact I have a spacious home with lots of space. If you press the handle, it releases more steam for extra spot on cleaning! I can’t believe I didn’t have this steam mop sooner! All those vacuums I’ve ever owned didn’t do it’s justice comparing to this product. Love steaming as it kills those germs. One way I’d improve this product is having the cord being a retractable cord for easier to manage cord. The cord itself is long and there are hooks to wrap it around when cleaning or putting it away but I think a retractable cord would be a better design. Customer Review: I gave 4 stars as Shark Steamer mop S1000 is a good product. My last one was the purple steam mop and lasted 15 years. It was used at least once a week on all floors and for mess. It has the power steam and wipe the dirt away. Fast and easy. I have sealed hard wood floors, lots of tile, have always had two large dogs and one messy spouse who seams to drop everything on the kitchen floor, and brings in mud. (The dogs are cleaner). Needless to say, it gets good use. Fill the tank, wait as instructions say 2-3 minutes, you will hear the steam and it ready. I like the washable pads and ordered six extra to have them on had. The last was you had to fill the tank, not removable. This new one has a removable tank which I like the idea. Easy to dump out any water remain to let dry. However, maybe because it’s new, I find the tank is a bit hard to remove, the instructions say to pull up and out. You have to just pull out. The button under the tank on the machine its self does push in to allow the tank to snap back into place, but to remove it takes a little figure power to pull out. It needs a tank release button to make easier for arthritis hands. But I am still sticking with this machine and brand, hope it does me just as well as the last one.

Customer Review: don’t normally write reviews but Ohh My! great performance! especially for the price. I can’t afford to buy a wicked expensive professional high end steamer, so went for this. I did 4 rooms rinsing/hand washing the pad in between rooms. time consuming for first run but wanted to do it right as the directions instructed. tip.. take yr time with patience. a small area at a time, moving the mop slow, pumping the handle for good steam. as instructed go over the area numerous times (per directions 15 strokes), slowly. I broke it down to smaller patches of floor at a time. took a lot of breaks so I had patience. after the steam cleaning I mopped all the floors with my swiffer (reusable cloth pad) n pine sol to test how dirty the swiffer pad got as opposed to normally. huge difference! barely dirty swiffer pad, indicating the steam mop did the job. tested out barefoot & my floors feel soo smoothe n clean! also my house is high traffic from people and PETS. even with cleaning regularly the mop pad got verry dirty, i know it took a lot of dirt off the floors that normal cleaning just dont achieve. made a HUGE differences to crevices & edges where grime builds up. note: over time the floors will get even cleaner, can’t expect perfection one round with built up dirt that hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned by normal mopping. as time goes by can probably lighten up with the time spent & the repetitions.is plastic but thats a great thing, is light making it very easy to keep going! Just be careful not to bang it up or toss it around. reaches under furniture items great! manuevers with ease in all directions. wish the water reservoir was bigger had to refill several times, however as I said I took my time going over all areas numerous times, pumping out lots of steam. I will probably thoroughly steam mop the floors periodically, in between do normal mopping.have a new ceramic tile bathroom floor that per the instructions, I did not use the steam mop. if it’s not coated or sealed it can discolor the ceramic. read all the directions.the cord is frustrating, in the way. i hold it up as i mop but for the price and performance i can deal with that. don’t hesitate my house feels so clean n sanitized!

Customer Review: We love our Shark vacuum, so when 5 star reviews of this Shark power steam mop started popping up, I was intrigued enough to actually watch the videos.The first time I used it to clean our vast, faux wood, great room floor, I fell in love.I was so over all the other mops with the sprays, chemicals, soaps and vinegars, leaving behind smells and streaks that either had to be rinsed (a whole ‘nother job) or would quickly pick up dirt.This light, quiet, water only steamer with the whirling, non-scratch pads just pulls along, taking dirt and grime with it. Customer Review: I’ve had my Shark now for over two years and it’s still going strong! I was honestly nervous after receiving my steam mop because it did feel a little flimsy. However, that being said…it would be tiring to use a heavy solid mop that holds added weight in water! We decided to go with the steam for several reasons but first, because my daughter suffers from severe allergies! This mop uses no cleaners and does a much better job than a traditional mop and bucket. I also liked the “green” factor of no cleaner and washable pads. I have washed and reused the cleaning pads too many times to count and not a single one of them is showing any signs of wear!! (not counting some staining of course) Also, one of my daughters accidentally dropped my Shark down the basement stairs and cracked the plastic housing…didn’t effect the mop in the least. It feels no flimsier and hasn’t worsened as I’ve continued using it…and it doesn’t leak. It’s plastic…I don’t blame the mop for breaking when the same daughter dropped my cast iron pan down the same stairs and that also broke 😉 We have finished hardwood floors, laminate floors, tiled floors, Allure floors and oiled pine floors…this mop works wonderfully on every one of them! I’ve used it to remove general dirt and grime, sticky nasties, wax, crayon, marker, paint, wood stove ash residue, unidentifiable kid & pet surprises and numerous food spills all with great success! I have recommended this mop several times and will do so several more times I’m sure! The only drawback, by the way, to steam mopping is during peak humid summer weather, although the added humidity during the dry winter months is great! ;)***UPDATE***Sadly my Shark pocket mop finally died 🙁 It stopped making steam after 4 years! I only used the rectangular one. I have an open floor plan so if you have tight spaces the triangular head may work better for you. I didn’t use the carpet attachment either…with my daughter’s allergies we got rid of all our carpeting…which means our entire house is bare, steam-moppable floors…this mop gets USED! Our house is not large…28×26, two and a half levels with moppable floors with a mostly open floor plan. The cord reached every area from one central outlet.**UPDATE** The cord on the new mop is shorter than the old one. I was disappointed, but it still mops the same…only now I have to move the plug to more than one outlet…not a deal-breaker for me** I also never had to buy replacement pads in the four years I’ve owned them! They are no longer white…but they still work beautifully! I occasionally tried the big purple fluffy pad that came with mine but I wasn’t totally thrilled with it…maybe because it took longer to wet enough to clean with…admittedly I just want to get mopped and be done ASAP. If I came across an especially hard spot to get clean I simply (with shoes on!) stepped on the head and applied pressure and steam for several seconds and rarely had anything not come up…even cooled candle wax 🙂 Most other mops don’t look like you could step on the head without damaging it.By far my favorite feature is the reversible mopping surface! I mop half of one level (it actually could do more) then simply flip the mop over to mop the rest with the clean side! LOVE that! No changing scalding hot pads part way through a mop job or waiting for it to cool down enough to change it! I also got one level done on one tank of water with some left over 🙂 AND…even though it said to use distilled water I never did….I used straight well water from the tap…and we have high iron in our water. I am most definitely a fan…especially for a price that’s nearly half of many of the other steam mops out there!I am sorry that some other reviewers did not have the same experience I have had. I understand that this is an electronic appliance. My new one may have a manufacturing flaw that my old one didn’t. You will get that with ANY electronic device…some will be flawless…others DOA. Customer Review: I’m a fan of Shark products and have several (upholstery cleaner, regular and cordless vacuum cleaners). My last Shark steam mop finally died after regular use for 10+ years. I didn’t even consider any other brand. My floors were pleading with me for a clean, that said, this bad boy was in use within a hour of delivery. I love it and the blue is a nice touch! It’s lighter weight and quieter than the last one. The steam is powerful and just right. Compared to the older model, the cord is several feet shorter and the water reservoir is smaller, not a big deal. I love the attachments which my old model didn’t have. I used the flat, padded tool on the dog door opening, cleaned it easily, no scrubbing. I don’t have kids that make messes but I have a dog and I’m a dog sitter, so my floors are always being cleaned. I highly recommend this mop!

Customer Review: I was skeptical of how good this work work, because I bought the Bissell equivalent (a wet mop/vac combo) a couple years ago and it was an absolute disaster and waste of money. Clogged up, sputtered filthy water out, was inconsistent in dispensing water and cleaner. This however did an amazing job, was super simple to use and virtually no assembly required. The steam got scum off my hard wood floors I hadn’t mopped in months up in addition to sucking up debris. I like not having to use floor cleaner either and just steam. 10/10 recommend. I am calling it my depression assistant. When i get down and out the idea of sweeping and mopping thr floors is daunting. Not anymore!!

Customer Review: My update March 2026 – purchase last year, and after using several times I see the performance not that good. It’s one thing that you need to make multiple passes to vacuum up debris – on a floor that was fully vacuumed first. Sorry to be disappointed with the Shark Steam Pickup, it has all the promise but the collection bin and the separate debris chambers are way too small. Very sorry about this, but have donated the Shark, it will have a new home.The Shark Steam Pickup Lightweight 3 in 1 steam mop was the best surprise – having looked at other models on Amazon that were over the top feature wise I chose this one. It is simple, exactly what was described. Functions like a real pro, super easy to maneuver and clean. The suction is not great but a few extra passes does the job. Plus, you will not believe how quiet it is when running – Shark has mastered tamed the sound barrier. I expect to get many years from my Shat, 3 in 1, was worth it. I highly recommend.

Customer Review: I was so excited for this steam mop/vacuum, and when I pulled it out of the box, although it was wrapped up very well, I was rather disappointed. To begin with, I don’t know if this is a true Shark product or just a knock-off. If it were, it would be branded all over the product and it’s not. It has the name in one stop on the front and it is not like other Shark products that I own.Also, it feels very cheap when you put it together. It does say refurbished and it was mostly clean, but there were scratches on the top, which would indicate that it had definitely been used before.Now for the cleaning part: I was very surprised and actually pleased with the job that it did on my very hard to clean kitchen floor. I have black clay tile on my floor in the kitchen, and it is a monster to clean. This steam mop did a terrific job! Because it did so well, it made up for everything I said in the negative about this product in the first two paragraphs of this review! I am definitely impressed!The mop head itself is very small and it is easy to maneuver, but you just have to do multiple swipes across the floor to ensure it is cleaned. Also, it has a tendency to leave wetness that can take some time to dry. I just let it dry on its own because it’s not going to hurt my floors. If you have hardwood floors, this might be an issue for you.The container where the dust goes as it’s vacuuming is fairly small and required me to empty it quite often. Definitely do this right after using so that it wipes out easily! Otherwise, it will dry and harden on the container and become a nuisance.There was no instruction manual to this steam mop, which was frustrating, but there is a paper that has a barcode for you to download a manual. It is pretty much plug-in play though once you figure out how to pull out the water container. I was so worried I would break it. It pulls out kind of hard.The sound is super quiet! My cats are terrified of the vacuum and so when I got this out, they all took out running, but as soon as I turned it on, everyone came out of their hiding spots to see what was going on! So quiet! I actually had to keep pushing them away because I was worried that they would get burned with the steam coming out of the front.Overall, I am still a little upset that this may not really be a true shark product as stated, but I love that it works well and that I can mop and vacuum at the same time and clean up all the messes these cats leave! I feel like it shouldn’t have been as expensive as it was given that I’m not convinced it is a true Shark 3 in 1, but it is what it is. Also, I wish this would’ve had an extra mop head because now I’m going to have to find where I can get a replacement so that I have one clean at all times but other than that, it’s great!

I like that it comes with several replacement pads, and they all feel sturdy and easy to rinse after each use.
