Customer Review: We live on a ranch and have a corgi and toy aussie that live inside. This vacuum has been a game changer!!! The amount of hair alone that it picks up every day is enough to make another dog!!! Even after running once, I could feel the difference in our home. I will definitely be replacing it the second before it dies!!!One thing you should know. It doesn’t like the bigger rocks that come off your shoes. It will “poop” out piles of gravel. The mop is great for keeping dust and little spots cleaned up but it is not for deep cleaning. Our mud room still needs a person to attend it sometimes but overall we love this thing!!!!
Customer Review: Overall, this Shark robot vacuum and mop is just okay for the price. I already own a much less expensive off-brand robot vacuum, and in terms of vacuuming performance, this one performs similarly despite costing significantly more.In some cases the cheaper one does even better. One feature I do appreciate is the self-emptying base, which means I don’t have to empty the dust bin as often. When it empties itself, the odor neutralizer/air freshener is a nice touch. Navigation is another strong point — it handles raised floor vents and thresholds very well and doesn’t get stuck easily. Battery life has also been very good so far.The app is usable, but I don’t see an option to schedule or select multiple vacuum passes, which is something I rely on since robot vacuums often miss spots on a single pass. The mopping function is my biggest disappointment. It mostly feels like it’s just dragging a wet pad across the floor. It leaves the floors too wet, which increases drying time, and the results aren’t as good as I expected. While the robot does attempt to dry its own mop pad afterward, the fan runs for a very long time, creating a constant hum, and the pad is still damp at the end. I end up removing it and drying it manually anyway. The robot itself looks very sleek and modern, and the base has a clean, streamlined design that doesn’t look out of place in a living space. So far, it feels well-built and durable. It has handled thresholds, vents, and regular use without any issues, and nothing feels flimsy or cheaply made.In short, this is a solid vacuum with good navigation and battery life, but the mopping performance and price point make it harder to justify compared to less expensive alternatives. An important note- this vacuum is for maintenance only between cleanings. It does not replace a good stand up vacuum, a mop, and some elbow grease.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I’ve only had this for a couple of days but it seems to be working great. I purchased this to replace my 7-year-old I robot vacuum which just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I have a dog and a cat and this seems to handle the pet hair with ease. The noise level while it’s vacuuming is good, but when it docks and cleans out the dustbin into the big dust bin it’s rather noisy, but that’s only for like 15 or 20 seconds. My apartment is 1,270 ft and it does have to go back and dock itself to recharge before it’ll finish the last little part which takes all of maybe 10 minutes total to finish up. It is nice though that it’ll finish the job on its own without me having to reactivate it after it’s done charging. The mapping process was fairly easy and it seems to be doing a really good job at cleaning up the random cat litter and dog/cat hair off the floors. Overall I’m really happy with this product.
Customer Review: We had an old Eufy robot vacuum that just wasn’t worth the hassle of using. Our dogs hated the old vacuum and would chase it around, flip it down stairways, etc. It was time to replace it. I purchased a new Eufy self emptying model and hated it after one use. It got stuck in sooooo many places! Plus it had these tiny little bags that it emptied into that would require me to spend a fortune on replacement bags. I returned it and began researching Shark robot vacuums. I ordered this and was in awe of how well it worked! It mapped out our home and let me set up “no go” areas. I have this run every morning and it covers a large area, returns to the base to recharge and then resumes cleaning. It does a really nice job and has cut down on the time needed to run a manual vacuum. With two dogs and a busy household it gets a workout every day! It would not hold 60 days of debris for our household due to the dog hair. But that is not a big deal. I typically empty the canister every two to three weeks even though it isn’t full. It goes over area rugs like a champ! There are three floor vents that it will occasionally get stuck on if it hits them at the right angle…but that only happens about every other week…. and only on one of the three. Getting stuck once out of 14 runs isn’t too bad. Especially when our old Eufy would get stuck multiple times in one run.The cons have been that recently I will get an error saying the bin is not installed correctly…but it is and the vacuum continues to run and works just fine. It’s annoying that the app sends the notification while it is in fact working fine. The other complaint is about the app as well. If the vacuum does get stuck the app will not show where it is. You must activate the beeper on it to locate the vacuum. Not a big deal, unless of course the battery has died and it is unable to beep. Fortunately, we are aware of the three possible spots that it gets hung up and can check those if we are unable to locate it by sound. I do think the battery could last longer. It runs for about 45 minutes on normal power before it needs to return to recharge.Besides its cleaning ability the next best thing…our dogs completely ignore this vacuum! I don’t know if the older one made a sound that only they could hear and find annoying or what. But they have paid zero attention to this since its first run!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This is the best robot vacuum on the market. Period. Ive had an iRobot and a Roborock. The iRobot was a decent cleaner but had horrible navigation. The Roborock had excellent navigation but cleaned horrendously. The Roborock actually made my apartment look worse as left these dust bunnies all over so the navigation is pointless if it cant clean. The Shark is perfect in my mind. Best cleaning i have ever seen from a robot vacuum and navigation is great (not quite as good as Roborock) it cleans the 600 sq. ft. area I have it set to clean in 1 hour. It navigates a space with multiple obstructions and different surface levels and not once have I gotten a notification about it being stuck or lost.Another unique feature: is the dust bin. It is a reusable dust bin that you can empty yourself and reuse. No need to buy these 1 time use dust bags that all the other brands require. Massive cost savings over time. The app has all the features you need. Set a cleaning schedule, create rooms, create no go zones, set suction level. Simple but thats all you need.Bottom Line: I need a vacuum that cleans my place effectively and does it without me ever having to think about it. The Shark is the only robot vacuum that has been able to deliver on this. The schedule is set and when I get home my apartment is clean. Buy this vacuum if thats what you need.
Customer Review: Been using robot vacuums for almost a decade and have never had one this good. Pet hair no problem, doesn’t bump into anything, doesn’t get stuck, self empties, efficient, docks itself easily, and amazing suction power for a robot vacuum. Great on both wood floors and carpet. Does a fantastic job with no babysitting. I can’t say enough about this vacuum and honestly I’m amazed at how well it cleans.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This is my first time using a robot vacuum. I went with Shark because I looove their other cleaning machines that I have owned. I’m impressed with this vacuum. It was very easy to set up using the app. After setup, the first thing you do is to let it map your home. The trick is to move items that can be moved out of its way so it can get a good map of your rooms. While its mapping a room, I move chairs out of that room to another until it’s done mapping then I put them back. It does a decent job of creating a map of your home, and you can let it do it again just in case you’re not pleased with its rendering. While mapping, it is not cleaning so bear that in mind. After it delivers the map to your home, you then move on to labeling each room by dragging a square over each area which tells the vacuum the boundaries of that room. This is great for if you later want to send the vacuum to clean a particular room and not the whole house. For places where I have two rooms in one like my kitchen and dining, I separate the two rooms while labeling rooms on the map because sometimes I want only the kitchen vacuumed and not the dining room. I watch where the vacuum goes to begin its vacuuming just to check if the boundary I created in the map is where I want it. I can go in and adjust it in the map by dragging the square for that room to change it. Make sure your squares connect to the square of the adjoining room because in areas where you do not have a square covering in the map, the vacuum will not go there. All that aside, you can opt to do a regular single-pass vacuuming or a more robust matrix vacuuming where the robot goes horizontal and vertical so every area is cleaned twice. Its suction isn’t bad. I still see little things on the carpet that it misses. It does a great job with corners for its round shape. You can also take it to a spot you want it to clean instead of the whole room. You can also use the map to block out areas you do not ever want it to clean.I have a large home and it saves me so much time keeping the floors and carpet clean. You can schedule it to vacuum whenever you like. Doing it maybe 4 times a week helps a lot and keeps debris down. Sometimes when it goes to unload the debris it gets stuck and you have to manually clear the chute and empty the canister in the garbage instead. That’s not a deal breaker for me.It’s not too quiet but I don’t mind it as it lets me know it is working. My dogs find it fascinating at first, they were a bit scared, but after a little while, they just ignore it as its doing its thing.I find no real issues with this vacuum, it’s electronic and may glitch at times, like going to the wrong room, but I just simply cancel it and start again and it works. I highly recommend this.
Customer Review: Update 12/29/2025: if i could give a zero i would!!! ok, the warranty ran out November 2024, the unit has failed. It started to act up a month before the warranty ran out. I cleaned it, new filters, new rollers, did regular maintenance work, it still failed. I was told by a Shark rep after going through the steps to fix , and it can not be fixed. I was offered 30% off buying a new one from Shark! I paid 349 plus tax for a vacuum that only lasted a year with normal daily use in our home!!!! I have had Shark vacuums in the past, with no problems, so i stuck with Shark on the Robo Vac, and that was a big mistake to do so!!!! What a rip off!!!!! Now i am out a vacuum! Back to a broom and dust pan! It does not fail in a year nor cost almost$350!!!!!——————————-OLD review:I did not get the highest model, but being a lover of shark vacuums I did purchased the self cleaning vac mop model to see if i would like a robot vac.All I can say is WOW!!! We have 2 dogs whose job is to shed, 4 cats, a cocatoo, hubby and kids. The first picture is random run, the second was from after returing to dock to empty and then back to point it had stopped at to finish. The 3rd is from a whole house programmed run. 4 rooms, 1 bath and hallway. The last one the pad from cleaning one room with the mop function. That blew my mind, it is not a frequently used room and had been washed a couple days before.Using a broom or cordless stick vac(not Shark, was a bad girl, i can say it will soon be replaced with a Shark version, no more straying from Shark)it looked like i could make a toupee daily!!! This robot vacuum 3 toupees in one cleaning! This was on normal mode, may try matrix next time and see what she finds!!!Love how she mapped the rooms, it was very accurate and let’s you know the size of the rooms, and also the size of cleaning it does. It was very impressive!!!The mop feature worked great too. I have no complaints, no streaks, dried quickly and was not sticky. My goal is to get the shark robot vacuum wet/dry model that auto fills cleaning fluid too. I can not believe how much crud it finds and how clean the floors are.I do have some furniture it can not go under, but it does get under enough to help control dust bunnies, especially if able to go around the full piece of furniture. I will see if this helps lessen dusting since the floors are so much cleaner. It really is not that loud when it empties itself. Very quiet when working. I love that she can be programmed her to sweep the whole house and she does at 0300 daily. Off she went with no prompts. Could not be easier!!! She loves working nights! HA HA.I am not technically savy, so it took me a couple minutes to figure out the app. But, once I did, a piece of cake to set her up!Now to see if she does hold 60 days of this crews fur and dirt!!! I have confidence in Shark, that it will!!!If your home has two levels you would need 2, I have one room that has a step down into, I just place her in the room, push clean and off she goes.I am impressed that my floors do not look like they need to be swept again a few hours afterwards. I do not have carpet, but i do have a dog rug that absorbs all with shag pile under their food and water bowls, and she goes right over it! Its time to put the one down by the front door like that one, and I am pretty sure she will not have a problem with it.I am very happy that “Rosy” loves to keep my floors clean!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: The media could not be loaded. I did a ton of research before buying a robo vac. This is perfect and I can’t understand how or why any additional technology would be needed or why I’d want to pay more for it. This vacuum gets the house so clean and the self empty is absolutely necessary so you don’t have to worry about it not getting a full cleaning in because it gets too full. It just goes to the base, empties itself and then goes back to its last location. My biggest concerns in buying one of these were a vacuum that constantly got stuck on things and a vacuum that missed cleaning areas if furniture was in a slightly different location. This vac is fantastic, cleans every inch of my home, transitions from hardwood to carpet with no problems and I’m amazed at the areas it fits itself into so it can clean. It gets under my dish washer and fridge, transitions on and off my marble near the fireplace and handles our welcome mats without issue. It also seems to have a certain level of intelligence where it has gotten more confident in certain areas of my home. Set up and mapping was so simple. Another cool feature is that you can update your map at any time to add different rooms or change dimensions. For example I have an open kitchen/family room. At first I labeled that area as 1 room. I then edited and created 2 rooms so that I can select just one of those areas if I want to get an individual area cleaned at any given time.Let me address some of the negatives I read in reviews. Noise- not too noisy, when emptying it’s a little loud for about 6 seconds, no big deal. Battery life- no problem for me. I can spot clean any time I want. I have it scheduled to do a full clean at 12:00am every night. As a result it doesn’t matter if it stops to charge in between cleanings. App limitations- not a problem for me, I prefer the simplicity. You can on demand have it clean one room or multiple rooms with the touch of a button. You can have it spot clean an area by touching the area on the map. Scheduled cleaning- only lets you schedule all rooms, you can’t schedule just 1 room. Not a problem. I select rooms as needed throughout the day, for example if kids were messy at lunch I select kitchen. But I like that it cleans my entire first floor every night. Also while it’s cleaning you can alternate the power which is nice. Bin storage- some people say it won’t last 45 days, I’m not gross enough to let it sit for 45 days. But there is more than enough space to not worry about it overfilling if I’m on vacation for a while. Otherwise we tend to empty it every couple days because we love seeing how much dirt it collected lol.In review, this is the best product at the best value. Anything more expensive isn’t needed because this gets the job done (amazing cleaning without getting stuck on things). Anything cheaper I wouldn’t have confidence in cleaning power/navigating. I rarely leave Amazon reviews but based on all the research I did I felt I should pass this info along to all of you.
Customer Review: I’m very pleased with this robot vacuum. I’ve had 2 others which I bought used and they were adequate, but I wanted one that would map my house and I could have it clean specific rooms when needed. The app was surprisingly easy to set up and use for mapping, and is great for specifying areas to be cleaned. Most importantly, it does a very good job cleaning. I’ve used it several times, and it hasn’t gotten lost or stuck at all. I like that it empties itself when it’s done, so I really don’t have to give it a second thought when using, just tell it to start and leave it alone.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I’ve had this robot for a few months now and it’s been a solid performer on my hardwood floors. The suction is strong, and it picks up everything from dust to cat hair. I love that it empties itself—I only have to touch the base every couple of months. It navigates well around furniture and doesn’t get stuck on thresholds. The app is straightforward, and scheduling is easy. One downside is that it can be a bit loud when emptying, but it’s over quickly. Overall, it’s reduced my cleaning time significantly.
Customer Review: This vacuum is a workhorse. I run it daily on my hardwood and tile floors, and it keeps everything tidy. The NeverStuck feature really works—it goes over small obstacles without issue. The self-empty base is a game-changer; I forget about it for weeks. However, I wish it had a mopping option since I have a lot of hardwood. For pure vacuuming, it’s top-notch. Sometimes it misses fine dust in corners, but a quick manual sweep handles that. Worth the investment for hands-free cleaning.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Great cleaning robot. Best used when you’re away from the house, the sounds can be quite loud. Needs the app if you want the the fancy features. There seems to be sales on this product all the time, do not drop more than $700 on this. The vacuum needs about an hour to map out your house. Once done, you can send off the robot to vacuum & mop the whole house, or just small areas/rooms. It does spot cleaning as well though I feel like it’s slower than getting an actual vacuum. You can customize the map with rooms or let it pick room lines for you.For some reason the vacuum AND mop feature where the vacuum does both in a row is full house only. If you want to vacuum and mop just one room, you have to baby sit the robot and wait for the vacuum to finish before telling it to mop.Once it’s done, it will give you a map report of areas cleaned and not cleaned. It seems to be accurate for what it is.The robot only got stuck once and that’s because the brush got tangled up on a corner of thick carpet. Finding OEM parts outside of sharks website seems to be impossible.
Customer Review: This is my second order of this model because the first one failed to pump the cleaning water out completely so I exchange it for another one and the replacement has been been great. The mopping is amazing and the floors look shiny clean. The vacuum is powerful and never seems misses a spot if dirt. I really like the idea that I can watch the robot icon on the apps map as it moves around the house. I have it set up with Alexa so I can have it to clean any particular room by voice. I’ve owned at least six other different brands of robotic vacuums in the past and this is the the best by far.

Obstacles are easily navigated and the vacuum never gets tangled or snagged. The mopping function is easy to install. 2 mopping pads are included with the vacuum. This is a powerful and efficient vacuum, empties itself after every use. Battery life is good, but because of it’s efficiency, cleans my area in less than an hour. Additionally, the vacuum becomes a nice vehicle for cat to ride! This is an amazingly effective vacuum and a good value for it’s price. I’m very happy with this purchase and would recommend this product.
Customer Review: I’ve been using the Uninell UR3 for over a week. After experiencing it, I’m very impressed and amazed by the following results:1. The robot intelligently navigates and operates according to saved maps. It stores up to 5 maps.2. It has a powerful suction of 7000Pa and a brush speed of 20,000 RPM. The robot will automatically increase carpet suction by up to 200% for deeper cleaning.3. The large battery capacity allows for continuous operation and automatic charging.4. Especially noteworthy is its quiet operation; if a problem occurs during operation, the robot will automatically shut off to protect the machine from damage.I feel very confident and secure when I go to work; it works diligently according to schedule (I can see it working through the security camera). When I return home, the floors are always clean.I recommend this to anyone considering buying a quality robot vacuum cleaner; it’s a reliable and reasonable option in the under $300 price range. It won’t disappoint.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: The media could not be loaded. I bought this vacuum during this year’s Prime Day because I wanted to replace another brand that just wasn’t doing the job picking up my German Shepherd’s dog hair. I was constantly having to stop the other unit and pull hair out. After looking at online reviews on this one and another popular one and really reading the reviews, especially ones about dog hair I chose to purchase this one. So far I LOVE this one. I have all hard surfaces (wood and tile) in my house and it cleans both really well and here’s why. First, the roller on it isn’t a “brush” roller, it’s simpler and hair doesn’t get tangled up in it. When I first set up the vacuum it mapped my house and afterward, I was able to set up zones or rooms so I could select specific areas to vacuum such as high traffic areas, etc. After it mapped the house I could see the “map” of the house and it was pretty accurate. Then my vac started cleaning and I could even select the level of clean I want also. But wait, there’s more! Lol I have the app on my phone so I can select clean, ultra clean, eco/normal/max. I have it on ultra clean. So here’s the great part, my last vac was “random” whereas this one literally goes row by row to vacuum and it also does the edges. I have included a video so you can see what I’m talking about. Then my vacuum, aptly named “Hair Destroyer” will take itself home and the base will literally suck all the hair/dirt out into the basin storage and my vacuum goes back out on its’ merry way to keep on cleaning! YASSSS The unit recharges nicely, is easy to make schedules (I have mine on Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat) and I haven’t seen the hair on the floor. It is also cleaning smaller rugs by the doors well. The clearance height on it is a little higher (about 4 1/2 inches high) but it still goes under the couches and most other furnishings I have. I still have a dust mop for areas around plants in the corners, etc that are not wide enough for it to fit through – hey this thing isn’t perfect but it’s close. Next, you’ll want to know that with as much dog hair that this thing picks up I empty it every 2nd day it runs to keep the bin in the base clean. Some people said it filled up quickly, well mine did the 1st couple of times also because of the amount of hair it picked up.This unit is not loud, it’s quieter than my last one. I read reviews that said it was loud but it isn’t. It plays a sound when it’s going home to empty and then it plays a different sound when it’s going back out. Neither bother me. Be sure to let it map the house, you’ll be glad you did. Be sure to register it. I had one issue of it not getting the charge but I think it was user error and when I called customer service (CS) they were helpful and it was back to doing what it’s supposed to do. The preliminary steps the CS rep used to determine what was wrong were in my opinion elementary, items I had already done but the customer service rep said it was required. Overall, I really wanted to write this review because I really love this unit. If any negative issues occur I’ll update my review of course!
Customer Review: This Shark Robovacuum is great. We’ve had it in use for about 2 weeks. It vacuums half of my home (living room, kitchen, spare room and a bathroom) every night because of our 2 dogs and 3 cats. Make sure you find the little edge brush, its tucked into a corner of the packing material. I was happy to find out that it will eventually climb over my threshold between my living room and kitchen with is pretty tall (for a threshold) due to my kitchen floor being decorative stone. The Shark Robovac is a little loud when doing its job, but not horribly loud. When it backs into its docking station, the vacuum that sucks out the robovacs onboard dustbin is pretty loud…kind of like a shop vacuum. Its only on for a few seconds. Overall, I’m impressed with its cleaning ability. Its nice waking up eveymorning to clean floors. The other half of the house is a step down, so my wife has those rooms mapped out separately and has to put the robovac on that level to clean rooms individually. So far so good.
Complete Buying Guide for Best Shark Robot Vacuum For Hardwood Floors
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing a Shark robot vacuum for hardwood, focus on suction power that’s gentle yet effective, navigation accuracy to avoid scratches, and whether you need mopping. Self-empty bases add convenience, especially for pet hair. Look for models with rubber wheels or soft rollers to protect finishes. Battery life matters for larger spaces, and app control allows customization for different rooms.
Budget Planning
Shark robot vacuums range from $200 to over $700. For basic vacuuming on hardwood, the Navigator series around $300 offers great value. If you want mopping, expect $400-$600. The 7000Pa model provides high suction at a lower cost. Factor in long-term savings from reusable dust bins versus bag replacements. Set a budget based on must-have features like self-emptying or mopping.
Final Thoughts
Hardwood floors need a robot vacuum that’s powerful yet careful. Shark’s lineup covers all bases, from budget-friendly to premium combos. Consider your home’s layout, pet situation, and whether mopping is essential. The PowerDetect and Matrix series excel in navigation and suction, while the Navigator models offer simplicity and cost savings. Read reviews for real-world performance on similar floors.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are Shark robot vacuums safe for hardwood floors?
A: Yes, most Shark models have soft rubber wheels and gentle suction settings that won’t scratch hardwood. Always ensure the vacuum is clean and brushes are intact to avoid debris scratches.
Q: How often should I run a robot vacuum on hardwood?
A: For busy homes with pets or high traffic, daily cleaning is ideal. Shark’s self-empty bases allow for frequent runs without constant maintenance. Adjust based on your floor’s dirt accumulation.
Q: Do Shark robot vacuums work well with pet hair on hardwood?
A: Absolutely. Models like the AI Ultra and PowerDetect have anti-hair wrap technology and strong suction specifically designed to tackle pet hair on all surfaces, including hardwood.
Q: Is mopping necessary for hardwood floors?
A: Mopping helps with sticky spills and fine dust that vacuuming might miss. Shark’s mopping combos use sonic or heated pads for light cleaning, but deep cleaning still requires manual mopping occasionally.
Q: How long do self-empty bases last before needing emptying?
A: Depending on the model, Shark’s self-empty bases hold 30 to 90 days of debris. Homes with pets may need more frequent emptying, but the larger 60 or 90-day bases reduce hassle significantly.
