We have had the Shark Navigator for so years or so. It is still running fine but we moved it upstairs to not have to be carrying one u and down to clean. The new one is better than the basic model we had. It has unbelievable suction and clean wonderfully. It is a bit harder to move and is a bit noisier. Perhaps because it is so new and needs to break in. I think the noise is from the self cleaning on the roller. However with two dogs and long haired women it is worth it. Highly recommend. I have had Dyson, Kirby, Electrolux and Sears over the years and NONE of them come close.

WOW!! I had a Shark Navigator Lift-a-way, and after 15 years of faithful service, the hose tore and duct tape didnt work. After reading the reviews here on Amazon, I tried to find it in a store. But NONE. I pulled the trigger and ordered it earlier this week. Today, it came and I put it together. My carpet was ready for a good vacuuming. This Shark is AMAZING. SUPER STRONG SUCTION. I had to back the suction off a bit (easy to access, just like the old Shark. PERFECT! I used it on my carpeted steps. Perfect! The attachment for steps is not motorized and actually does a better job than the old Shark. (It had a motorized attachment not unlike the full-sized carpet sweeper) Now I wont hate doing steps!!! I used it on my smooth kitchen floor….works great. GREAT VACUUM!! The price is right. Everything I saw at Kohls, Walmart, were either way low-quality or too high of price. Glad to be able to post a positive review on this. I was worried to never find another vacuum as good as my old Shark. Hope this helps you make a decision. 🙂

Warning, it’s a long read, but I wanted to go into deep detail.To start, I have been a Rainbow vacuum user for so long. I love them and felt they worked amazingly.Next, I have 3 dogs & a cat. One is a thick coat lab and the cat sheds so much as well.Another next, I have horrible allergies and wanted something that would help keep them calm as well. I also have a lung disease and need something that will pick up as much junk as possible to keep them clear.Now, on to the Shark vacuum.I got tired of lugging around the Rainbow and wanted to look into a vacuum that my daughter could use and help out.I found this Shark vacuum and 6 others that grabbed my attention.I dug deep. I read through every review, good, bad, indifferent.I wanted a vacuum that was going to truly pick up pet hair/dander, as well as pick up sand & dirt.I was drawn to this specific vacuum saying pet & allergen vacuum and loved that so many of the reviews said it had amazing suction power.I thought there’s no way ut can be as amazing as most were raving about.After 2 months of digging and narrowing down vacuums, I was left with this one. I finally decided to purchase it and see what all the fuss was about.It came in today and I immediately out it together to the it out.I had just vacuumed with my Rainbow vacuum 2 days before, so I didn’t expect much.Oh….my….gosh…! I am blown away! Seriously, no joke!The picture you see attached was after 2 passes over a 2′ x 2′ area in my living room. Not kidding…pushed it forward, pulled it back. Did this one other time. I was completely astonished! There is no way my carpet is that dirty after using my Rainbow 2 days before! I swore by that vacuum and how great of a job it did, so I thought.This vacuum pulled out dirt, sand, pet fur from 3 families ago, it seems lol.I immediately took this picture and dumped the resivoir since it was full.I was excited to finish the rest of my living room and then move on to the rest of the house.It took me 30 minutes to vacuum my living room because I had to keep stopping to empty the reservoir. I am grossed out that it was that dirty, but so grateful that I purchased this Shark vacuum.The vacuum is super easy to put together. It’s not heavy and is easy to use.I love that it has the large vacuum and the option to break it down to a hand held vacuum to get baseboards and hard to reach areas.I also love that the power switch has 3 positions; Off, Bare floor, and carpet.I love that there is a place on the vacuum for hose attachments.I love that the power cable is quite long.I love that it’s compact enough to fit in my coat closet, but large enough to vacuum the living room quicker than the sport vacuum. It makes vacuuming a breeze.The price is amazing for being a Shark vacuum.This vacuum is so amazing that I finished vacuuming, rinsed the resivoir and filter, put it away, and immediately sat down to write this review.Seriously give this vacuum a try!Your only regret is that you didn’t get it sooner.I will update this review if anything changes.I am convinced this is the perfect vacuum.

I have been a Dyson monster owner for many years. This shark does better on several fronts. It is more maneuverable and has a lower profile front head so you can reach under cabinets to baseboards which the monster simply would not do. I realize Dyson has probably upgraded in this area I am comparing to an older model because that is what I have. Suction on the shark is awesome beats out the Dyson although again my Dyson is older and maybe a bit leakier in the seals. Biggest thing on this Shark which really is a game changer for me is the ability to pick up the vacuum with the handle and then vacuum using the wand in other hand ( this is shown on the box package) and really makes cleaning stairs so much easier. I have a flight of wood stairs. it was always a thrash with a Dyson because I would have to leave the base and use the long hose and wand which was always annoying to manage. this shark you can carry along with you and just vacuum as you go cuts the time and headache on stairs considerably and in fact with old Dyson I usually often would just skip doing the stairs and let them get dirtier and dirtier so much was it annoying. This is a seamless move from vacuuming the floor to lifting off the wand and walking up the stairs and vacuuming. Can also change attachments on the fly while vacuuming in carry mode. I will say the weight and balance of this vacuum when using on the floor is a bit heavier as other users have mentioned but unless you were doing a lot of vacuuming on a very large space or have strength issues this not an issue. I like the clasps that hook on the dust container on this vacuum the dysons were always a bit perilous if you pushed one wrong button you could dump the thing open when transporting it. Also I never felt super comfortable lifting the vacuum using the handle on my Dyson because it felt like you could rip the dustbin off if not careful (outward pull). This feels more secure. Durability remains to be seen as I’ve had Dyson about 10 years so that is a plus although have replaced a few parts along way… Hoses especially. One thing I don’t like as much about the is when I empty the shark the dust container has some tubes/structure in which debris tends to get hung up on when I empty. Have to mess with it a bit more to fully dump. the Dyson it was easy to just open and dump the whole thing out one shot. Overall awesome value great features. Unless it dies real early… I’m a fan

The vacuum is just like the other Sharks I have had. Great suction, filtration and ease of use.I love the hand roller tool, it works great on my cat trees! Also the other tools work well.The only downfall is the cord is much shorter than my last Shark.My last Shark is still working, but it has been used a lot.Excellent quality, I have no doubt it will last for years.I would buy this again.Only my 3rd Shark because they last while getting put through the test at our house.Its been 30 years of using them.This one is powerful and picks up all the dirt and pet hair. Nice size dirt bin too.

It works great! It’s easy to use and easy to clean. I like that it swivels and gets to places my old vacuum couldn’t. The lift away feature allows easy cleaning of couches, and it gets the tight spots with the attachments. It’s great at picking up dog hair. I never realized my previous vacuum left so much dirt! There is less dust thanks to the HEPA filter. That was a must have.

Excellent vacuum. Powerful suction and lightweight, easy to maneuver, design. I like the larger tank which affords longer use without need of emptying as frequently. The lift away is great for blinds, curtains, overhead vents, et al. Another great feature is the three position power switch: 1) off, 2) on/suction only, and 3) on/suction and brush. The suction only is particularly useful if you are vacuuming an uncarpeted hardwood, or tile floor.I’ve been hard on vacuums in the past and gone through some highly rated models but I feel like this Shark model might actually go the distance.

This is a long one, but it’s worth the read if you’re doing some serious shopping for a vacuum cleaner:I picked this up in October so I’ve been using it for a few months just to get a genuine sense of how this vacuum really performed and I am absolutely impressed! This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. ( If you’re wondering why I own so many vacuums, I clean for a living.) I bought this for the house. I have two cats and a husband who’s into Warhammer so you know there are sprew bits and cat hair everywhere and this thing handles it like a champ! I wasn’t sold on how small the floor attachment was until I used it: I can get underneath my barstools so much easier now and my entire house ( approx. 2000 sq ft.) is done in 20 minutes, tops! There is a learning curve, but that’s something you get with any new vacuum. I was also super impressed by the ease with which I can switch from floor to handheld attachments. Some of these other vacuums I’ve used are so bulky and difficult to handle all the small attachments… Not this one! I’m able to switch back and forth from floor to handheld quick, fast and in a hurry. Bonus points that it’s lightweight. I’m not killing myself just to vacuum my house. It’s really saved my back! And it was so much less expensive than the Dyson or the Kirby. The window on the floor attachment gives me a clear view of the roller brush ( yeah, it makes me accountable which is a good thing. It’s harder to ignore when I can see it so thanks for that, too. ). The cord is a tad short, so I went ahead a bought a small extension cord to go with it, but other than that, I’m very impressed! I wish I had bought this years ago. I will never buy another vacuum from anyone else other than Shark again. Good job, guys! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious little vacuum.

I didn’t realize you were supposed to replace your vacuum filters as I’ve always just washed them. My 5 year old shark navigator filter kept popping out so I did some research and found it you should replace them every year or so. These fit perfect and my vacuum runs as good as new again. Look to be good quality and I’m sure they will last after several washings.

This takes so much dirt out of my carpets I was floored (pun intended ;P ) I have mostly wood floor but the bedrooms are carpet and this vacuum has great suction. Only annoyance is it falls over when you use the hand tool and pull to far but that it a normal shark thing with all their standup vacuums. It is light weight and easy to dump.

This is our Second Shark Navigator Lift-Away ADV, first one gave us about 7 years of faithful service and it worked like a Champ till its last day. It does not loose suction power over the years. It is not expensive and this thing makes vacuuming fun lol. After trying the new one since our old baby had to be retired, Boy I have to say they have made some improvements. On Barefloor, it works amazing but even more amazing now as rollers seem to do some of the help besides the suction to get dirt and pet hair on hard floors beautifully.On Carpets, my Gosh it’s a Beast! You don’t have to force this thing, just ride it and enjoy cleaning your house. It sucks some much crap out of the carpets it’s unbelievable how much dust and stuff hides in what seems to be clear carpets!Enjoy Vacuuming with this beauty!

Afier 6 months, changing to 5 stars from 4. This one replaced a mini cleaner from the “D” company, that fell apart after 15 years. (We bought a new one but they are inferior quality now and too big for me.) My review is geared toward older adults with physical issues, either short or long term. I’m older (60’s) and sufferedthe long Pandemic-19 illness after a family member visited and this person and adult daughter took mum to a packed weekend buffet; mum got ill, then passed to me. Physically, I was left weak after it settled in my joints, with back ache after smallest chores for over a year, so I needed a light-weight vacuumas exertion left me with DOMS. This was on a very good price (1/2 of now), easy to assemble, good alternative to the old vac. It’s light enough that I don’t have to recover for days after using it, but sturdy enough that I think it will last. This Shark works, though I wish thehead part of it fit better under my couch, but it’s easy to change to the wand. Will never go back to the awful, expensive “D” cleaners, especially for the company that claims to have they’ve “got just what I need.” So glad I found this vac here. After owning and using for 6 months, I’m adding another star. It’s easy to set up, easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store, and really works well. The vac has a max and min setting. I didn’t realize and was happy using the min setting. After switching it on max though, it blew my old cleaner away off the face of the earth. I’m so happy to have a solid machine that I can handle.

These are not the original size. They are smaller, but for an older person to use, they are perfect. They have a few adapters so, shouldn’t have issues with fitting up to original size hose. Would recommend these.

These did not fit my Shark navigator Lift-Away. That is largely my fault because I didn’t feel like going upstairs to stand on my head to try to read the model number. I foolishly relied on the model name and the shape in the photo. This filter set looks the same as what I needed, but it is much larger than will fit in my vacuum. Again, this isn’t the product’s fault. I got a refund and made sure to take a photo of the model number of my vacuum. Just posting this to encourage others to make sure they use the right model number and not just the model name. I subtracted one star because why give the same model name to different sized products?!!!

The filters fit my Shark NV355. They look and fit exactly like my original Shark filters. I’m having an asthma flare-up and I need filters that will collect as much dirt and dust as possible. Very happy with my purchase.

I’ve really peculiar about changing my filter in my vacuum often so I’ve bought these numerous times and they’re worth every penny for the quality and quantity you can’t beat the price !
