Customer Review: I bought it as a replacement for the small shop vac I use for my car. Black carpet shows every spec of dust/ dirt/ grass etc. (Would not recommend) this little vacuum gets it clean. It came with 3 tube sections and a very reasonable length hose. It also has an assortment of nozzles for crevices and rugs. So far, it has worked for everything I’ve used it on. The wheels glide smoothly as it follows me around, but not very far because the cord isn’t very long- I’m not taking any stars off for that because the carpet in my car looks pretty great.Seems well made. Would buy again, but probably won’t have to for a long time.

Customer Review: I almost did NOT buy this vacuum because in the spec’s it was rated at 4 HP. One HP is 746 Watts. So 4 HP is a tad shy of 3000 Watts. That would pull about 25 Amps of current from a household circuit. That was way more than I wanted to pull in my shop where I have other lights, machines and computers on the same circuit. I made an educated guess/bet that someone somewhere made a mistake in listing this as 4 HP. So I bought it anyway because everything else about it looked good.When it arrived, I set it up and put it on my Kill A Watt meter, and lo, much to my relief it pulls only 790 Watts (see photo). So I can use this in my shop when other things are on as well.Does it work? Oh yes. It is great. It has considerably more suction than the little plastic vac I bought at the big orange chain store (which I did kind of like for its small size and general utility, but which never seemed to last more than a year or two of moderate use before the bearings would wear out). The hose on this machine is larger diameter (which means less resistance to the airflow along the way) and nicely flexible and even rotates in the fitting on the vacuum body so that it is easy to change the orientation of the working end. It also blows air out the exhaust very well when you want to plug the hose into that end and use it as a leaf blower or car drier. I was skeptical about whether I would enjoy having casters on it, but they don’t take up a lot of extra room and it is kind of nice that this will follow you around easily as you vacuum a shop or you car. It comes with a useful assortment of tool end fittings. Overall: perfect moderate size (not too big or too small), economical price, excellent suction and blowing power, sturdy enough build, good hose and tool attachments, and luckily it doesn’t draw so much power that you’ll be blowing circuit breakers!

Customer Review: I’m not too experienced with this type of vacuum but so far I like it. Using it on high for a deeper clean wears down the battery faster. Obviously that is expected. I love not worrying about a cord. Easy empty container. It picked up dust and pet hair that I didn’t see. This is a lot lighter than a conventional vacuum cleaner. It’s a very good starter stick vacuum and has a good price as well.

Customer Review: The media could not be loaded. I bought this to attach to my husbands shop sweeper and get the finner dust off the shop floor. It’s an amazing addition (see picture & video). I find myself detaching it for seperate use and keeping in the back of the SUV for the kids and dogs. So easy to get up the errant cheerios and goldfish, not to mention the accumulation of dog hair on the weathertech mats. Customer Review: Is this as powerful as the big shop vac in my shop? Well, not remotely so. But being able to run on a battery is a huge plus. If I want to clean out the inside of my car or boat, this is the perfect tool. And being able to use it as a blower can sometimes be nice too. It is easy to drop the tank to empty it, though if it was full of water, be careful. Finally, it was pretty quiet. From 3 feet away, I measured 66-73 Db, depending on where I was standing, around 70 on average. Looking directly at the blower port might be the highest volume, but that would be expected. Finally, I did listen to the volume when run on the cord versus a battery. It seemed to be slightly more throaty on the cord, but not by a lot. I could probably rig up a way to compare the two power choices.

Customer Review: This thing is awesome. I would say it’s slightly less powerful than a corded shop vac, but way more convenient. The only thing this hasn’t been able to consistently pick up is small nails. When it does they sometimes get stuck sideways in the hose so I probably shouldn’t vacuum them anyway. I was a little leery about the smaller size but it hasn’t been an issue at all. My only beef with it is my beef with all wet/dry vacs, the filters get full of saw dust or whatever particulate matter is floating around and then you lose suction. This is where the vac being small comes in handy. My old corded shop vac never got more than 1/4 or so full before the filter clogged up. There was no point in taking it apart to clean the filter and then not emptying the thing, so the extra space didn’t really matter. Depending on how much dust is around this thing gets 1/2 to 2/3 full before the filter needs to be cleared out. So the size is just right.Being able to carry it around without a cord is huge though. I use it on my car and around whatever job I’m working on. I can easily carry it around with one hand and it makes light work out of cleaning up. I wouldn’t mind having a longer hose or a few other attachments for it, but I’m overall very pleased and would recommend in a heartbeat. I’m using a 60v 6ah flexvolt battery, but the battery life has also been very good from my experience. I also appreciate that it has a cord too. I have a few batteries so I only needed the cord the first day I got it before my batteries arrived. But I’m glad that in many years when dewalt changes up their batteries this will still be a useful tool.

I have been wanting a smaller wet-dry cordless vacuum for a while, but the lack of usage does not justified getting a pricier one. I used it on the same day it arrived, and was very pleased with it. It’s super light, has great suction and the attachments get it done. Hose is connected to the body and it stores without kinks. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone that just needs it for small jobs and, or limited usage. Customer Review: It’s handy and lightweight, made my life easier. Let me explain. I have a 4 foot crawl space under my house, the crawl space is encapsulated meaning it’s insulated with white vinyl and a very clean space. We keep it sprayed for insects but of course you cannot keep them out plus when you store items there you track in dirt. For 3 years now I have dragged an extension cord and large wet/dry vac around the space. I’m tired of doing that so I purchased this portable battery operated vac. I have a 5 amp and a 4 amp battery. I had to change the battery once to finish. Total job took about 35 minutes. As far as how it’s going to hold up over the long term, it’s a wait and see. But even if it fails I will purchase another portable. Probably this one as the price is right!

Customer Review: Another hit from dewalt.I bought the little lunchbox shaped 20v shop vac about a year ago. It was a bit of a disappointment. Its found its role around the house but it was definitely not what I was looking for.I was reluctant to purchase another dewalt 20v vac but saw this at a really cheap price.Home run. It absolutely will not replace your plug in shop vac, but is an amazing little sucker all the same. My wife and kid grab this so often its more of a home device than a shop vac. Its super light with lots of attachments and makes little jobs like cleaning lamp shades or fan blades a breeze.That said, it still has enough power to keep a light duty jobsite cleaned up. Will it be a dust extraction system? Absolutely not. It will however keep sawdust, drywall dust, and general messes from growing out of hand. Had it less than a year now and out of 20+ dewalt products this is quickly becoming one of the most used.

Customer Review: I have a Aerus Lux upright that is a fantastic vacuum. Unfortunately, it weighs a ton and you have to haul an accessory caddy along with it. It is a pain to haul it out for that little job. I am always struggling to get ceilings and corners because I have to constantly move and reposition the vacuum to clean. Then there is the fear of pulling it over trying to reach a corner. My parents and brother have been using battery powered vacuums for a while and they love them. My concern was the batteries. I didn’t want to trash the unit if the battery went bad nor did I want to have to hunt down and buy a replacement battery that costs as much as the unit itself. I thought it would be great if the unit used the Dewalt batteries I had for a drill I got as a Christmas present and here it is.This vacuum is great. It it extremely high quality and very durable. It’s light and portable. It’s always ready to go for that little job. It makes cleaning ceilings and corners a breeze. It has excellent suction for it’s size. As I mentioned, it uses a standardized battery pack that is easy to find and can be used for other things. It also has a bright LED to illuminate what you are cleaning. The included accessories let’s you do almost anything with the exception of carpets. This is either a plus or minus as units like these do only a basic job at vacuuming carpets when they can, while heavily diminishing battery life using a powered carpet attachment. All in all, it is definitely great for around the house and it is just what I was looking for.The drawback to this vacuum is that it is optimized for shop use. It lacks the ability for powered attachments if that is a must have. It also lacks a flashy status panel that lets you see the battery life and adjust the suction to maximize battery life. Fortunately, the batteries do have status lights built into them. The unit also does not come with a battery or charger which adds to the overall cost to getting started, unless you already have them, which may put some people off because they are not cheap.The battery life is highly dependent on the batteries you have. My 1.5Ah batteries last under 10 minutes. The 5Ah batteries supposedly last over 20 minutes. I just purchased one on sale and I would say that is accurate. There are also much larger batteries available.This vacuum is definitely one to take a look at. It’s light, powerful and extremely well built. It uses easy to find DeWalt batteries. Definitely a must have if you already have batteries and a charger.
