Customer Review: Bought this to replace our 10 year old Kenmore. We looked at a number of higher end models as replacements primarily Miele, Ricarr and Simplicity brands. This was after looking at our go-to of Costco where every vacuum was a swivel head and had a vast majority of parts and components made from plastic and super narrow cleaning heads and eclectic trendy color combinations, loaded with useless gizmos. We have friend in the U.K. who lives by the Dyson factory who warned us to never buy a Dyson despite how nifty they look. We have almost 3500 sq feet of carpet which I vacuum every other day, narrow plastic vacuum heads just won’t cut it. Trendy tools not needed, but good air filtration, HEPA filters and a metal bar at the front of the vacuum to prevent damage from sucking in harmful stuff was key. We don’t have pets so pet hair management is not a must. For some reason I’m not a fan of the swivel head styles because it puts the pressure of the vacuum head on your wrist when you maneuver the vacuum and with our amount of carpet that’s a problem. This vacuum was just perfect. Priced right, super long cord, wide brush (15 inches) and the upgraded never break band, and very quiet. It does have a removable wand for tight spaces or furniture and some basic tools- not sexy but functional. It’s bagged which helps with suction and air particulate management. It’s literally ready to go out of the box with no tools. This vacuum provides comparable cleaning and quality parts to the Ricarr and Simplicity at about half the price. Have had it for about 4 months and am very happy. Would highly recommend.

Customer Review: The 1,200 Watt motor truly provides best-in-class suction. In use it is lifting the carpet, and to me it really can provide single-pass vacuuming. That is really deep-cleaning the carpet. The vacuum is used for commercial use, and I mean 1.5 to 2 hours daily. So, go through a lot of their bags. Their AH10243 allergen bag traps everything, and doesn’t tear in the bag chamber unlike some cheaper made products. The HEPA filter snaps on along the side of the bag chamber and is easy to clean and change. There is this Hexagard carbon filter that mounts just inside before the HEPA filter, too, that is supposed to help reduce odor from the vacuum. What I really like is that Hoover made is super simple to remove the brushroller to clean it. No need to go hunting for a screwdriver and fear of losing screens. The original belt still looks new. Finally, there is a “hush” quiet mode which slows the motor and cuts the operating noise while vacuuming around people. It DOES reduce suction; however, it is a very thoughtful feature. Bag, belt, brush, filter changes are super easy. Tools onboard are easy to get to, and the hose is plenty long. If needing a longer hose that is what the cannister vacuum is for. The body seems build sturdy, too. So with that sturdiness and all those tools onboard, the penalty is weight. When tilted back there is more weight in hand (true of all these tools-onboard vacuums). And the generous 40 feet cord means you are carrying 20 Lbs. Luckily, there is a convenient carry handle built into the lower cord hook, and it does help a lot.Overall, a very thoughtfully designed vacuum that just keeps on working. The vacuum sucks up everything. Isn’t that what a good, solid vacuum is supposed to do? I guess that is why Hoover is a verb over in Britain where they say they are Hoovering their carpet.UPDATE: 7-15-25–still going strong. Broke a piece off something called the wand clip, but it has no effect on daily use. If you compare this to Windsor, Pro Team, and Sanitaire, this vacuum is a bargain to purchase and even more so with the maintenance. I only wish the handle weight in hand was slightly lighter.

The pick up speed is great. Noise level is normal. Sanitaire is a quality product used by commercial companies. The effectiveness is top tier. Always an amazing purchase.

Customer Review: First time buyer. The assembly took less than 5 minutes, my dog could assemble this vacuum. I was tired of buying $300+ Dyson vacuums that only lasted 2-3 years in a commercial application. These high-tech machines that do everything except last longer than 2-3 years. Something breaks, good luck finding a replacement part. They are just too complex for commercial applications. We have only been using our “simple” vacuum for a few weeks at our business. So far, here are our pro’s and con’s. The unit is very simple to assemble. Very simple design and replacement parts are inexpensive and can be replaced with minimal efforts. The performance is very good, has similar suction as a new Dyson. For our application, this vacuum is exactly what we wanted and the build quality and simplicity is very good considering the low price. Overall, for the length of time we have been using, I am extremely pleased. As far as cons, the only item we have noticed is that it may not be as good on hard flooring as it is on carpeting. The jury is still out on this. The majority of our offices are carpet, so not a big concern for us. I am interested to see how many years we get out of this vacuum before it needs replaced. So far, I am sold that simpler is better than the complex.

Customer Review: Great vacuum. Same model used in numerous commercial applications. Very sturdy and power cord is heavy duty. Most vacuums come with roller brushes, but the Sanitaire comes with brushes and a “beater bar” that smacks the carpet and allows the brushes a better chance of cleaning debris from carpet fiber. I use in my basement area that is half workshop (concrete floor) and half carpet. I constantly drag saw dust from the workshop side to the carpet side. This vacuum is the only type designed well enough to dislodge and vacuum up saw dust in the carpet. Does a great job no matter where you use it at. Granite you have to remove and manually empty the vacuum bag (I use a dust mask when doing so), but the vacuum never needs replacement paper bags.

Customer Review: PROS: This vacuum sucks. Hehe. In reality it seems very well built, metal handle and roller. The cable is thick and very long. It is probably the strongest vacuum I’ve used; I’ve used commercial vacuums in my work. Hopefully it doesn’t crap out. If you need something to clean carpet, this is it. Seems like it’s built to last.CONS It is heavy compared to it’s modern counterparts, taking it up and down stairs might be hard for some people. It won’t fit under a table or couch, no attachments or hoses for corners, but the suction is great. It’s pretty loud, so if you live in an apartment it’s probably best to use it during the day.

Customer Review: This is a long one, but it’s worth the read if you’re doing some serious shopping for a vacuum cleaner:I picked this up in October so I’ve been using it for a few months just to get a genuine sense of how this vacuum really performed and I am absolutely impressed! This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. ( If you’re wondering why I own so many vacuums, I clean for a living.) I bought this for the house. I have two cats and a husband who’s into Warhammer so you know there are sprew bits and cat hair everywhere and this thing handles it like a champ! I wasn’t sold on how small the floor attachment was until I used it: I can get underneath my barstools so much easier now and my entire house ( approx. 2000 sq ft.) is done in 20 minutes, tops! There is a learning curve, but that’s something you get with any new vacuum. I was also super impressed by the ease with which I can switch from floor to handheld attachments. Some of these other vacuums I’ve used are so bulky and difficult to handle all the small attachments… Not this one! I’m able to switch back and forth from floor to handheld quick, fast and in a hurry. Bonus points that it’s lightweight. I’m not killing myself just to vacuum my house. It’s really saved my back! And it was so much less expensive than the Dyson or the Kirby. The window on the floor attachment gives me a clear view of the roller brush ( yeah, it makes me accountable which is a good thing. It’s harder to ignore when I can see it so thanks for that, too. ). The cord is a tad short, so I went ahead a bought a small extension cord to go with it, but other than that, I’m very impressed! I wish I had bought this years ago. I will never buy another vacuum from anyone else other than Shark again. Good job, guys! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious little vacuum.

Customer Review: I actually was in the market for a new vacuum as there were parts breaking on my Bissell 2999. (Dust buildup inside the motor housing leading to bearing whine, brush roller wear that required modification to prevent additional damage, as well as handle damage that prevented the vacuum handle from staying locked in place and later being unable to be removed as it got jammed slightly at an angle.)Moving on, this is actually a step up, despite having got it at a substantially lower price (99 dollars verse the original Bissell 2999 price being around 200 dollars.) I wanted something that people praised for higher reliability, and this advertised a limited 5 year warranty. I got it, because 99 for a well reviewed vacuum was excellent in idea. I then looked at reviews all over the internet only to find out more and more that the Shark NV360 was way better than expected.My only caveats to date are that it has a smaller agitator head, and that it doesn’t come with a agitator attachment, you’d need to get the Pro version NV356E to get the agitator attachment. It does come with a smaller crevasse tool and a very functional upholstery tool that also worked very very well on the stairs.Suction on this vacuum is amazing. Especially compared to my Bissell 2999. I have Hoover and Bissell Vacuums, and the 2999 was better than my previous vacuums, but oddly not better than this current one from Shark, the NV360 just to keep things clear. The hose diameter is larger, and that typically means less pressure for most vacuums, however, that is not the case here. You really need to be careful when using the attachments as it will suck up a sock you may have got too close too and it’ll all be too fast to recover from anywhere other than the dust bin.Emptying the dustbin is more involved than my Bissell and Hoover vacuums, where a single button press allows you to pull the bin from its’ resting place. In the case of the Shark, you will need to undo two latches that secure the bin in place, but while I thought this would be a bigger problem it has not been. Installing the bin has been a bigger issue than removing it but the process is still really simple. The dual latch does offer the better seal though as it allows for more uniform pressure on the seal under neath and keeps the dust flowing down. It does seem that the foam prefilter would need more cleans than my Bissell 2999 required, but I found that dust released from the Bissell system would agitate my nose a touch, because allergies, while I have had zero incidents of that with the shark. (The Bissell 2999 was still the best I had before I got this NV360 for allergies I experienced, I just thought it was because it was kicking something up but dust patterns formed later in its’ life showing it was some dust leakage.)Moving this around is easier than the Bissell 2999 as well, but that is partially because the base is smaller. Both were swivel style vacuums but the NV360 does better on tighter turns than the Bissell. The smaller head seems to also focus more of the dust into the dust bin. Going over areas the Bissell seamed done with, I found that there was still a ton of dirt and dust embedded into the carpet even after 8 passes with the Bissell. I only knew there was more because even though I wasn’t getting anything more on the 8th pass with the Bissell, going over the same area with the NV360 showed there was still a lot of dust left in the carpet. The Bissell did get all the dog hair though and there was only dust and dirt that the shark was able to extract. (This also lead me to do a carpet clean though, as I have a Bissel carpet cleaner that I really like and I finished the job with that.)My lesson learned though is that even with a great vacuum like the Shark or my previous best Bissell, you may have to vacuum more often than every 3-4 days as that dirt just keeps getting deeper if you dont.Moving on, I am actually very impressed and absolutely can recommend this vacuum to anyone who needs something better. I absolutely can recommend it to anyone who has allergies like me as well. Best vacuum to date. Side note though, when researching vacuums, I did find that the Shark Stratos and Rotator options are more amazing when it comes to airflow and pressure as well as large objects and long hair, but they are between 200 and 300 dollars. For me this is the best option for now, especially seeing it was only 99 dollars when I got it.

Customer Review: What a beast! This sucked out so much that I had to empty the ample canister after each room upon first use. I did not realize that I had ordered a professional tool (this is Bissell’s pro-line) that can satisfy a cleaning company’s demands. It’s also lightweight and built ruggedly with a quality long cord. I’ve been using this for many, many months and have had no issues at all. This will probably last the rest of my life, therefor if I need something else that Sanitaire manufactures then I will probably purchase it immediately.

Customer Review: Basically this is an Oreck clone, at a much better price. Unlike most Oreck clones, it’s a copy of modern high power Orecks, not the old fashioned Classic Orecks that just pickup surface dirt.Our house has a good variety of flooring, flat commercial carpet in the hall, low pile in one bedroom, soft plush in another bedroom, medium pile in the last bedroom, medium-high in the living room, and loose laid sheet vinyl in the kitchen. The living room and soft plush in one bedroom can be problem carpets for some vacuums, stalling brushrolls and/or making a vacuum nearly impossible to push.The Vacmaster did well in every room, I used high speed on every carpet and it never stalled, wasn’t difficult to push, and the reverse chevron brushroll did a surprisingly good job digging out pet hair and dirt, and fluffing/grooming the carpets. The edge cleaning was adequate, but not amazing, I’ve seen better and I’ve seen worse. Low speed did well on the sheet vinyl. The squeegee kept anything from kicking back at my feet, and the pickup was good without the suction being high enough to “grab” the vinyl, which has been a problem in the past.It’s no Kirby, but it’s no old fashioned Classic Oreck either. Classic Orecks absolutely lock to our problem carpets, the Vacmaster practically glided over them. The grooming and pickup is impressive, especially for something so cheap and so lightweight. It’s not all roses, the plastics used are obviously on the cheaper side, the cord is cheap and stiff, and the headlight could be brighter, but for the price, those things aren’t really surprising.End of the day, it’s a lightweight, well performing, basic bagged upright, with no hose or attachments, at a bargain price. That’s a rarity these days. Add a Dustbuster or cheap canister vacuum for furniture and above floor cleaning, and you are set for years of easy quick easy cleaning.

Customer Review: Save the box and packaging until after you give it a go. Suction is great. Cord is long. Handle pops out of place and continuously pulls out, so no more vacuuming until you pop the joint back in and pop it into place. This is what you have to do the entire time you vacuum and my apt is 667 square feet. If it’s annoying for me it will be for you too. It has to be a design flaw or maybe a manufacturing flaw. Or maybe just luck of the draw. Anyway, my handle doesn’t fit in its connecting joint, so it’s going back.

Customer Review: I have the consumer/residential version of this cleaner that I have used for over a decade. It still works okay, but is getting worn. I’ve replaced the brush roller once and the drive belt a couple of times. I wanted a fresh replacement. Bissell no longer makes my old model, but this commercial version fit the bill. It’s designed similarly with an easy to use, and clean bagless container and filter system. I can use my spare belts on this one. It doesn’t have as many attachments as the consumer version, but some are still usable on this one, so I transferred some over. I have mixed thoughts on the power cord. The cord is a heavy duty commercial style cord that is longer than the consumer version. It is also removable. But it is bulkier and not as flexible as the slimmer ribbed style cord of the consumer unit. The cleaner works a little better and is quieter than my old unit. Although rated as a commercial unit, it seems lighter than my old one. It has proven itself so far and I hope it lasts for more than two decades. My old one is still in service in my second house. Recommended if you want a basic, good performing vacuum cleaner.

Customer Review: I’m a small business owner and I vacuum nightly. I have Bissell stick vacuums at home that I love for small messes and expected to be just as happy with their commercial product. It has a lot of appealing features: it’s designed so you can easily replace the cord, and the onboard tools are useful, and it actually is lightweight for a commercial vacuum.I’ve been using it for less than a month, and it started out meh and has gotten significantly worse. It’s just not powerful enough for commercial use. I’ve previously used an Oreck and a Hoover and this is significantly less effective than either of them at getting commercial carpeting clean. I find myself using the crevice tool to pick up dirt in the middle of the carpet that the roller brush should get. It has a washable filter, and of course that may be limiting the suction, but I really shouldn’t have to wash it this soon: I didn’t have this much reduction in performance this quickly with any of my previous machines.It also blows a really strong stream of air out in front of its path, which blows cards and stickers off of spin racks every time I go past them.
