Customer Review: Excellent vacuum. Powerful suction and lightweight, easy to maneuver, design. I like the larger tank which affords longer use without need of emptying as frequently. The lift away is great for blinds, curtains, overhead vents, et al. Another great feature is the three position power switch: 1) off, 2) on/suction only, and 3) on/suction and brush. The suction only is particularly useful if you are vacuuming an uncarpeted hardwood, or tile floor.I’ve been hard on vacuums in the past and gone through some highly rated models but I feel like this Shark model might actually go the distance.

Customer Review: This is a long one, but it’s worth the read if you’re doing some serious shopping for a vacuum cleaner:I picked this up in October so I’ve been using it for a few months just to get a genuine sense of how this vacuum really performed and I am absolutely impressed! This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. ( If you’re wondering why I own so many vacuums, I clean for a living.) I bought this for the house. I have two cats and a husband who’s into Warhammer so you know there are sprew bits and cat hair everywhere and this thing handles it like a champ! I wasn’t sold on how small the floor attachment was until I used it: I can get underneath my barstools so much easier now and my entire house ( approx. 2000 sq ft.) is done in 20 minutes, tops! There is a learning curve, but that’s something you get with any new vacuum. I was also super impressed by the ease with which I can switch from floor to handheld attachments. Some of these other vacuums I’ve used are so bulky and difficult to handle all the small attachments… Not this one! I’m able to switch back and forth from floor to handheld quick, fast and in a hurry. Bonus points that it’s lightweight. I’m not killing myself just to vacuum my house. It’s really saved my back! And it was so much less expensive than the Dyson or the Kirby. The window on the floor attachment gives me a clear view of the roller brush ( yeah, it makes me accountable which is a good thing. It’s harder to ignore when I can see it so thanks for that, too. ). The cord is a tad short, so I went ahead a bought a small extension cord to go with it, but other than that, I’m very impressed! I wish I had bought this years ago. I will never buy another vacuum from anyone else other than Shark again. Good job, guys! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious little vacuum.

Customer Review: I am where vacuums go to die. With 4 dogs and 5 cats, living on a mountain farm, I kill vacuums on a regular basis. I’ve managed to take out everything from an old Kirby to a new Dyson & everything in between. Even the ones designed for pet hair didn’t last long. Then I got a shark navigator. It was true love! It was like having a Catholic priest come in on a regular basis to perform an exorcism on my carpets. For years, me & my Shark performed miracles in my home, proclaiming from my mountain top… THIS HOUSE IS CLEAN! Then we moved. I allowed a stranger to take my beloved Shark and haul it 2600 miles. By the time it arrived, it was too late. I founded it shoved behind a pile of boxes, hidden by the movers until after they left. It was literally in pieces, it’s hoses and cords shredded and pulled from thier sockets. The handle snapped off at the neck, there was no chance of resurrection. I couldn’t imagine what kind of torture my poor loyal side kick had endured, and was in doubt I would ever know such admiration for a household appliance again.I started the quest for a new vacuum, of course I knew it would be impossible to find such perfection again. Each year the new models get cheaper in parts while more expensive in price. After days of exhaustive searching… thinking perhaps I could find a remanufactured version of my old pal, I gave up. The pup shredded anything he found tempting that had already been unpacked, including packing material. Little Styrofoam pieces and bits of a silk flower arrangement littered a bedroom floor. A calendar lying on top of a box would no longer adorn our wall. And fluffy bits of golden retriever dotted the carpet where he had rolled and played during his destructive frolic. I cleaned up what i could by hand and then instinctively reached in the closet for my Shark.It was not my dear, loyal soldier that heeded my call for assistance. No, there was a new soldier at the ready and it was time to see if it could handle the job. I plugged it in, and turned it on.The Shark came to life, illuminated with the power surging through it. With a light touch, the new machine moved as though floating over the floor, and followed my directions as though reading my mind. The shredded debris was instantly gone, nothing missed, no second pass needed. It was so efficient we were done before I knew it. I popped out the tank, emptied it and slipped it back in with ease. Customer Review: Great vacuum if you have pets! We have large dogs and went through two other vacuums from a competitor that struggled to keep suction and were much heavier and unwieldy. The Bissell 2252 is fairly lightweight by comparison but has a much wider suction and roller head which cuts down on vacuuming time. The see through cannister makes it very easy to tell when its time to empty and it is very simple to remove, empty, and replace on the main unit. Would highly recommend it if you have pets or just a very active home and need to keep your carpets and rugs clean!

This vacuum is a gift from heaven!We have struggled with long-hair dogs, long-hair cats, a chinchilla that throws her bedding and food outside her cage daily, terrible builder-grade quality carpet that mats really easily, making it difficult to get things properly vacuumed and cleaned.We have purchased expensive Dyson vacuums specifically for pets, expensive Shark vacuums specifically for pets, and an expensive Kirby, which honestly has been the best vacuum so far. Until this cheap Bissell.Not cheap quality… PHENOMENAL quality for a cheap price. Don’t bother spending $500 on a junky Dyson. This Bissell is a miracle worker.We were literally about to rip out our carpeting in the upstairs hallway because it was so matted with pet hair that just wouldn’t come out. We were going to just epoxy the plywood underneath because it would look better than the ratty carpet. But I thought I’d hunt one more time for a vacuum on Amazon.I read reviews raving about this vacuum that led me to buy it. And we are thrilled with this thing! My husband and I can’t stop vacuuming. And we watch each other vacuum so we can see this miracle in action.We had vacuumed our bedroom with the Kirby. Two days later, we vacuumed our bedroom with this Bissell. Filled up the canister before we even finished the room!! This pulled up years of embedded dirt, hair, whatever grossness every other vacuum failed to pick up. It left those beautiful vacuum lines in the carpeting for the first time in years! It actually picked up the carpet pile that was totally matted down. We emptied the canister and moved on.We finished the bedroom, then vacuumed that matted hair in the hallway, which this baby picked up with ease. Hubby and I gasped in wonderment. Then, we emptied the canister again and moved on.We vacuumed the bonus room, where the chinchilla makes her mess. But the vacuum is lightweight enough to carry it step by step to be able to vacuum the stairs. And it still reaches the full couch seats. That was another miracle! Our dogs like to sneak onto the couch when no one’s looking, so both long-hair clumps and short-hair bristles get embedded into the couch cushions. With a few swipes with the attachment, 2/3 of the couch filled up half the canister of dog hair!! It’s not just stationary attachment at the end of a hose… it’s a mini vacuuum!!I am telling you… this is the best vacuum ever. Customer Review: I currently have a dyson v10 animal that I got for my grandma and myself with our 2 cats. During long cleaning sessions the vaccume would run out of battery and my grandma’s dyson DC 14 is too old in age. I went with a shark Navigator didnt work with the cat hair. Went with another shark the shark lift away with power fins I liked the construction but didnt agitate our large area rug enough to dig into the pet hair. Then got a dyson animal ball 3 too heavy and too much suction for my grandma to push when she needed to vaccume. Ultimately set on this the bissell I love the stronger motor but what I love is the solid construction for the price ease of use and pet tools. I love the ability for me to provide maintenance on it without having to take it to a dedicated shop. Carpet agitation and ability to pick up cat hair is amazing. The suction on our hardwood floors could be better but this vacuum on rugs is absolutely amazing. The power in my opinion is kore then enough. I would recommend this product howver evyone has there personal preference.

Customer Review: For the price this is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned! It came neatly packaged. It was easy to put together. I’ve had it for 6 months now and the suction still works great! Love how it swivels in every direction possible so I can make tight turns at the last second! This is super light weight compared to Dyson! The pet hair remover is amazing and is very powerful! I use the attachments on the stairs all the time. Yes, you’ll need to use the hose for baseboards, but most vacuums are like that. My only complaint is the attachments fall off the vacuum while running it. Not sure how to fix that unless I remove them. Other than that, this vacuum works like a charm!

Customer Review: I am going to predict that this is going to be the best retail vacuum that money can buy. We had a Shark for 16 years and its still running. We had to replace the hoses and brushes on the old unit once during that time. When we bought the old unit it replaced our Eureka which was half as powerful as the Shark Navigator we bought. Fast forward to the Powerdetect and once again we are amazed at its abilities. Filtration is great, suction and brush power is fantastic and the addition of led lights and Infared detection of dirt in the carpet is amazing! Not to mention the large volume canister and cord length is a nice improvement from the Navigator. Touch sensors on the handle to change modes manually for the different floor types is really nice too. Users will probably like the sensor that detects when the unit is close to the baseboards and increases the suction power to pull the Debree from the base of the walls. we personally like the fragrance of the deodorizer but we are also concerned its probably artificially made and not healthy. The first time we used it we used the Infared dirt technology and it took some time for us to deep clean the carpet. Hopefully next time wont take as long to clean as we believe it was just 6 years of built up dust, dander, and pet hair missed by the old vacuum. Now the time trial begins. we hope that this unit lasts as long as the previous Shark we owned but we predict that the sensors will be the first part to fail just like they do in vehicles. Time will tell. Only gripe we could really make is that it is heavier than the Navigator and it does want to pull forward when its on but what can you expect when it has to have a larger motor for the awesome suction power. Holy smokes – there was a lot of lint and dust that this vacuum picks up that gets left behind with other vacuums. Very easy to push and feels sturdy. We’ve had other Shark vacs before but this is my fave due to the rollers that don’t catch hair! If you have long haired people in your life, you know how annoying it is – and gross – when you have to hack hair off your vacuum roller. Very pleased with the quality and performance of this!

Customer Review: Powerful yet light. It’s all about hair and It’s all about the double brush. I “sold” the Kirby vacs as a teenager waiting to get in the military. We were trained on various vacuums and I was in a lot of homes showing people how junk their other vacuums were. Never sold one because even though they were amazing because of the price tag. I just couldn’t bring myself to do that to people. But. What I learned there separated me from many others. My favorite vacuum was the older Kenmore progressive intelliclean vacuum. Bought it for my wife on Christmas. Madder than heck until she tried it. Spent HOURS testing it at sears vs the dysons etc before I bought it. Drove two sales guys crazy. Bought old parts off other broken units just to keep it going. Later (we have two) went with the new Kenmore progressives. Extremely powerful suction. Direct drive brush. But it did not have the ease of use and versatility of the intelliclean.Telling all this because I know vacuum cleaners. And also I am an engineer. So I know quality.As I stated above it’s all in the brush. Yes this vacuum is powerful. It’s so well designed to go from hand wand suction to wand for long reach to floor cleaning to lift and carry the unit. There are a few shortcomings but…it’s all about the brush. I live in the house of hairs. Wife, two daughters all with LONG hair. The kind of hair you will get your feet tangled in and fall down long hair. Then. A Husky who’s sole purpose in life is to shed and a black English lab who’s black hairballs will suffocate a small child. After vacuuming the house with the former vacuums I would have to get scissors out and cut the wrapped girls hair off the brush. Not a pleasant job but a must. Then when I would run our carpet scrubber a bunch of dog hair would clump up right after using the vacuum. So they never got all the hair. Like . A lot of left over dog hair. Our carpet is medium plush as an FYI.This new vacuum has rubber wipes on it along with a brush. No real beater bar that actually damages your carpet up like other vacuums. This instead uses what I would call friction to remove the hair from the carpet fabric. It is absolutely amazing how well it works. And the dander this thing sucks up is significantly more dense than the former vacuums.The only important downside that I figure I would mention is with this double brush system is that it won’t do light rugs. Neither did our Kenmores cause they would just suck the dang things up into the bag almost. This double roller instead will grab the rug and pinch it between the two rollers and then it will trip off the rollers. You then have to turn off the vac (easy) extract the rug (not too bad and no damage to the vac or rug) then you can turn it back on to get the rollers to work again. So if like my house where my wife buys rugs Every time I turn around then know that like most vacuums (even with the brush on slow (hardwood setting) and the min suction (which is just a port on the handle to allow air bypass)…the rollers is what will grab the rug. On heavier rugs it has zero issues.Haven’t had to clean the brush head yet of hair so that’s like worth going out to the bar with your buddies. They would understand.Any other downsides are not downsides. If this was your first ever vacuum in life you would name your first child after it. But if you have gone through many vacuums you see minor things you would change but all of them are not worth even blinking about. Shark did extremely well and I am glad I went with this model even though there are more exotics they make. No matter what model you get…if you are losing the war on hair this double brush system is it. You will claim victory 10 seconds after you turn it on and will probably call your buds over to celebrate. Please don’t tell my wife about this post cause she won’t let me tell her all about vacuum cleaners and will get mad at me for sharing.Update. Run the vacuum almost every day. Best vacuum I have ever owned. We have new medium plush carpet. On occasion I have to run the carpet cleaner. Prior to this vacuum there would be a lot of dog hair and long girls hair clogged up in the carpet cleaner brushes. Not anymore. This Shark pulls all of the hair up. Very impressed. Everything about this vacuum is perfect. I would not change a thing.
