This vacuum is a gift from heaven!We have struggled with long-hair dogs, long-hair cats, a chinchilla that throws her bedding and food outside her cage daily, terrible builder-grade quality carpet that mats really easily, making it difficult to get things properly vacuumed and cleaned.We have purchased expensive Dyson vacuums specifically for pets, expensive Shark vacuums specifically for pets, and an expensive Kirby, which honestly has been the best vacuum so far. Until this cheap Bissell.Not cheap quality… PHENOMENAL quality for a cheap price. Don’t bother spending $500 on a junky Dyson. This Bissell is a miracle worker.We were literally about to rip out our carpeting in the upstairs hallway because it was so matted with pet hair that just wouldn’t come out. We were going to just epoxy the plywood underneath because it would look better than the ratty carpet. But I thought I’d hunt one more time for a vacuum on Amazon.I read reviews raving about this vacuum that led me to buy it. And we are thrilled with this thing! My husband and I can’t stop vacuuming. Customer Review: Great vacuum if you have pets! We have large dogs and went through two other vacuums from a competitor that struggled to keep suction and were much heavier and unwieldy. The Bissell 2252 is fairly lightweight by comparison but has a much wider suction and roller head which cuts down on vacuuming time. The see through cannister makes it very easy to tell when its time to empty and it is very simple to remove, empty, and replace on the main unit. Would highly recommend it if you have pets or just a very active home and need to keep your carpets and rugs clean!

This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. (Dust buildup inside the motor housing leading to bearing whine, brush roller wear that required modification to prevent additional damage, as well as handle damage that prevented the vacuum handle from staying locked in place and later being unable to be removed as it got jammed slightly at an angle.)Moving on, this is actually a step up, despite having got it at a substantially lower price (99 dollars verse the original Bissell 2999 price being around 200 dollars.) I wanted something that people praised for higher reliability, and this advertised a limited 5 year warranty. I got it, because 99 for a well reviewed vacuum was excellent in idea.

Very easy to use, both my pre teen and teen were able to use without any issues. It quickly picked up the dirt and dust from their carpeted rooms. This very lightweight vacuum lifts what’s deeply embedded, even powerfully enough to reach invisible embedded fur, and a lot of carpet freshener (scented baking soda) I thought was long gone. Carpeting here is frequently steam cleaned (or so I thought it was being thoroughly cleaned). Can actually feel a slight pull on the carpet when it’s used. Customer Review: This vacuum is amazing. It is easy to assemble, all the parts go attached to the vacuum ( no way to lose them), and the suction is high power. This vacuum will leave your floors very clean. Once you turn on the vacuum you could feel the power, it weighs very little (not big and bulky) and you will clean your whole house in less than 5 minutes. Customer Review: I am astounded at how well this vacuum actually worked. I will start by saying I usually don’t buy Amazon brand products because they remind me of like the dollar store products. You know good for a couple uses and then pretty much garbage. But I will say my vacuum was just dropped off I opened it up and immediately used it cuz my vacuum broke two days ago. I was flabbergasted at actually how much suction this little vacuum has. I normally buy Bissell because they do help you know pets in need and they do make better products same with Hoover but I didn’t want to spend that much on a vacuum right now especially when I’m going to buy another one in the near future but it is more of industrial. But as for this little guy holy cow. I read the reviews and I normally don’t trust reviews cuz you know too many Bots but the reviews for this vacuum are actually very spot on. I have a number of pets and it sucked all the pet hair up kitty litter off the floor it worked amazingly on my carpet and then I moved it to the linoleum it worked amazing there moved it to the tile and hardwood floor absolutely amazing. The cord all so great usually I have to unplug and move the vacuum around the house a number of times and this one I did not I only had to plug it in twice maybe three times to move around. But this is absolutely amazing super long cord super great product I am actually really amazed at how great of a product this is and I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a low cost vacuum that actually can do the job this is your vacuum.

My wife has a ridiculously large furball of a mainecoon. Keeping up with his shedding takes effort. A LOT of effort. That’s why we have the roombas running all the time. Problem is, they can’t keep up…and they can ONLY vacuum the floor. But they keep up well enough to where as long as they run, we can get away with not vacuuming multiple times per day. Adding to this problem: our vacuum broke about two months ago. If Terminator ever comes true, the solution to the robot apocalypse is mainecoon cat shedding in a version of a drawn out war of attrition. The cats will win, every time. Our robots were losing the war. I got tired of reading vacuum reviews and getting stuck in analysis paralysis and just decided to order *something* as a stop gap until I finally found something I was confident enough in to spend some money to order. This was the cheapest one I saw that wasnt a “Shark” version, and generally Amazon Basics stuff is fine, so I ordered it.For what I spent, and for the amount of hair it picked up on the first pass? Customer Review: This vacuum is wonderful and so easy to use. I just got brand new carpet wall to wall. My other one was a tank for me to push around (I am old, though) but this one is a breeze. It’s also much easier to empty and I just wipe the cylinder out with a cloth to get tiny particles of dust out. As with most vacuums, the attachment hose is not long enough but then again, they never are. I just use the garage shop vac when I need that kind of cleaning. Other than that, this is a keeper and very well priced!!

Customer Review: I am where vacuums go to die. With 4 dogs and 5 cats, living on a mountain farm, I kill vacuums on a regular basis. I’ve managed to take out everything from an old Kirby to a new Dyson & everything in between. Even the ones designed for pet hair didn’t last long. Then I got a shark navigator. It was true love! It was like having a Catholic priest come in on a regular basis to perform an exorcism on my carpets. For years, me & my Shark performed miracles in my home, proclaiming from my mountain top… THIS HOUSE IS CLEAN! Then we moved. I allowed a stranger to take my beloved Shark and haul it 2600 miles. It was literally in pieces, it’s hoses and cords shredded and pulled from thier sockets. The handle snapped off at the neck, there was no chance of resurrection. I couldn’t imagine what kind of torture my poor loyal side kick had endured, and was in doubt I would ever know such admiration for a household appliance again.

I need something that will take care of pet hair (dog and a cat) and be simple to use and empty, and not require replaceable filters.A lot of reviewers showed how much hair the vac got up after using their old vacuum first. They were not kidding! I ran the Eureka over a short nap carpet about 15 x 15 feet, and the dust bin was nearly full of hair and dirt. it had only been a couple of days since I vacuumed with my old Rainbow. I am amazed! This thing is light and easy to maneuver, gets under the toe space and under the edges of furniture easily. It cleans right to the edge. Unlike any vacuum I ever had before, this is NOT noisy. I always wore hearing protectors with the old ones, and don’t even need them with this Not loud or obnoxious at all.

It is a very small vacuum. Very simple. No settings on the vacuum, no light, very narrow, short in stature, very long cord, excellent, excellent suction!!!!!! Customer Review: Imagine a regular upright vacuum cleaner, of ‘normal’ size. This is just like that, but 30% smaller. Which I was not really expecting, but that’s on me. It’s a little dynamo however, it does a fantastic job, and I’m super happy with it. Everything about it is smaller and lighter, and maybe not particularly solid feeling. But it works, and works really well. I could see it being perfect for smaller places, and those that can’t lug a full-sized machine around.

Customer Review: First use 27/MarTLDR: Very good vacuum out of the box, only issue so far is emptying the chamber can get messy if it’s too full.It’s early in its life in my house but so far this vacuum is incredible. I put off vacuuming for about a month or two because our old vacuum wasn’t keeping up and left a nasty smell every time it was used. 2 months of build up with 3 cats and a dog is quite a bit so it was a good test for the new vacuum. Absolutely blew me away. Every pass resulted in almost new looking carpet. I went upstairs to show my wife a picture and she was surprised to find out I was even running the vacuum because it was so quiet. It’s so smooth that my dog who has an eternal vendetta against vacuums doesn’t even bark at it.The only issue I have is that emptying the chamber can be messy if it’s too full. You have to physically reach in and twist out the center piece to shake the rest of the debris loose. When you put off vacuuming your pets space for a month or two, it’s not gonna be a clean job and I imagine regular vacuuming can prevent this from being a problem.
