This vacuum is a gift from heaven!We have struggled with long-hair dogs, long-hair cats, a chinchilla that throws her bedding and food outside her cage daily, terrible builder-grade quality carpet that mats really easily, making it difficult to get things properly vacuumed and cleaned.We have purchased expensive Dyson vacuums specifically for pets, expensive Shark vacuums specifically for pets, and an expensive Kirby, which honestly has been the best vacuum so far. Until this cheap Bissell.Not cheap quality… PHENOMENAL quality for a cheap price. Don’t bother spending $500 on a junky Dyson. This Bissell is a miracle worker.We were literally about to rip out our carpeting in the upstairs hallway because it was so matted with pet hair that just wouldn’t come out. We were going to just epoxy the plywood underneath because it would look better than the ratty carpet. But I thought I’d hunt one more time for a vacuum on Amazon.I read reviews raving about this vacuum that led me to buy it. And we are thrilled with this thing! My husband and I can’t stop vacuuming. And we watch each other vacuum so we can see this miracle in action.We had vacuumed our bedroom with the Kirby. Two days later, we vacuumed our bedroom with this Bissell. Filled up the canister before we even finished the room!! This pulled up years of embedded dirt, hair, whatever grossness every other vacuum failed to pick up. It left those beautiful vacuum lines in the carpeting for the first time in years! It actually picked up the carpet pile that was totally matted down. We emptied the canister and moved on.We finished the bedroom, then vacuumed that matted hair in the hallway, which this baby picked up with ease. Hubby and I gasped in wonderment. Then, we emptied the canister again and moved on.We vacuumed the bonus room, where the chinchilla makes her mess. It picked up all of her hay and bedding with ease!The only con that I saw about this vacuum that affected me was the length of the hose for the attachments. True, the hose is short. But the vacuum is lightweight enough to carry it step by step to be able to vacuum the stairs. And it still reaches the full couch seats. That was another miracle! Our dogs like to sneak onto the couch when no one’s looking, so both long-hair clumps and short-hair bristles get embedded into the couch cushions. With a few swipes with the attachment, 2/3 of the couch filled up half the canister of dog hair!! And the attachment actually has it’s own functioning roller with bristles, like a little mini vacuum!! It’s not just stationary attachment at the end of a hose… it’s a mini vacuuum!!I am telling you… this is the best vacuum ever. I never would have imagined an inexpensive Bissell would outshine every “big name” superpower vacuum. But it does. Leaps and bounds better.

Customer Review: Great vacuum if you have pets! We have large dogs and went through two other vacuums from a competitor that struggled to keep suction and were much heavier and unwieldy. The Bissell 2252 is fairly lightweight by comparison but has a much wider suction and roller head which cuts down on vacuuming time. The see through cannister makes it very easy to tell when its time to empty and it is very simple to remove, empty, and replace on the main unit. Would highly recommend it if you have pets or just a very active home and need to keep your carpets and rugs clean!

Customer Review: I have two morkies who’s hair/fur grows at miraculous lengths – we were taking them to the groomer more often than we really could afford so doing the job ourselves at home was the best alternative. For years we were using our dog clippers and getting the job done, but there was always hair everywhere afterward, even when using tarp and other barriers we thought could help with cleanup. I saw a social media post where a groomer used a similar machine and IMMEDIATELY opened my Amazon app and ordered! I used it on the girls when it arrived and I wanted to cry because I could been using this years ago – it was so easy and made the process so much faster! The clippers are no joke,be sure to use the guards unless you want a super close shave, they work really well (I’ll admit I was skeptical because they dont look like the “professional” dog clippers Id been using all these years. the vacuum suction is great. if I could change anything it would be to make the length of the hose and the power cord longer and quiet the sound of the vacuum. The dogs didn’t like the noise, but they eventually relaxed and let me do my thing. the clean up attachments were perfect, I didn’t have any hair to sweep or pick up when I was done. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone who does their own pet grooming. if anything changes, I’ll come back and edit this review. oh – I did purchase the extended warranty just in case.

( he has me doing this “grooming” 2-3 times a day now… lol… but he has been through hell and almost high water… and I am glad I found this for us. Customer Review: This is a wonderful vacuum. It has great suction for a machine of its size. It’s affordable and comes with numerous attachments that are easy to use and remove. There are two speeds of suction; it works well and is easy to empty. I love that this unit even comes with an extra filter. It is not a noisy vacuum and seems to have good battery life. We’ve not used it long enough to address the vacuum’s durability, but it seems well made. We’ve used it to clean our cars and the the hose attachment with the crevice tool allowed me to vacuum the hard to reach places on our TV set. I really appreciate this vacuum’s design.

Customer Review: First use 27/MarTLDR: Very good vacuum out of the box, only issue so far is emptying the chamber can get messy if it’s too full.It’s early in its life in my house but so far this vacuum is incredible. I put off vacuuming for about a month or two because our old vacuum wasn’t keeping up and left a nasty smell every time it was used. 2 months of build up with 3 cats and a dog is quite a bit so it was a good test for the new vacuum. Absolutely blew me away. Every pass resulted in almost new looking carpet. I went upstairs to show my wife a picture and she was surprised to find out I was even running the vacuum because it was so quiet. It’s so smooth that my dog who has an eternal vendetta against vacuums doesn’t even bark at it.The only issue I have is that emptying the chamber can be messy if it’s too full. You have to physically reach in and twist out the center piece to shake the rest of the debris loose. When you put off vacuuming your pets space for a month or two, it’s not gonna be a clean job and I imagine regular vacuuming can prevent this from being a problem.I will come back and write a future review if I have any issues down the road but as of right now… well worth the money!

Customer Review: I have a long hair cat and several double coated cats. Ms long hair in the pic will not clean herself or her sanitary area. She has terribly greasy skin, a lot of dandruff and she smells like an outhouse. Despite numerous baths, she does not come clean or smell nice. My double coats can each fill a bathroom size trash can with hair every week. It’s exhausting to brush them for an hour every day. I didn’t have any hopes for this gizmo but WOW! The first thing I did was shave Ms stinky down every where except her face, feet and tuff at the end of her tail. Then I tackled her with baby wipes until they came away clean. Within a few days, she was no longer greasy, i didn’t see any dandruff and she was more active. I see her grooming herself all the time now. Ms stinky pants is not smelly anymore and is a very happy girl! The other cats are so much nicer to groom with the comb on the vacuum attachment. The fluff balls that used to float in the air and make my face itch when using a regular brush are now completely sucked into the vacuum. It’s super easy to clean and very quiet. 90% of my cats love to be brushed with the vacuum on the low setting. I just finished trimming Ms stinky pants (not her real name) for the second time since I’ve had the machine (about 6-8 weeks) and she complained some but didn’t move around. I really think she feels better because she acts like a happy kitty now. If you’re on the fence about this don’t be afraid to try it. It’s truly amazing how well it works and how easily the cats got used to it. I even tried it on the mastiff and he didn’t even notice.

If you have had an influx of ladybugs in your house, this is the tool for you! I was also able to suck up a couple angry wasps. I use it exclusively for bug removal. It is fast and oh so powerful.NOTICE: When I carefully unpacked it and read the “manual” it said there was a cloth filter included…I did not see it anywhere. My calls to B&D resulted in 15 minutes on hold and no help. Aggravated, I ordered a set of washable filters from Amazon. They arrived speedily and when I went to put one on, it was then I discovered the cloth filter!😳 So be aware the included cloth filter is located UNDER the “plastic pre-filter.” Sort of strange…my daughter’s older model had the cloth filter OVER the blue one. I’m telling you about this so you’ll know. The cloth filter is there, it’s just hidden.The manual isn’t very explanatory but is full of **bold letter** WARNINGs.I’m very happy with my purchase. It is a very strong vac….as others have noted it is very very loud. It is easy to charge, a delight to use and accomplishes the task, whether it be bug or dirt removal. I love it and you will too!

It has strong suction for its size and made quick work of small messes around the house and in the car. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and very convenient for those quick cleanups.My only complaint is the battery life—I just wish it lasted a bit longer between charges. For small tasks, it’s perfect, but for extended use, you’ll likely need to recharge sooner than expected.Still, despite the battery limitation, it works really well and delivers solid performance for the price. Customer Review: I have always had at least one dog and I’m used to coping with some dog hair, but I’ve never allowed dogs on the furniture and I also think that my dogs all had hair that was fairly easy to remove.Fast forward to 2012, and I am in a second marriage with 3 kids. The last “not on furniture” dog died and we got a new dog named Zara. Hubs grew up in a house that allowed dogs on the furniture so when we saw that that Zara was able to jump on the furniture we had to make a decision. We did it the good ol’ American way and put it to a vote. Hubs and all three girls voted to let the dog on the furniture, much to my dismay. Worse, Zara’s hair is like nothing I’ve seen before… once it gets onto cloth, most of the time it clings to the point that the hairs have to be pulled out individually. Vacuuming, tape-style lint rollers, a Gleener depiller, velcro balls in the washer/dryer, Bounce pet hair dryer sheets … they all leave a lot behind.Fast forward to 2020 and not only am I at my wits’ end with the dog hair, but all three kids are grown women and none of us likes that we can’t sit on the furniture without having to get out a hand-held vacuum and vacuum the dog hair off the back of each others’ pants.Fast forward one last time to last week when I finally decided to get this Chom Chom gadget. I am ASTOUNDED at how well it works. I think the secret is with the little squeegee on the roller. I’ve tried using a squeegee on carpet before and it really does work, but it is unwieldy, cannot easily be done in more than one direction, and it must be done with a vacuum nearby to gather whatever gets pulled up. Also, then the squeegee ends up with pet hair on it so it needs to be cleaned before it gets put back into service for cleaning glass. With the Chom Chom, you get the benefit of the squeegee, but since it is on the roller, it is easier to do back/forth strokes. And then as for how the dog hair gets off the roller and into the hair collection chamber… maybe it is sorcery? I have no idea how that works but IT DOES!!In full honesty, I still have to do extra strokes to get all of Zara’s hair (it gets our other dog’s “easy hair” on the first swipe), but the amount that the Chom Chom picks up relative to the number of passes I have to make over the fabric is unbelievable!Once the chamber is full, I use a handheld vac to remove the hair and then it is ready to go again!The only downsides that I can see are:- Some dog hair gets trapped in the side hinges of the door to the collection chamber and has to be pulled out with the fingers. It is possible that if I cleaned it before it got SO FULL, that problem would go away, but we just have SO MUCH dog hair and the gadget is so effective that I would be emptying every couple of minutes.- The button to open the collection chamber door is right where I place my thumb for strength so I tend to pop it open when I am doing the actual rolling task (I seem to have this problem with a lot of products that have a button in the center, so that might be a “me” problem.)- The chom chom is 7.5″ wide which is excellent for cleaning furniture, but a narrower version would be better for clothing, especially when the dog hair gets on the clothes while they’re being worn and it would be impractical to remove the clothes (e.g., if you get dog hair on your black pants when you ride in your co-worker’s car to lunch during the workday.)BOTTOM LINE: I have had this little gadget for less than a week and have already recommended it to several people and wrote this review while I was looking to see if they had a narrower model for my car/office/coat closet. I wish I had owned this years ago, and I would 100% buy it again.

Customer Review: This is the best handheld vac I’ve ever owned. I use the soft brush attachment to keep my wood floor crumbs from up under my kitchen cabinet base. I use the smooth attachment to lightly lift dust from my Amish built tweed sofa. I use the crevice tool to pick up crumbs around the garbage can and I pick up wood pieces from my fireplace hearth. I also use the crevice tool to deep vac my dryer lint trap and my baseboards. I have owned this hand vac for a year and the suction is consistent and amazing. It hold a charge for a week and blinks when it’s getting low on charge. It’s easy to empty and to clean the filter. It’s durable and easy t use. The noise level is commensurate to its effectiveness and certainly a great value for the money. I will never use a different brand. It’s the perfect hand vac to complete the job of my robot and large vacuum. It reaches beside toilets, behind my freestanding tub and around and behind end tables. Dust and fine debris pick up is also very good, easy to swap out parts for different uses, so it’s versatile. I’m set to use it more so to clean out my car, but when I did a quick pass through it was very efficient. Not too noisy, especially compared to a full sized vacuum I’d say. Customer Review: Works great! I brush my cat with the vacuum turned off, because I don’t want to make him scared of the noise. Then when there is a bunch of fur on it I hold it at arms length away from my cat and turn it on for a few seconds to suck up the fur. I tried a different type of vacuum brush, but it was big, had a hose, plugged into the wall and the on/off switch wasn’t on the hand held part… everything about it freaked out my cat. This one is way less scary for him.
