There are three steam levels, which heat very quickly! Performance has been steady for each setting, and the steam output on the highest is perfect for my needs. It was so difficult to get anything off, and you’d have to use it immediately after a spill to keep things clean, if you want the easiest cleanup.Then I got this mop.This mop is like using a vacuum across the carpet. It’s that easy. It’s easy on the back, and I can do my floor quickly, even when it was at its dirtiest when I first got the mop.Once it’s assembled, it nearly instant to heat up – very quick. It does make a little noise – don’t be alarmed. Then you’re off to steaming your floor clean, with no chemicals.There’s a medium and high steam setting. I set mine to high because of the stickiness, grease, and messes, but the medium setting works pretty good too. It makes the floor warm and puts out some steam to clean. It’s not hot to walk on. Shoes are suggested, probably because your floor is wet and you can slip. If you wear shoes, make sure they’re anti-skid, and not something like flip-flops.I’m so happy to have a clean and neat kitchen floor now. Customer Review: Bought this Consumer Reports highly rated steam mop to clean tile floors. It cleans well! Our kitchen floor had some gunk tracked it that needed to be scrubbed. The scrub brush and the high steam setting got it all up with some persistence. My only complaint is that I wish the brush was easy to remove for cleaning. I had to clean the gunk out several times before the floor was clean.You get plenty of steam on either the Hi or Low steam settings. The cord is plenty long enough and wraps in the cord holders easily. Use distilled water. The time from ON to hearing steam is less than 30 seconds. The mop is comfortably light weight.Recommend being careful with engineered wood or when cleaning grout. CR does not recommend using steam for real or faux wood despite all of the videos you can find doing it. Could cause buckling is their claim. I used the brush to dig the grout out of our bathroom tile and had to replace it. (Thought it was dirt. It wasn’t.). The wider grout in our kitchen was cleaned by the brush with no problem. Again, cleaning grout with aggressive brushing and high steam is not recommended.Otherwise, wish we had bought a Kenmore steam mop a long time ago.

Customer Review: I’m a previous Shark Steamer owner. It was a flat steam mop not rotary. I had this one maybe 10 years. That one got water temps to about 180 degrees. It worked really well but left streaks. I had tried other steamers that promised to get water temps to 212 degrees which is boiling point for water. They all failed within months. Too small and too hot. So I continued to use my old Shark Steamer with ok results. I prefer the idea of steaming for cleaning vs the chemical solution for other store bought mops.I bought this one in December 2025, just before Christmas because the old steamer died. I am very pleased.The things I like include the following.1. Bigger water tank. I can steam clean more before taking the time to refill. The old one took 3 fills to do a small clean like the kitchen and bathrooms. Today I did a much more thorough cleaning, rolling up rugs, moving furniture etc. This was a longer clean time. I filled twice. Very happy.2. I didn’t know if I would like the roller pads as never using before. It actually works well. It is so much easier to move the steamer over the floor and I think it cleans better. Also, I don’t get the streaking I got with the old machine. I’m very pleased.3. It is light weight and easy to maneuver.4. Steam: So the pads are wet with the steam water and you have a button to push for more steam if you need it. Very nice. Needless to say, I get enough steam to clean the floor. Very happy.5. The prompts ask about scent? I don’t know why. I do put a bit of vinegar in the distilled water. My preference.6. This is the S8201 and newest edition to the Shark Stream Mop line. This upgraded version has a removable tank, making refills easy. I recommend using distilled water for cleaning, especially if you have hard water or treated city water – it prevents mineral buildup within the steam vac. This is lightweight and, while it’s not cordless, the cord is plenty long enough to clean a large area. We have hardwood in the kitchen, dining room, office, and living room and I was able to steam clean all of these floors with one small tank refill. It has three settings, the higher, the more powerful. It’s a self-propelled steam mop too, so it’s really easy to move around compared to manual ones. This version also has LED lights – a feature I love in all vacuum type devices because it can make it so much better to catch missed areas. The steam blast feature works great on stuck on stains. Occasionally it takes a few steam blasts and passes with the spinning scrubbers if something is really stuck on the floor. I loved mine so much, I got one for my moms house in NY too. She is disabled and needs assistance with cleaning, and that seemed like an easier option than brining mine back and forth. Oh, and let me add – during winter months when the salt from icy roads inevitably gets tracked inside from shoes or furry paw prints, this can clean those spots up super fast! Customer Review: I was skeptical of how good this work work, because I bought the Bissell equivalent (a wet mop/vac combo) a couple years ago and it was an absolute disaster and waste of money. Clogged up, sputtered filthy water out, was inconsistent in dispensing water and cleaner. This however did an amazing job, was super simple to use and virtually no assembly required. Customer Review: This is my first vac/mop combo. I have used a steam mop for years and I am sold on the power of steam. However the pads always seem to stir up a bunch of stuff that needs vacuuming.I saw the shark 3 in 1 steam pickup on the Just a Dad channel and was impressed with the effectiveness and simplicity, not to mention the low price point.My experience it’s lightweight builds up steam quickly, very effective at removing stuck on stains and picking up debris. Certainly has a limit to how much it can pick up with the relatively small collection tray, but it has made me reevaluate how important suction is vs head construction on a vacuum. This thing does not use suction but I would be hard pressed to say it doesn’t pick up everything a normal vacuum would plus mopping the floor.The cons, since it doesn’t suction it leaves the floor pretty wet especially if you have to work over a spot for a bit. It will pick up spills milk, water etc. but it is not going to dry out the floor a whole lot. Just leaves it clean and wet.If you want steam you are going to have a cord and I think this is an excellent choice. It certainly is nice not having to buy a bunch of proprietary solutions, just water.If you give up steam something cordless may be a little more convenient, although cleaning this thing is super quick and easy, the dirty stuff is all confined to three easy to access and sink wash components. And the cord is long and really only adds the time to plug in and wrap up.Last thought if you have a flooring type that is sensitive to heat or water ie. Some types of lvp, linoleum, or hard wood anything not sealed, you may want to be careful with this it is both hot and wet. Maybe something that vacuums and stays cold will keep your floor dryer and prevent warping or loosening glue.

Customer Review: I’ve had my Shark now for over two years and it’s still going strong! I was honestly nervous after receiving my steam mop because it did feel a little flimsy. However, that being said…it would be tiring to use a heavy solid mop that holds added weight in water! We decided to go with the steam for several reasons but first, because my daughter suffers from severe allergies! This mop uses no cleaners and does a much better job than a traditional mop and bucket. I also liked the “green” factor of no cleaner and washable pads. I have washed and reused the cleaning pads too many times to count and not a single one of them is showing any signs of wear!! (not counting some staining of course) Also, one of my daughters accidentally dropped my Shark down the basement stairs and cracked the plastic housing…didn’t effect the mop in the least. It feels no flimsier and hasn’t worsened as I’ve continued using it…and it doesn’t leak. It’s plastic…I don’t blame the mop for breaking when the same daughter dropped my cast iron pan down the same stairs and that also broke 😉 We have finished hardwood floors, laminate floors, tiled floors, Allure floors and oiled pine floors…this mop works wonderfully on every one of them! I’ve used it to remove general dirt and grime, sticky nasties, wax, crayon, marker, paint, wood stove ash residue, unidentifiable kid & pet surprises and numerous food spills all with great success! I have recommended this mop several times and will do so several more times I’m sure! I was disappointed, but it still mops the same…only now I have to move the plug to more than one outlet…not a deal-breaker for me** I also never had to buy replacement pads in the four years I’ve owned them! They are no longer white…but they still work beautifully! I occasionally tried the big purple fluffy pad that came with mine but I wasn’t totally thrilled with it…maybe because it took longer to wet enough to clean with…admittedly I just want to get mopped and be done ASAP. Customer Review: I gave 4 stars as Shark Steamer mop S1000 is a good product. My last one was the purple steam mop and lasted 15 years. It was used at least once a week on all floors and for mess. It has the power steam and wipe the dirt away. Fast and easy. I have sealed hard wood floors, lots of tile, have always had two large dogs and one messy spouse who seams to drop everything on the kitchen floor, and brings in mud. (The dogs are cleaner). Needless to say, it gets good use. Fill the tank, wait as instructions say 2-3 minutes, you will hear the steam and it ready. I like the washable pads and ordered six extra to have them on had. The last was you had to fill the tank, not removable. This new one has a removable tank which I like the idea. Easy to dump out any water remain to let dry. However, maybe because it’s new, I find the tank is a bit hard to remove, the instructions say to pull up and out. You have to just pull out. The button under the tank on the machine its self does push in to allow the tank to snap back into place, but to remove it takes a little figure power to pull out. It needs a tank release button to make easier for arthritis hands. But I am still sticking with this machine and brand, hope it does me just as well as the last one.

Customer Review: don’t normally write reviews but Ohh My! great performance! especially for the price. I can’t afford to buy a wicked expensive professional high end steamer, so went for this. I did 4 rooms rinsing/hand washing the pad in between rooms. time consuming for first run but wanted to do it right as the directions instructed. tip.. take yr time with patience. a small area at a time, moving the mop slow, pumping the handle for good steam. as instructed go over the area numerous times (per directions 15 strokes), slowly. I broke it down to smaller patches of floor at a time. took a lot of breaks so I had patience. after the steam cleaning I mopped all the floors with my swiffer (reusable cloth pad) n pine sol to test how dirty the swiffer pad got as opposed to normally. huge difference! barely dirty swiffer pad, indicating the steam mop did the job. tested out barefoot & my floors feel soo smoothe n clean! also my house is high traffic from people and PETS. even with cleaning regularly the mop pad got verry dirty, i know it took a lot of dirt off the floors that normal cleaning just dont achieve. made a HUGE differences to crevices & edges where grime builds up. note: over time the floors will get even cleaner, can’t expect perfection one round with built up dirt that hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned by normal mopping. as time goes by can probably lighten up with the time spent & the repetitions.is plastic but thats a great thing, is light making it very easy to keep going! Just be careful not to bang it up or toss it around. reaches under furniture items great! manuevers with ease in all directions. wish the water reservoir was bigger had to refill several times, however as I said I took my time going over all areas numerous times, pumping out lots of steam.
