Customer Review: We have had the Shark Navigator for so years or so. It is still running fine but we moved it upstairs to not have to be carrying one u and down to clean. The new one is better than the basic model we had. It has unbelievable suction and clean wonderfully. It is a bit harder to move and is a bit noisier. Perhaps because it is so new and needs to break in. I think the noise is from the self cleaning on the roller. However with two dogs and long haired women it is worth it. Highly recommend. I have had Dyson, Kirby, Electrolux and Sears over the years and NONE of them come close.

Customer Review: This review is for the Performance Powered lift away vacuum. Honestly it is wonderful. I don’t know what everyone else’s complaints are but…. I also have the regular shark Navigator. I love it but it is getting old & I am tired of lugging it up & down the stairs. So I got this one. 1st people complain about the size of the dust bin. It is not to small. I have 2 grown adults, 3 cats & a corgi. I vaccum every day. This one is great, I empty it every other day & its not even full. What I love is the floor selection switch that changes the suction power or the vaccum. The hose length is perfect especially if you use just the handle part for cleaning upholstery. Customer Review: Received my Shark Performance Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum (UV2500) today. As silly as it sounds to be excited over a vacuum, indeed I was! I vacuumed the whole house TWICE. I’m so pleased with the weight, maneuverability and suction of this vacuum. I have 2 large dogs who shed like crazy. With my old machine, I could vacuum carpets three times and the canister would still be full. On my second pass with the Shark, there was barely anything in the canister. There are three settings; hard floors, short pile carpet and high pile carpet. I did all carpets on the short pile setting, and it worked great! I’m NOT a fan of high priced Dyson. This Shark wasn’t cheap, but it was a competitive price and worth the money. The real test will be to see how long it lasts…

Customer Review: I live in the desert so a LOT of dust and dirt get tracked into my home, and I also have a what WAS a “fancy” floor finish that now flakes up CONSTANTLY, so keeping up on vacuuming is a *constant* chore. Just to make things more complicated, I’m disabled and have arthritis, so doing a lot of moving around and bending down to get at tricky spots used to leave me laid up for an entire day after housekeeping. THIS vacuum cleaner has been a complete GAME-CHANGER! It is a *little* heavier than I expected, but for all the other features, it’s enough of a trade-off. One of the BEST features for someone with limited flexibility is that you can lift the light-weight cannister and motor section off of the base and carry it around like a hand vacuum. You can *also* remove the handle from the vacuum in two differed lengths – a short handle for cleaning things at waist height and above, and a LONG handle to get under crevices and other spots on the floor without bending over or getting down on your hands and knees for tricky spaces! This vacuum allows me to adjust the rug/floor setting with a button near the handle without having to bend over and fiddle with a knob near the floor, and even has a setting to automatically adjust itself to go from carpet to bare floor. The motor is STRONG and does an excellent job at cleaning the carpet and floor with just a few passes. For getting under cupboards and furniture, there’s a sensor that will give a boost where you need one, and a light that goes on and off automatically because the darn thing is MAGIC and knows when you need it! The cannister that holds the dust and dirt is on the small side, but I think this is a plus because even though you have to clean it out a little more often, it doesn’t vomit out so much gunk that you end up covered in dust and grime. That is also why it is small and light enough to carry around, so I consider it a feature, not a bug. It is a little pricey, but I think it’s been worth every penny. I actually look forward to using it because it’s made it so much easier to keep my house clean again!

Customer Review: Awesome value. I use a Miele C3 vac ($1,000+) in my main home and bought the Shark Rotator for a beach house. After using the Shark for the first time in main home, I’m impressed. Cleaning dog hair off carpet and grit off hard floors looked thorough. The Shark is almost as easy to manipulate as the wand and power carpet brush on the Miele. The Shark doesn’t get any long border collie hair wrapped around the rotating carpet brush. Shark’s liftaway capability provides the mobility, although heavier, of the long hose on the Miele canister vac. Wrapping the cord on the Shark is an added chore that’s automated with the Miele cord rewind. The Miele has killer vacuum and graduated vacuum control for drapes versus a basic high-low vac control on the Shark. I like the bag filtering on the Miele to capture more dust because I have mild allergies, but the Shark dust bin empties easily. For 1/3rd the price the Shark Rotator is a champ.

The suction is the best I’ve ever seen in a vaccum. It’s lightweight. Lots of length to use attachments. The scent boosters work great. I can see where if I had dogs this would be great for the smell. The scent boosters also have levels you can set . I have cats and it collects the hair like no other vacuum. Customer Review: This is my third Shark vacuum and there is a reason I keep buying them! They just work, period. My daughter is moving into her own apartment for the first time and wanted the same Shark we already had. It doesn’t seem to still be available so I let her take it with her and got a new one for myself. I do also own a lift away but find it a little too heavy to carry around. The super long hose on this item achieves the same thing and is way easier to use. Assembly was very easy and no tools were needed. All of the components just click into place and probably took two minutes to assemble. I have learned over time that the two included attachments are the only ones I really use and both can be stored right onboard the vacuum. I love that both the foam and felt filters can be rinsed in water and do not need to be repurchased. That being said, I usually buy another set anyway so that I can rinse one set and still be able to use the vacuum while they completely dry out. As for the performance, it works really well. The ability to easily adjust the level of suction right from the handle means that I can go from a throw rug, to an area rug, to a wood floor quickly and easily. The swivel operates flawlessly and makes maneuvering a breeze. And the extension of the hose is great. To reach the ceiling, I don’t have to do any heavy lifting or stretching. The dust bin is quite large and is also easy to release and empty. This particular item might not have a tons of bells and whistles, but it just works. For 95% of my tasks, it’s all I need. And it is a great value! Every single one of my Shark vacuums are still working great, and I’m sure this item is no exception. For the price, it has everything I need and really exceeded my expectations once I used it. I can tell that it’s cleaning the carpet in a way that it was not cleaned by my old Shark vacuum because of what I see in the dust cup as they call it.. it’s hardly a cup it’s huge. The one thing they don’t tell you in all the reviews and videos that I watched is that the motorized brush rollers are really powerful. I’m 72 but fairly strong very physically active/fit and this thing just about ran away with me. It was a workout to use it. Not in a bad way but still a workout. The forward is easy..but on the backstroke you’ve got to really pull against those brushes that want to go forward. Very impressive results so far. I might update this after three or four months of using it. I have a low pile ribbed carpet and I’ve been using it on the medium setting which seems to be appropriate for this carpet. I’ve not tried it on my hardwood floors yet. All I can say is the suction is very strong and puts my older.Shark Navigator and classic Miele cannister vacuum to shame. Completely worth the slightly higher price, very easy to put together right out of the box,. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

After using the Navigator for 7 or 8 months, I decided to go back to the Shark Vertex. My reasons were, the Vertex is self cleaning. I have a great Pyrenees and a shepherd Pyrenees mix, a 2 small dogs. I vacuum every other day. It takes forever when you have to stop and clean the brush roll out. I also have a shag area rug, and when using the Navigator, even with adjusting the suction, it was more of a work out and struggle. I started looking at the Vertex model and caught it on sale on Amazon, I won’t say what I paid, but it’s a lot cheaper than what the price is now. Having said all this, the Vertex is worth it. The suction surpasses the Navigator, and it even dusts your floors. Long dog hair, no problem, vacuuming the car, got it. I dont find it to be heavy, or cumbersome. The Navigator is a good vacuum, but for me the Vertex is worth it, even if I only get another 5 years out of it.

Customer Review: This is a great vacuum cleaner. We previously tried a Shark Navigator, but found it to be very hard to push on carpet. My wife could not push it at all. Bear in mains that this is not a self propelled model. We tried bleeding off suction, and that did not work. We ended up calling Shark customer service and we were told that this model had a reputation of being hard to push on carpet. Wish we had known this information before we bought one. When we buy a vacuum cleaner, we want one that will do all types of flooring. This Stratos model is lighter and easy to push on carpet. Also works well on tile and hardwood floors. The only negative is that it will not stand up on it’s own, unless you lean it against a wall. That is a small thing and something we can easily live with. It does have a small container for debris, but emptying it is easy. The suction is good. No problem collecting just about anything on the floors.

Customer Review: This is a long one, but it’s worth the read if you’re doing some serious shopping for a vacuum cleaner: I picked this up in October so I’ve been using it for a few months just to get a genuine sense of how this vacuum really performed and I am absolutely impressed! This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. ( If you’re wondering why I own so many vacuums, I clean for a living.) I bought this for the house. I have two cats and a husband who’s into Warhammer so you know there are sprew bits and cat hair everywhere and this thing handles it like a champ! I wasn’t sold on how small the floor attachment was until I used it: I can get underneath my barstools so much easier now and my entire house ( approx. 2000 sq ft.) is done in 20 minutes, tops! There is a learning curve, but that’s something you get with any new vacuum. I was also super impressed by the ease with which I can switch from floor to handheld attachments. Some of these other vacuums I’ve used are so bulky and difficult to handle all the small attachments… Not this one! I’m able to switch back and forth from floor to handheld quick, fast and in a hurry. Bonus points that it’s lightweight. I’m not killing myself just to vacuum my house. It’s really saved my back! And it was so much less expensive than the Dyson or the Kirby. The window on the floor attachment gives me a clear view of the roller brush ( yeah, it makes me accountable which is a good thing. It’s harder to ignore when I can see it so thanks for that, too. ). The cord is a tad short, so I went ahead a bought a small extension cord to go with it, but other than that, I’m very impressed!
