650W Cordless Vacuum with 55KPa Suction, 75-Min Runtime, 2.5L Capacity, HEPA Filter for Carpets, Furniture, Pet Hair

This cordless powerhouse solves the two biggest complaints about cordless vacuums: weak suction and dead batteries. Its upgraded 650W brushless motor delivers a staggering 55KPa of suction, rivaling many corded models. The real game-changer is the massive 8x2500mAh battery pack, offering up to 75 minutes of runtime on a single charge—enough to clean an entire average-sized home without stopping. The newly designed V-shaped anti-tangle floor brush actively combs hair away, preventing the dreaded wrap. It’s a complete, versatile system with a self-standing design and a large 2.5L dustbin.

Key Features That Stand Out

  • 650W Brushless Motor & 55KPa Suction: Unmatched power for a cordless, lifts embedded pet hair and debris effortlessly.
  • 75-Minute Runtime: 8-cell lithium battery cleans large homes on one charge, eliminating battery anxiety.
  • V-Shaped Anti-Tangle Brushroll: Specifically engineered to guide long hair and pet fur away, preventing clogs.
  • 2.5L Large Capacity Dustbin: Empty less often; finishes whole-home cleaning with one bin.
  • Complete Accessory Kit: Includes motorized pet tool, crevice tool, dusting brush, and a charging dock with storage.

Why We Recommend It

It’s the most well-rounded cordless vacuum we’ve tested for long hair. It doesn’t compromise on power, runtime, or anti-wrap performance. The combination of a truly powerful motor, a smart anti-tangle design, and a battery that lasts makes it a direct replacement for a corded vacuum for most daily jobs, without the hassle of a cord.

  • Large dustbin and self-standing design add major convenience.
  • Comes with a dedicated motorized pet tool for furniture and stairs.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This vacuum is better than I anticipated! The suction and motorized brush head work very well on wood flooring as well as carpeting and upholstery. This entire set is such a great value as it includes a hanging dock charging station, with storage spots for two of the attachment accessories, a cleaning brush, a crevice tool, a low profile suction tube with bristles, and an extra filter. The entire vacuum is relatively lightweight, and the height can be adjusted with the main attachment. The handle is quite comfortable to use, and the trigger does not need to be continuously held down. The motorized brush head has thick rubber bumpers on the corners, softening the blows and absorbing the shocks when the occasional accidental collision with furniture or walls occurs. The light on the brush head is bright and very effective at illuminating dust, dirt, and debris. This is very easy to handle and maneuver, requiring very little effort. I love the double capacity canister, as I can typically finish the entire job and only have to empty it once. I also really appreciate that it can stand on its own. It charges relatively quickly, in comparison to similar models, and the battery does a very decent job. Overall, I really love this vacuum and think it is a truly great value for the price, based on all of the included parts and accessories, as well as its performance and durability.

Customer Review: I’m very happy with this cordless vacuum. The suction power is surprisingly strong for its size and easily picks up dust, crumbs, and pet hair from both hardwood floors and carpets. It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver, which makes cleaning much faster and less tiring. The battery life is good for everyday cleaning, and I really like the LED lights on the floor head—they help spot dirt I would normally miss. Emptying the dust bin is simple and mess-free, and the attachments are very useful for corners, furniture, and the car. Overall, this vacuum offers excellent performance for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and convenient cordless vacuum.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I cannot say enough how much I love this vacuum. I had went through a few different vacuums that work amazing at first but then after a month, lose suction. I’ve had this one a few months now and the suction is still strong and works like it’s brand new. It was easy to put together and came with instructions, although you don’t really need them, it’s pretty simple. & it was an amazing deal because this vacuum is normally twice the price everywhere else! It will also last forever which saves money in itself because you won’t have to keep purchasing a new vacuum every year. The suction is just as strong as the day I bought it, it picks up dirt and everything else with ease. I own a cleaning company and use this for the company as well as at home and have had zero issues. If you’re looking for a good, quality vacuum- this is the one to get!

Customer Review: We have had the Shark Navigator for so years or so. It is still running fine but we moved it upstairs to not have to be carrying one u and down to clean. The new one is better than the basic model we had. It has unbelievable suction and clean wonderfully. It is a bit harder to move and is a bit noisier. Perhaps because it is so new and needs to break in. I think the noise is from the self cleaning on the roller. However with two dogs and long haired women it is worth it. Highly recommend. I have had Dyson, Kirby, Electrolux and Sears over the years and NONE of them come close.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This review is for the Performance Powered lift away vacuum. Honestly it is wonderful. I don’t know what everyone else’s complaints are but…. I also have the regular shark Navigator. I love it but it is getting old & I am tired of lugging it up & down the stairs. So I got this one. 1st people complain about the size of the dust bin. It is not to small. I have 2 grown adults, 3 cats & a corgi. I vaccum every day. This one is great, I empty it every other day & its not even full. What I love is the floor selection switch that changes the suction power or the vaccum. The hose length is perfect especially if you use just the handle part for cleaning upholstery. The detachable wand is extra long with the hose, you can reach a 6 foot ceiling if needed. I will always be a Shark customer.

Customer Review: Received my Shark Performance Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum (UV2500) today. As silly as it sounds to be excited over a vacuum, indeed I was! I vacuumed the whole house TWICE. I’m so pleased with the weight, maneuverability and suction of this vacuum. I have 2 large dogs who shed like crazy. With my old machine, I could vacuum carpets three times and the canister would still be full. On my second pass with the Shark, there was barely anything in the canister. There are three settings; hard floors, short pile carpet and high pile carpet. I did all carpets on the short pile setting, and it worked great! I’m NOT a fan of high priced Dyson. This Shark wasn’t cheap, but it was a competitive price and worth the money. The real test will be to see how long it lasts…

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I live in the desert so a LOT of dust and dirt get tracked into my home, and I also have a what WAS a “fancy” floor finish that now flakes up CONSTANTLY, so keeping up on vacuuming is a *constant* chore. Just to make things more complicated, I’m disabled and have arthritis, so doing a lot of moving around and bending down to get at tricky spots used to leave me laid up for an entire day after housekeeping. THIS vacuum cleaner has been a complete GAME-CHANGER! It is a *little* heavier than I expected, but for all the other features, it’s enough of a trade-off. One of the BEST features for someone with limited flexibility is that you can lift the light-weight cannister and motor section off of the base and carry it around like a hand vacuum. You can *also* remove the handle from the vacuum in two differed lengths – a short handle for cleaning things at waist height and above, and a LONG handle to get under crevices and other spots on the floor without bending over or getting down on your hands and knees for tricky spaces! This vacuum allows me to adjust the rug/floor setting with a button near the handle without having to bend over and fiddle with a knob near the floor, and even has a setting to automatically adjust itself to go from carpet to bare floor. The motor is STRONG and does an excellent job at cleaning the carpet and floor with just a few passes. For getting under cupboards and furniture, there’s a sensor that will give a boost where you need one, and a light that goes on and off automatically because the darn thing is MAGIC and knows when you need it! The cannister that holds the dust and dirt is on the small side, but I think this is a plus because even though you have to clean it out a little more often, it doesn’t vomit out so much gunk that you end up covered in dust and grime. That is also why it is small and light enough to carry around, so I consider it a feature, not a bug. It is a little pricey, but I think it’s been worth every penny. I actually look forward to using it because it’s made it so much easier to keep my house clean again!

Customer Review: Awesome value. I use a Miele C3 vac ($1,000+) in my main home and bought the Shark Rotator for a beach house. After using the Shark for the first time in main home, I’m impressed. Cleaning dog hair off carpet and grit off hard floors looked thorough. The Shark is almost as easy to manipulate as the wand and power carpet brush on the Miele. The Shark doesn’t get any long border collie hair wrapped around the rotating carpet brush. Shark’s liftaway capability provides the mobility, although heavier, of the long hose on the Miele canister vac. Wrapping the cord on the Shark is an added chore that’s automated with the Miele cord rewind. The Miele has killer vacuum and graduated vacuum control for drapes versus a basic high-low vac control on the Shark. I like the bag filtering on the Miele to capture more dust because I have mild allergies, but the Shark dust bin empties easily. For 1/3rd the price the Shark Rotator is a champ.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I’ve now had this vacuum for a year, it is so well worth the money. I switched from my Dyson to this shark model. It’s easy to use, it’s easy to clean. The suction is the best I’ve ever seen in a vaccum. It’s lightweight. Lots of length to use attachments. The scent boosters work great. I can see where if I had dogs this would be great for the smell. The scent boosters also have levels you can set . I have cats and it collects the hair like no other vacuum. For noise level, I don’t think it’s loud. The quality of this baby is made built to last! I will never buy anything other vacuum. My only con is I wish I did this so much sooner!

Customer Review: This is my third Shark vacuum and there is a reason I keep buying them! They just work, period. My daughter is moving into her own apartment for the first time and wanted the same Shark we already had. It doesn’t seem to still be available so I let her take it with her and got a new one for myself. I do also own a lift away but find it a little too heavy to carry around. The super long hose on this item achieves the same thing and is way easier to use. Assembly was very easy and no tools were needed. All of the components just click into place and probably took two minutes to assemble. I have learned over time that the two included attachments are the only ones I really use and both can be stored right onboard the vacuum. I love that both the foam and felt filters can be rinsed in water and do not need to be repurchased. That being said, I usually buy another set anyway so that I can rinse one set and still be able to use the vacuum while they completely dry out. As for the performance, it works really well. The ability to easily adjust the level of suction right from the handle means that I can go from a throw rug, to an area rug, to a wood floor quickly and easily. The swivel operates flawlessly and makes maneuvering a breeze. And the extension of the hose is great. To reach the ceiling, I don’t have to do any heavy lifting or stretching. The dust bin is quite large and is also easy to release and empty. This particular item might not have a tons of bells and whistles, but it just works. For 95% of my tasks, it’s all I need. And it is a great value! Every single one of my Shark vacuums are still working great, and I’m sure this item is no exception. For the price, it has everything I need and really exceeded my expectations once I used it. I don’t see any reason to spend three or fours times the cost of this item on any other vacuum, when this item does the job. Highly recommended!

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I researched this vacuum heavily before buying it and honestly I was not sure it was going to be as good as everyone said. I was wrong. The vacuum is stellar. I can tell that it’s cleaning the carpet in a way that it was not cleaned by my old Shark vacuum because of what I see in the dust cup as they call it.. it’s hardly a cup it’s huge. The one thing they don’t tell you in all the reviews and videos that I watched is that the motorized brush rollers are really powerful. I’m 72 but fairly strong very physically active/fit and this thing just about ran away with me. It was a workout to use it. Not in a bad way but still a workout. The forward is easy..but on the backstroke you’ve got to really pull against those brushes that want to go forward. Very impressive results so far. I might update this after three or four months of using it. I have a low pile ribbed carpet and I’ve been using it on the medium setting which seems to be appropriate for this carpet. I’ve not tried it on my hardwood floors yet. All I can say is the suction is very strong and puts my older.Shark Navigator and classic Miele cannister vacuum to shame. Completely worth the slightly higher price, very easy to put together right out of the box,. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

Customer Review: This is my second Shark Vertex, model az2002. The first one lasted 5 years. The plastic swivel component that attached to the floor vacuum literally broke in pieces, a small piece first, then a large piece, then all of it. It would still vacuum, but not stand up, nor could you maneuver it. Tried repairing, gave up. I replaced it with a Shark Navigator lift away. I had previously owned one of those. After using the Navigator for 7 or 8 months, I decided to go back to the Shark Vertex. My reasons were, the Vertex is self cleaning. I have a great Pyrenees and a shepherd Pyrenees mix, a 2 small dogs. I vacuum every other day. It takes forever when you have to stop and clean the brush roll out. I also have a shag area rug, and when using the Navigator, even with adjusting the suction, it was more of a work out and struggle. I started looking at the Vertex model and caught it on sale on Amazon, I won’t say what I paid, but it’s a lot cheaper than what the price is now. Having said all this, the Vertex is worth it. The suction surpasses the Navigator, and it even dusts your floors. Long dog hair, no problem, vacuuming the car, got it. I dont find it to be heavy, or cumbersome. The Navigator is a good vacuum, but for me the Vertex is worth it, even if I only get another 5 years out of it.

The battery performance is strong for quick, everyday tasks, and the unit itself is lightweight, making it easy to maneuver around the house. The suction power is noticeably stronger than any other vacuum I’ve used, and it maintains that power consistently.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This is a great vacuum cleaner. We previously tried a Shark Navigator, but found it to be very hard to push on carpet. My wife could not push it at all. Bear in mains that this is not a self propelled model. We tried bleeding off suction, and that did not work. We ended up calling Shark customer service and we were told that this model had a reputation of being hard to push on carpet. Wish we had known this information before we bought one. When we buy a vacuum cleaner, we want one that will do all types of flooring. This Stratos model is lighter and easy to push on carpet. Also works well on tile and hardwood floors. The only negative is that it will not stand up on it’s own, unless you lean it against a wall. That is a small thing and something we can easily live with. It does have a small container for debris, but emptying it is easy. The suction is good. No problem collecting just about anything on the floors.

Customer Review: This is the best vacuum I’ve ever had. It’s so powerful, works backwards and forward, the pet attachment makes cleaning the stairs (my least favorite) easier than ever. Super lightweight, the double rollers are new and work great, easy to empty, easy to change attachments, the auto detect for hard floor or carpet works perfectly. I kiss this vacuum!💋

10. Shark NV360 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright Vacuum

The NV360 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe is a classic workhorse with a major upgrade: an extra-large dust cup. It has powerful suction, swivel steering, and an Anti-Allergen Complete Seal with a HEPA filter. It’s a no-nonsense, high-capacity vacuum built for families and pet owners who want to minimize interruptions during big cleaning jobs.

Key Features That Stand Out

  • Self-Cleaning Brushroll: The proven, hair-wrap-free design that picks up pet hair effortlessly.
  • Extra-Large Dust Cup Capacity: Holds significantly more debris than standard models, reducing stops.

  • Swivel Steering: Excellent maneuverability for its size.

It takes the already excellent Navigator formula and adds the most requested upgrade: a bigger dust cup. For families with pets or long hair, being able to clean an entire floor without stopping to empty is a huge time-saver. It’s the ultimate “workhorse” Navigator for those who hate interruptions.

Best For

Busy families with multiple pets and long hair who do whole-home cleaning sessions. Perfect for large single-story homes or anyone who finds themselves emptying a small dust cup multiple times during one cleaning.

Pros and Cons

Pros:
  • Extra-large dust cup drastically reduces how often you need to stop and empty.
  • Reliable, effective Self-Cleaning Brushroll eliminates hair wrap.
  • Lift-Away mode adds excellent versatility for stairs and furniture.
  • Strong suction and good HEPA filtration.
  • Swivel steering makes it easier to move than its size suggests.
Cons:
  • The larger dust cup makes the unit slightly taller and bulkier for storage.
  • Can be heavy to carry in the Lift-Away mode due to the larger canister.
  • Corded design limits range without an extension cord.
  • No advanced sensor features like the POWERDETECT models.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This is a long one, but it’s worth the read if you’re doing some serious shopping for a vacuum cleaner: I picked this up in October so I’ve been using it for a few months just to get a genuine sense of how this vacuum really performed and I am absolutely impressed! This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. ( If you’re wondering why I own so many vacuums, I clean for a living.) I bought this for the house. I have two cats and a husband who’s into Warhammer so you know there are sprew bits and cat hair everywhere and this thing handles it like a champ! I wasn’t sold on how small the floor attachment was until I used it: I can get underneath my barstools so much easier now and my entire house ( approx. 2000 sq ft.) is done in 20 minutes, tops! There is a learning curve, but that’s something you get with any new vacuum. I was also super impressed by the ease with which I can switch from floor to handheld attachments. Some of these other vacuums I’ve used are so bulky and difficult to handle all the small attachments… Not this one! I’m able to switch back and forth from floor to handheld quick, fast and in a hurry. Bonus points that it’s lightweight. I’m not killing myself just to vacuum my house. It’s really saved my back! And it was so much less expensive than the Dyson or the Kirby. The window on the floor attachment gives me a clear view of the roller brush ( yeah, it makes me accountable which is a good thing. It’s harder to ignore when I can see it so thanks for that, too. ). The cord is a tad short, so I went ahead a bought a small extension cord to go with it, but other than that, I’m very impressed! I wish I had bought this years ago. I will never buy another vacuum from anyone else other than Shark again. Good job, guys! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious little vacuum.

Customer Review: I picked up this Shark Navigator Lift-Away vacuum to replace an older one, and it’s been a big improvement. The suction is strong and does a great job picking up dirt, dust, and pet hair from both carpets and hard floors. One feature I really like is the Lift-Away option, which makes it much easier to clean stairs and tighter spaces without dragging the whole vacuum around. It’s also pretty lightweight and easy to maneuver around furniture. Emptying the dust bin is simple and not messy, which is always a plus. Overall, it’s a reliable vacuum that cleans well and is easy to use throughout the house. Definitely a solid choice if you want something powerful without being overly heavy or complicated.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Anti Wrap Shark Vacuum For Long Hair

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing a Shark vacuum specifically for long hair and pet hair, the brushroll technology is the single most important factor. Look for terms like “Self-Cleaning Brushroll,” “PowerFins,” or “DuoClean.” These designs use rubber fins or dual brushrolls to actively prevent hair from wrapping. Next, consider the vacuum type: uprights offer maximum power and capacity for whole-home cleaning, while cordless sticks offer unmatched convenience for quick jobs. Suction power (measured in Watts or Air Watts) and filtration (HEPA seal) are critical for deep cleaning and allergies. Finally, Lift-Away functionality adds incredible versatility, turning an upright into a portable canister.

Budget Planning

You can find a capable anti-wrap Shark vacuum from around $200 to over $500. The budget-friendly Navigator models (ZU503, ZD201, NV360) offer the core self-cleaning brushroll and Lift-Away at a lower price. The mid-range Performance and Rotator models (UV2500, LA502) add DuoClean PowerFins and more automation for $300-$400. The premium POWERDETECT and Stratos models (AZ4002, AZ3002) feature sensor-driven cleaning and maximum power, costing $400+. For cordless, expect to pay $300-$500 for high-performance models with long runtime. Decide which features are non-negotiable for your home and budget accordingly.

Final Thoughts

Shark’s anti-wrap technology has genuinely solved the #1 vacuum headache for long-haired households. Whether you need the raw power of a Stratos for thick carpets, the smart automation of a POWERDETECT, or the cordless freedom of a high-end stick, there’s a Shark model that will save you from constantly cutting hair off the brushroll. Our top pick, the 650W Cordless Vacuum, brings best-in-class power and runtime to the cordless category, making it our overall winner for most users. For those who prefer a traditional upright with the best value, the Shark Navigator Lift-Away (ZU503AMZ) remains an unbeatable, time-tested choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does Shark’s anti-wrap brushroll actually work?

A: Shark’s Self-Cleaning Brushroll uses rubber fins and a specific design that actively combs hair off the roller as it spins, directing it into the dust cup instead of letting it wind around the axle. DuoClean PowerFins uses stiff, rubber-tined fins that agitate carpet and engage hard floors while also deflecting hair. The key is that these are active systems, not just passive designs, which is why they are so effective.

Q: Are Shark vacuums good for both carpet and hard floors?

A: Absolutely. Most models feature a brushroll shut-off switch for hard floors to prevent scattering debris. The DuoClean models (PowerFins) are particularly excellent on hard floors because the soft roller maintains direct contact, picking up fine dust and debris without pushing it around. Many also have automatic floor-detection sensors that adjust settings for you.

Q: What’s the difference between Lift-Away and Powered Lift-Away?

A: Standard Lift-Away detaches the entire canister (pod) from the floor nozzle, allowing you to carry the motor and dust cup with you for above-floor cleaning. Powered Lift-Away (found on Stratos/Vertex models) keeps the motor connected to the pod, so you retain 100% of the vacuum’s suction power even when detached. This makes it significantly more powerful for cleaning stairs and upholstery.

Q: How often should I clean or replace the filters?

A: The foam and felt filters in most Sharks are washable and reusable. Rinse them with cold water and let them air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. It’s good practice to do this every 3 months. The HEPA filter (if your model has a separate one) typically needs replacement every 6-12 months, depending on use. Always check your specific model’s manual.

Q: Can I use a Shark vacuum on my long hair without it wrapping?

A: Yes, that’s the whole point! The models featured in this roundup are specifically engineered to prevent hair wrap. However, extremely thick, clumped, or wet hair can still potentially cause issues with any vacuum. For best results, vacuum regularly before hair accumulates into large mats. The anti-wrap systems work best on normal, everyday amounts of shed hair.

Dealing with long hair doesn’t have to mean a constant battle with your vacuum cleaner. Shark’s dedicated anti-wrap technologies have been perfected over years to offer real, tangible solutions. Whether you choose the cordless convenience of our top pick or the raw power of a Stratos, you’re investing in a tool that will save you countless hours of frustrating maintenance.
