Customer Review: The vacuum is just like the other Sharks I have had. Great suction, filtration and ease of use. I love the hand roller tool, it works great on my cat trees! Also the other tools work well. The only downfall is the cord is much shorter than my last Shark. My last Shark is still working, but it has been used a lot. Excellent quality, I have no doubt it will last for years. I would buy this again. Only my 3rd Shark because they last while getting put through the test at our house. Customer Review: Oh my goodness, apparently my previous vacuum was either just super old or was just mainly meant for hard floors with a few carpets I laid out so it worked. My new apartment is mostly carpet. I have ran this vacuum over it for like an hour and a half just in my living room which isn’t huge and was just dumping canister after canister. It was like my previous vacuum just surface vacuumed. It has amazing suction power and it is not kicking dust everywhere. I like that it has two bins for dirt collection. One collects larger things like small toys you accidentally suck up which has a filter to the other bin which collects the dirt and dust. Totally worth the price. The only con is it is a bit awkward using the attachments because the hose is a bit short but it has great suctioning power.

Customer Review: I’ve never taken the time to write a review before but I decided I needed to for this vacuum. To start, I hate cleaning, period. I do it because I don’t like a messy house but I absolutely dread having to clean. When the vacuum arrived I was excited because it’s something shiny and new for the house. The box was in great condition and it was a speedy delivery and arrived before it was supposed to. I opened the box and everything was individually wrapped and well padded which made me happy. I started unwrapping and didn’t even look at the instructions to put it together because it was that easy… In the box along with the vacuum we’re the crevice tool, the dusting brush, the straight suction floor nozzle and the upholstery tool. The straight suction floor nozzle fits all the way under my couch and my recliner which makes it much easier to clean. Second, my one year old son is deathly afraid of vacuums and when I turned this on he didn’t even flinch. He just sat there and watched it because it’s not super noisy like most vacuums. Third, I have mostly hard floors and only two carpeted rooms in my house and I started vacuuming with the brush roll off and was just absolutely amazed by what it picked up… This vacuum picked up all the dirt and crumbs and even the goldfish that were underneath the high chair… I went ahead and vacuumed the living room, dining room and kitchen with no problems. I didn’t have to unplug and move outlets because the cord was long enough to reach all of it… I went to vacuum the two carpeted bedrooms (which had been vacuumed the night before) and to my surprise it picked up so much. Customer Review: Having grown frustrated with myself for only finding time and motivation to write a review when I’m disappointed with something, I wanted to seize this opportunity to sing the praises of this remarkable machine!! We bought this vacuum to replace an Oreck Touch which had failed… I’ve always regarded Oreck as a ‘top shelf’ product, and heard good things about their customer service — while I’ve always perceived Shark to be a cheaply made, lower-end product… I have been proven profoundly wrong on both counts!… THIS vacuum is proving a wonderful contrast to that experience! Last night I was using the wand to reach some dust-bunnies behind the toilet and inadvertently sucked up one of those protective plastic caps… Following the suction path through the hoses and ‘elbows’, etc, I came up empty — until I finally noticed the cap reposing in the dust container, ‘comfortably’ nestled into the dust and dog hair! THAT truly impressed me!… The easily detachable wand makes grabbing debris behind dresser legs, etc a breeze. The ability to detach the handle portion of the hose FROM the wand makes use of the brush attachment (or furniture attachment) quick and easy to wield. Lamp shades and bases etc are receiving far more frequent (and quicker!) attention because this is so much easier than I’m used to! Oh, and it’s SO much quieter than I’ve grown to expect! The dust container is easy to remove and empty. Opening at both ends, there are no cavities where hair can get trapped… Every time I empty this, I am so pleased with how simple, quick and relatively clean the task is!… The “Lift Away” feature is a real bonus… So far, the only “con” I can think of is that the canister portion of the vacuum is bulky enough to prevent it from reaching very far under furniture… Given all the other upsides there are though, that seems a pretty small downside.

Customer Review: Warning, it’s a long read, but I wanted to go into deep detail. To start, I have been a Rainbow vacuum user for so long. I love them and felt they worked amazingly. Next, I have 3 dogs & a cat. One is a thick coat lab and the cat sheds so much as well. Another next, I have horrible allergies and wanted something that would help keep them calm as well. I also have a lung disease and need something that will pick up as much junk as possible to keep them clear. Now, on to the Shark vacuum. I got tired of lugging around the Rainbow and wanted to look into a vacuum that my daughter could use and help out. I found this Shark vacuum and 6 others that grabbed my attention. I dug deep. I read through every review, good, bad, indifferent. I wanted a vacuum that was going to truly pick up pet hair/dander, as well as pick up sand & dirt. I was drawn to this specific vacuum saying pet & allergen vacuum and loved that so many of the reviews said it had amazing suction power. I thought there’s no way it can be as amazing as most were raving about. After 2 months of digging and narrowing down vacuums, I was left with this one. I finally decided to purchase it and see what all the fuss was about. It came in today and I immediately put it together to the it out. I had just vacuumed with my Rainbow vacuum 2 days before, so I didn’t expect much. Oh….my….gosh…! I am blown away! Seriously, no joke! The picture you see attached was after 2 passes over a 2′ x 2′ area in my living room. Not kidding…pushed it forward, pulled it back. Did this one other time. I was completely astonished! There is no way my carpet is that dirty after using my Rainbow 2 days before! I swore by that vacuum and how great of a job it did, so I thought. This vacuum pulled out dirt, sand, pet fur from 3 families ago, it seems lol. I immediately took this picture and dumped the reservoir since it was full. I was excited to finish the rest of my living room and then move on to the rest of the house. It took me 30 minutes to vacuum my living room because I had to keep stopping to empty the reservoir. I am grossed out that it was that dirty, but so grateful that I purchased this Shark vacuum. The vacuum is super easy to put together. It’s not heavy and is easy to use. I love that it has the large vacuum and the option to break it down to a hand held vacuum to get baseboards and hard to reach areas. I also love that the power switch has 3 positions; Off, Bare floor, and carpet. I love that there is a place on the vacuum for hose attachments. I love that the power cable is quite long. I love that it’s compact enough to fit in my coat closet, but large enough to vacuum the living room quicker than the sport vacuum. It makes vacuuming a breeze. The price is amazing for being a Shark vacuum. This vacuum is so amazing that I finished vacuuming, rinsed the reservoir and filter, put it away, and immediately sat down to write this review. Seriously give this vacuum a try! Your only regret is that you didn’t get it sooner.

Customer Review: I have been a Dyson monster owner for many years. This shark does better on several fronts. It is more maneuverable and has a lower profile front head so you can reach under cabinets to baseboards which the monster simply would not do. I realize Dyson has probably upgraded in this area I am comparing to an older model because that is what I have. Suction on the shark is awesome beats out the Dyson although again my Dyson is older and maybe a bit leakier in the seals. Biggest thing on this Shark which really is a game changer for me is the ability to pick up the vacuum with the handle and then vacuum using the wand in other hand (this is shown on the box package) and really makes cleaning stairs so much easier. I have a flight of wood stairs. it was always a thrash with a Dyson because I would have to leave the base and use the long hose and wand which was always annoying to manage. this shark you can carry along with you and just vacuum as you go cuts the time and headache on stairs considerably and in fact with old Dyson I usually often would just skip doing the stairs and let them get dirtier and dirtier so much was it annoying. This is a seamless move from vacuuming the floor to lifting off the wand and walking up the stairs and vacuuming. Can also change attachments on the fly while vacuuming in carry mode. I will say the weight and balance of this vacuum when using on the floor is a bit heavier as other users have mentioned but unless you were doing a lot of vacuuming on a very large space or have strength issues this not an issue. I like the clasps that hook on the dust container on this vacuum the dysons were always a bit perilous if you pushed one wrong button you could dump the thing open when transporting it. Also I never felt super comfortable lifting the vacuum using the handle on my Dyson because it felt like you could rip the dustbin off if not careful (outward pull). This feels more secure. Durability remains to be seen as I’ve had Dyson about 10 years so that is a plus although have replaced a few parts along way… Hoses especially. One thing I don’t like as much about the is when I empty the shark the dust container has some tubes/structure in which debris tends to get hung up on when I empty. Have to mess with it a bit more to fully dump. the Dyson it was easy to just open and dump the whole thing out one shot. Overall awesome value great features. Unless it dies real early… I’m a fan.

Customer Review: Excellent vacuum. Powerful suction and lightweight, easy to maneuver, design. I like the larger tank which affords longer use without need of emptying as frequently. The lift away is great for blinds, curtains, overhead vents, et al. Another great feature is the three position power switch: 1) off, 2) on/suction only, and 3) on/suction and brush. The suction only is particularly useful if you are vacuuming an uncarpeted hardwood, or tile floor. I’ve been hard on vacuums in the past and gone through some highly rated models but I feel like this Shark model might actually go the distance.

Customer Review: This is a long one, but it’s worth the read if you’re doing some serious shopping for a vacuum cleaner: I picked this up in October so I’ve been using it for a few months just to get a genuine sense of how this vacuum really performed and I am absolutely impressed! This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. (If you’re wondering why I own so many vacuums, I clean for a living.) I bought this for the house. I have two cats and a husband who’s into Warhammer so you know there are sprew bits and cat hair everywhere and this thing handles it like a champ! I wasn’t sold on how small the floor attachment was until I used it: I can get underneath my barstools so much easier now and my entire house ( approx. 2000 sq ft.) is done in 20 minutes, tops! There is a learning curve, but that’s something you get with any new vacuum. I was also super impressed by the ease with which I can switch from floor to handheld attachments. Some of these other vacuums I’ve used are so bulky and difficult to handle all the small attachments… Not this one! I’m able to switch back and forth from floor to handheld quick, fast and in a hurry. Bonus points that it’s lightweight. I’m not killing myself just to vacuum my house. It’s really saved my back! And it was so much less expensive than the Dyson or the Kirby. The window on the floor attachment gives me a clear view of the roller brush (yeah, it makes me accountable which is a good thing. It’s harder to ignore when I can see it so thanks for that, too.). The cord is a tad short, so I went ahead a bought a small extension cord to go with it, but other than that, I’m very impressed! I wish I had bought this years ago. I will never buy another vacuum from anyone else other than Shark again. Good job, guys! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious little vacuum.

Customer Review: My five star review does have a caveat. This cordless vacuum is perfect for me. I live in a one bedroom apartment with carpet, hardwood and tile floors. Not only is it perfect for when I am doing my normal weekly cleaning but it is wonderful for quick cleanups. However it will not be good for someone who lives in a larger space because the battery charge doesn’t last for a long time. If I vacuum my entire apartment including using the attachments for corners and blinds, the battery is pretty much used up. I keep it charged and make sure it doesn’t get less than one charge light. I don’t have space to install a charger that you just place the vacuum on each time up you use it. So the fact that the charger just plugs into a wall socket is perfect. I am very happy with this product.

Customer Review: This is a great little vacuum cleaner! I highly recommend it. It works so well; it actually makes vacuuming more enjoyable and feel less like a chore. It’s very light and maneuverable and has great suction on any/all surfaces. And is very simple to quickly break down to clean it (I use my shop vac for that). The only complaint I have, is the battery life of the 4ah battery supplied, it’s not bad when cleaning hardwood floors, but when you turn it up for cleaning carpet, it quickly runs out of juice. But on the plus side, the battery is removable, so if you have a second battery (I have an 8ah battery on order), you can have one on the charger ready to go, while you are using the one in the vacuum. Overall, I feel the performance and simplicity of this vacuum, justifies the price tag of both the vacuum and the extra battery.

Customer Review: I am where vacuums go to die. With 4 dogs and 5 cats, living on a mountain farm, I kill vacuums on a regular basis. I’ve managed to take out everything from an old Kirby to a new Dyson & everything in between. Even the ones designed for pet hair didn’t last long. Then I got a shark navigator. It was true love! It was like having a Catholic priest come in on a regular basis to perform an exorcism on my carpets. For years, me & my Shark performed miracles in my home, proclaiming from my mountain top… THIS HOUSE IS CLEAN! Then we moved. I allowed a stranger to take my beloved Shark and haul it 2600 miles. By the time it arrived, it was too late. I founded it shoved behind a pile of boxes, hidden by the movers until after they left. It was literally in pieces, it’s hoses and cords shredded and pulled from thier sockets. The handle snapped off at the neck, there was no chance of resurrection. I couldn’t imagine what kind of torture my poor loyal side kick had endured, and was in doubt I would ever know such admiration for a household appliance again. I started the quest for a new vacuum, of course I knew it would be impossible to find such perfection again… After days of exhaustive searching… thinking perhaps I could find a remanufactured version of my old pal, I gave up. It was time to admit I had to buy something different. Still, my Navigator had been so wonderful, and I hadn’t found anything on the market that seemed better so I ordered a newer model, and set my heart to disappointment. Certainly I would never find another who could make my heart pitter pat like that again! My new Shark arrived and I pulled it from the box… The Shark came to life, illuminated with the power surging through it. With a light touch, the new machine moved as though floating over the floor, and followed my directions as though reading my mind. The shredded debris was instantly gone, nothing missed, no second pass needed. It was so efficient we were done before I knew it… It had done its duty well, with no hesitation or complaints. My old friend was laid to rest, and a new one had come to fill the hole in my heart & my closet. My dogs & cats fur would not be allowed to over run my home. I had a new champion that promised to fight the good fight. All that remains to be seen is how long it will last. As we all lived happily ever after.

Customer Review: I’ve been using my Shark Cordless vacuum for a few months now. I still love it. I was waiting to make sure it kept working before reviewing. So far, so good. I haven’t had the best luck with the less expensive cordless vacuums. One was so hard to clean I just sent it back. Another had a problem with the rollers not spinning. I managed to keep it going for 2 years but always presented problems. This one is easy. The rollers stop the nanosecond a problem is detected and nothing has gotten wrapped up in them. This one is not so expensive that I couldn’t afford it and is what I was looking for. It seems durable and hopefully it will last more than a few years. It’s easy to use, lightweight and empties very easily. Just hold it over the garbage can and push the button. Nice. It’s also easy to charge. I just plug it in next to a wall and let it charge. My only complaint is actually that the charge barely lasts long enough. I have 1204 sq. ft. on 3 levels. I use a larger, corded vacuum for the top level that has 2 carpeted bedrooms. So, I’m only vacuuming the hard floors on the 2nd level (with some throw rugs) and the carpeted living room on the ground floor. Also 18 total carpeted steps. So, I wish the charge would last another 10-15 minutes for a more complete job. That said, it works so well, that I’m still very happy. The best part is that it’s small enough and light enough to make cleaning the stairs a lot less of a chore than with a full-sized regular vacuum. The rollers pull strongly and the suction is quite adequate. Not overwhelmingly so but does the job. I have 2 cats and need to be able to have a handy device especially for the steps where they love to play.

Customer Review: As a disclaimer, our home is 1700ft2, and about 2/3 of it is carpeted. The vacuum works phenomenal on the regular carpeting and hardwood in the house, but struggles a little bit with the wool area rug. The variety of ways this vacuum can be assembled makes it extremely versatile. For example, using the regular brush roll head while removing the extension works wonders on the carpeted stairs. The short “handheld” version with the scraper does great on the couch. And the extension, with the small ended nozzle, works great for after the initial vacuuming, getting all the dirt along the edges of the rooms and furniture. It lays down almost flat, so getting under things like the dog food bowls, the couch, the dining room table etc are a breeze. So the reason I made the title the way I did, is related to battery life. To realistically clean our first floor (mostly hardwood/tile + wool rug) and the second floor (totally carpeted) will eat up the entire battery. The battery is NOT fast to charge. The runtime is based I believe on the vacuum running in “handheld mode” (aka without the brush head). So, if you’re home is over 1500ft2 and mostly carpeted, you’re going to have to throw it on the charger for a while most likely. I think it would greatly benefit Shark to come up with swappable batteries, think Milwaukee or DeWalt style. If you’re handy you can do this yourself, but it would greatly benefit the company to have a proprietary design for this. Another con, though I hesitate to call it a con based on the portability of this vacuum, is the power. As mentioned, it does great on our regular carpeting, but just isn’t as good as the corded Shark we’ve had for almost 10 years. This is to be expected as the motor in the corded vac draws significantly more power than the cordless battery version, but still worth mentioning. The vacuum is very light and easy to use. The blue light on the front of the roller head is AWESOME, and will show every spec of dirt on any uncarpeted surface. Overall, for the sale price we got it at (I want to say between $175-225, can’t remember exactly) it has been excellent. Just keep in mind how much you’re going to want to run it at once, as if you’re living space is too big, you will have to take long breaks to recharge the vacuum.

Customer Review: With ten years of cleaning professionally, the only vacuum cleaner I’ll use is the Shark. Over the years I’ve owned five of them and in my opinion they are the best on the market. I like them so much that I usually buy one every couple of years and give the one I use for work away to a family that needs a vacuum. The reason I buy a new one every few years is because I look forward to the newer models. Mine are used 7 days a week and the houses I’m in are 10,000 square feet. They are in constant use and the first one I gave away is ten years old and running like a top according to the family that is still using it. The number one complaint from reviews I’ve seen is the weight. Yes, it’s heavy, weighing 17 pounds. It’s self propelled and will run away if you don’t learn how to use it correctly. An elderly person who has problems with walking or lacking strength should not use this particular model. I’m elderly, 69, but I’m physically fit and lift it in my SUV twice daily 7 days a week. I vacuum staircases and every part of these houses. The suction is powerful. I’ve used the most expensive vacuums and they don’t come close to the Shark vacuums. This particular model is the quietest vacuum I’ve ever used. The most important thing I can say is to clean your vacuum regularly. The Shark is easy to take apart for cleaning. I break mine down once a week to clean every part of it, including the roller, wheels and electrical cord. Vacuum cleaners work hard and get nasty if they aren’t cleaned properly and regularly. So, if you’re looking for something that will last and work like new every day, year after year, then Shark is the best choice and the most reliable vacuum made.

Customer Review: Incredible vacuum for pet hair! It has great versatility between the different modes, but all those options may take time to learn if you’re coming from a simple vacuum. Thankfully, the included manual is great and if you’re not a reader, all the knobs and buttons are labelled and their placement makes sense, so you’ll figure it out eventually. Our apartment is mostly carpet and we have 2 cats. My spouse recently got diagnosed with asthma, so we upgraded our vacuum to try to get more of the hair and dander. This vacuum is incredible at picking up everything! The carpet looks new after and the results in the dust bin are amazing. This is a fairly heavy vacuum, so if you have an extremely large home or limited mobility, you may find your arm gets tired. It does roll really smoothly and you have a lot of control with turns/curves. At first I thought the light in front of the swivel head was a gimmick, but I was surprised with how useful it is. I was able to see a hidden paperclip in the carpet before running it over. Emptying the bin is an easy lever that also closes and re-latches the bin’s lid without having to touch the dusty parts. Hair doesn’t get stuck in the bin like other vacuums, it just falls right out. I appreciate this vacuum and it’s a great upgrade. I have heard Shark products are not the longest lasting, but we’ve been using this regularly for almost 6 months now with no issues. Still great performance and I’d really recommend this to carpeted households with furry friends.

Customer Review: For the price this is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned! It came neatly packaged. It was easy to put together. I’ve had it for 6 months now and the suction still works great! Love how it swivels in every direction possible so I can make tight turns at the last second! This is super light weight compared to Dyson! The pet hair remover is amazing and is very powerful! I use the attachments on the stairs all the time. Yes, you’ll need to use the hose for baseboards, but most vacuums are like that. My only complaint is the attachments fall off the vacuum while running it. Not sure how to fix that unless I remove them. Other than that, this vacuum works like a charm!

It is heavy, but it truly sucks up dirt and raises the carpet hairs up again! My husband adores this machine (which is awesome) and is constantly using it around the house. The speed, attachments, and dust collection are outstanding. It is remarkably quiet and my pets really appreciate that. I have a dog, cat, and free-roaming bunny.
