Customer Review: I like to submit reviews after I’ve used a product for a while — we live in world where so many things are built to break, and when you’re paying this much for a vacuum, you want to know it will stand the test of time. First, this is the stripped-down version, but the sucking power is tremendous — enough that it easily takes care of our hardwood floors, but also works for our heavy rugs, even a large “shag” rug. Lesser vacuums will use spinning rollers to move carpet fibers around, but I’m pretty sure that equal or superior cleaning can be accomplished just with the massive suction power of this vacuum.We love that it’s also light and quiet. The simple attachments are well thought-out — you can easily shorten or lengthen the working end, and the brush attachment is GREAT for cleaning window screens. After three years, the cord is still retracting like the day we bought it, and the suction is just as strong.Note that this is an investment, and to keep it healthy you probably want to go with miele brand bags made especially for this vacuum. They’re pricey, and if you’re plastic conscious, they have a plastic attachment on each bag. But the way they filter the air (along with the other filters in the vacuum) means that super-clean air emerges from the top of the vacuum. That’s another plus, by the way — the external air vent is on top of the vacuum. We’ve had other vacuums where it vents out the back, often blowing dust and dirt around. But straight up means that that doesn’t happen.I’m trying to think of some cons, but after trying so many other lesser vacuums in the past and having so many break (cord not retracting, power button malfunctioning, etc.), we’re just so happy with our “princess miele”.A final note is that the three years of service from this vacuum haven’t been gentle years — we’ve gone through two moves, and loaned it repeatedly to a neighbor who didn’t have a vacuum. It thoroughly cleans thick or Berber carpets and easy to move between rooms with its long power cord. The motor has powerful suction to pick up objects such as food crumbs, tiny paper, small plastics, and pet hair. Canister encasing is sturdy plastic which does not break or scrape easily. Attachments fit well and useful on most upholstery surfaces. The vacuum is best suited for basic cleaning. Retail price for the vacuum is around $400, but sometimes had for less. The only drawback to report is vacuum bags/filters are pricey if one uses genuine branded replacements. So far, am completely satisfied!

It is super powerful and does a great job cleaning the whole house. It doesn’t have the bells and whistles: the cord has to be manually let out and cleaned up, the accessories don’t snap together and come apart sometimes, it is pretty loud – but I’ll take those inconveniences any day as long as the vacuum works well and doesn’t cost > $600.The only reason I’d not recommend this vacuum is if your house is mainly carpet or rugs. It works great on hard floors but it kept suctioning too much to the rugs/getting stuck and I had to get creative with the accessories to clean the few rugs I have.

Customer Review: What do I say about this little vacuum? It is AWESOME, but yet I’m still a teensy bit disappointed? I guess I was hoping for a complete upright replacement, and yeah, it isn’t. I have 2 rugs of short, yet very dense pile that will still need my old upright for a deeper ‘rug beater ‘ clean.That said, this little vac works GREAT on my bare floors (90%) of my home. Sucks dirt and particles I didnt even know I had out from under my baseboards, (using just the wand with no brush or crevice tool , a few pine needles from a ‘live’ Christmas tree 2 years ago came out and paint chips from a reno 7 years ago came out!) I got super nasty dust off my ceiling fans with the little brush attachment thing without significant effort on my part and likewise was able dust my winow blinds with same attachment and minimizing the level of ‘suck’ by opening the adjustment port on the handle. Very impressive! Still, I wish I could vacuum my two nice rugs. It works well on my Home Depot shaggy rug and my Home Depot ‘Oriental’ rug, but yeah either sucks too hard and get stuck on my good rugs or it just skips over the surface and doesn’t suck anything.So. I am still giving 5 stars as a tool to add to my home cleaning arsenal. Truly I am impressed. That said, depending on your rug situation, be aware, it may not be great for every rug type. The extension poles ARE plastic, not metal, if they hold up , we’ll be golden. The plastic doees keep it very light though which is why the ceiling fans weren’t difficult. So I’ll take it. Oh, last thing the attachments and cord stow away nicely, the wand and hose, not so much. I have a bigger utility loset so that doesn’t bother me, but if you need your vacuum to be really ‘tidy’ in storage, you may want to take that into consideration.

Purchased March 6 2026.I consider myself a pretty tidy housekeeper and people often mention my house looks nice, but this vacuum has proved them wrong. I had vacuumed 3 days prior to the first use of this Kenmore using *oover upright that is about 10 years old. Except for my kitchen and dining, my house is wall to wall carpet.Assembly – Fairly straightforward. No issues. Manual is easy to understand.Canister – Seems sturdy. A little awkward to pull along unless you’re in a wide open area, but this may just be me getting used to a canister vs always having an upright vacHose – very flexible and easy to work with. Switch out of cleaning heads is easy with a press of your foot. The telescope feature is nice for reaching curtains and under beds.Cleaning heads – all are very useful. I do not have hardwood but found the hard floor attachment nice to gently go over curtains without having to remove them. I did use it to vacuum under a low clearance dresser (3″) and it allowed me to clean completely underneath – something my upright was impossible to do. The brush attachment made easy work with cleaning my honeycomb blinds without damaging the fragile fabric. The crevice tool was nice for getting the dust from the carpet along the baseboards. The carpet head has easy foot-tap height change. It did a fantastic job on lifting the pile of my older carpet.Before opening the dust bag I was pretty pleased with how my carpet looked. After opening the dust bag (which I did because I accidentally vacuumed a button), the amount of dust and who knows what else was absolutely disgusting! I had no idea my upright was missing so much. The vacuum bags are great as far as trapping dust and allergens. One of the pics I took after cutting the bag open shows the multi layer assembly. Three layers of fabric tissue and an outer layer of tight bond fabric on the exterior. Nothing escaping this bag! The bag does seem to be too long for the compartment, but I just folded it up toward the opening.So far I am completely satisfied with this Kenmore and would recommend it. Customer Review: I almost never write a review, but this vacuum cleaner is amazing! I can’t believe I’m writing a review for a vacuum cleaner. Here’s the deal: I have a black and a yellow lab. I have a Malamute/GSD mix and some kind of a lab/pit/weirdo. Four dogs. My old vacuum was a Dyson. After about a month, every time I vacuumed I could smell a strong awful dog smell, even after tearing the thing apart and cleaning it. It was so bad, my husband refused to vacuum and would leave the house when I vacuumed. I had to constantly spray carpet freshener because my house smelled like dog. I figured it was because I had four dogs. I absolutely needed a vacuum cleaner that didn’t puff out foul dog smell. I researched and read reviews and went for this Kenmore. It was like a miracle took place in my vacuum world. I have been using this vacuum for several weeks. There is zero dog smell. It picks up every thing fabulously. The carpet attachment has a second motor in it and it pulls itself, practically. I only need to guide it. My severe back arthritis loves it. The floor attachment gets into those narrow odd places. I have used it for about a month every other day and I just changed the bag. It has a light that goes on to tell you the bag was full and the light never came on. So I only changed it because I thought surely it was full. It wasn’t 100% full. My house smells better and I think it’s because the suction power is superior and it gets all the dander. Remember, I have four big dogs. This vacuum is a vacuum miracle in my little world. If you have stinky, shedding dogs, I highly recommend this vacuum. It did not disappoint. It is very affordable. I looked at some vacuums that were over a thousand dollars, but this vacuum does everything I need it to and more.

I had one of these many years back and loved it but, when we moved, I sold it and ended up getting an upright (different brand) because I thought bagless was the way to go. Well, that led me on a seemingly never ending path of collecting vacuum cleaners. None of them made me happy. Then I read a consumer reports review that ranked this Kenmore canister in the top five for performance, filtration, effective cleaning. What? I had no idea they still existed. I went right away to Amazon and there it was. I had to order it. When it arrived, I didn’t even need to look at the manual to assemble it, it was almost exactly the same as the one I had over 10 years ago. I fired it up and vacuumed and was once again happy and amazed since Kenmore added a couple of upgrades that make it even better like the telescoping wand and the pop and lock attachment feature. I was able to get into corners and crevices again. The attachments that are included cover almost every need a home has. I am so excited to have found a new trusty vacuum that doesn’t leave me frustrated by lack luster cleaning. I hope Kenmore never stops making these. The design, performance, cleaning and filtration are top notch and the price is amazing. My floors and carpets are already looking a lot better. And it is light and easy to carry and maneuver.

Customer Review: I’m nearly 50 and this is my first canister vacuum ever. I’ve owned upright vacuums made by Dyson, Oreck, Shark, and Hoover for the most part over the years. Dyson seems to put more money into marketing than performance these days. Shark is great until they lose suction which happens within a year or so for me. And Oreck is wonderful but overpriced.So, I did a lot of reading. I knew I wanted a canister to be more maneuverable than an upright. I knew I wanted a bagged vacuum because bagless, while convenient, ends up with a filthy machine and dirt flying when emptying it. I knew I wanted a power roller. And I knew I didn’t want to spend an absolute fortune. So, this Kenmore fit the bill.When I received it, I vacuumed with my existing Shark Rotator Professional. Then I put the Kenmore to action to see what it picked up. The Kenmore picked up about another half a bag of dust. For reference my house is a little under 1800 sq ft. As of yet I haven’t noticed any loss of power or suction as the bag fills up.I love that you can switch from hard floor to carpet/rugs with the slide of a button on the handle and also change the suction strength in the same spot. I have all sorts of flooring from tile to hardwood to deep shag rugs and it handled them all with ease. The hose length is plenty long enough to reach my ceilings and the onboard tools are easily accessible. The self-retracting cord is a nice feature too. I estimate that a bag should last me about a month and there are plenty of third party bags on Amazon that are far less expensive than the OEM ones.My one minor complaint is that the handle is top-heavy and has a tendency to fall over if you’re not very careful about how you store it. Otherwise I’m very happy with my purchase
